Are you a geek?

Everyones a geek in someway- i'm sure everyone on this plannet has a passion for something, whether or not its something "popular" or not is another matter.

I fit into the stereotype by being a gamer, an art lover, having interests in sciences, nature, natual history, and ancient civilization. I'm doing a university course on Digital Media Arts (which covers animation, graphics, web design and filming). I also enjoy sci-fi and fantasy movies/games etc. In non-stereotypical way i'm a nerd when it comes to British alternative rock of the modern era (90s-today). Theres probably more but I can't think today... lalala.

Oh yeah, and I sometimes wear glasses with visable frames.

I'm a geek when it comes to gaming too much, sitting behind my comp a lot etc.
But I'm not a geek, cause I'm not scrawny/fat and actually sport a lot, got a big social life etc.

I haven't played a computer game for at least two years. I never read manga, or watch anime. I am terrible at maths.

I like to be outside, I like to talk. Miss a party to play FF? Christ. Like Fishie said, the game's not going anywhere. I decided a while ago that they're generally a complete waste of time anyway.

And yes, before the barrage of U NO LYK FF Y U ON FF SITE??????, I....am not quite sure why I'm still here, but we'll say the company for the sake on an easy life.

I guess you could call me a bit of a plant and tea geek. But hell no, not a computery geek. I like the outdoors too much.

I play video games daily, I read comics, I read manga, I have a decent collection of anime and video game figurines, I have a kingdom hearst scarf (which I never use because I live in australia).

On the other hand I don't exactly look like what would be classed as a stereotypical nerd. I mean my girlfriend is also big on manga and select video games but we head out to parties, have a few drinks, do what partners do (18+) and then...play video games. So I don't know, you be the judge.

I say I have geekish tendencies but meh.

Let's see.. I have a large manga collection.. check.. I own Final Fantasy music cds and some classical/opera music.. check.. I own mostly RPG video games for ps1 and ps2.. check.. I wear glasses.. CHECK... I talk differently than regular people(I explain a lot).. check.. I am not too big on hair styles.. check..

oh yeah, and the biggest check of all.. I play WoW.

So yeah, I'd say I'm pretty geeky. But, I'd rather embrace it than be ashamed of it. I was picked on all the time through out middle school and freshman year in highschool. But that ended in later highschool years, and now I spend most of my time playing WoW because I am jobless(for now). But I am not a loser-geek, for I have friends and a possible bf.. and a soon to be job!
