Do you ever read your old posts?

I like to look back on a lot of old stuff every once in a while, especially some of the old Clan Wars stuff, and things that haven't been used in years. They bring back fond memories. ^_^

Now, in regards to my posting style... absolutely nothing has changed in the past five years. I think, maybe, I was a little more excited about everything back then, and I definitely posted a bit more often than I do now, but otherwise... yep, nothing has changed in that regard. I do remember how some of our other vets used to post though, and boy, it wasn't pretty...

Not a lot because I don't want to remember how much of a n00b I was when I first joined up! I think I should have a look though just to remember what I have spoken about and how I may have changed since then. I did see one old post from ages ago and it was a one-liner basically and I was ashamed of myself lol. I don't think I was a real bad n00b when I first joined but I probably did say a lot of stupid things, I still do! I have changed though I think, I have matured a lot and hopefully other people think so too. I looked at a couple of earlier journal entries and was like.. 'Did I seriously write some of this?' It's not that bad though I suppose.

I'm going to read back on some of my posts just to see how things have changed for me.

Alas, I do. It's probably an unhealthy thing in my case. But yea. I sometimes read my journal from front to back and shake my head. It's hard to believe I've only been on this board eight months. But some of the things I wrote...wow...

But I stand by them. I don't make it up, ladies and gentlemen, I just write it down.

Yes, I've looked back on them. And edited ALOT.

Often I'll see an old post and be like "Holy ****. I was such a bloody n00b." And I'm sure there are definitely a few of you that can remember when I was especially like that. I've changed a hell of a lot. I'm disgusted with my own grammar and spelling, honestly. And the amount of spam I seem to have put out there for my first few months is phenomenal.

I also had a tendancy to project my love of Seymour Guado in to each and every single post of mine, no matter where it was. Honestly... No.

Hopefully alot of my posts like that don't exist anymore. Sorry to those that have had to read them, really. Alot of them were utter crap.

I was never really a "n00b" in the sense that I typed all crazy. My typing experience before I joined was pretty much just writing papers. So when I got into the internet and began typing on a forum, capitalization and punctuation came automatically. Sure, there were mistakes with some of that punctuation in respect to commas. But for the most part, my posts have not changed in appearance.

However! I require less attention than I used to. But that happens. It is a little embarrassing to think about old posts that begged for compliments or a response. But most of those aren't around anymore. That's fine.

I've always been fairly good with the grammar, so I don't suppose I was a 'n00b' in the mindless chatspeak spam sense. And as for my old posts ... when I searched myself, when it went back, it only went a month, as I have over 800 posts including H/WG. So I don't really know what I was like. Hopefully I had some sense of maturity. Actually, I might have, considering I did my 'unaviodable forum n00b' time at another forum.
But when I look through old threads I keep a look out for my old posts, just because it amuses me to see what I wrote.

I have to say I used to love reading my old posts. I was a mage master...which is like 2000 something posts before I deleted my account..still an immature n00b, LOL. However, I don't do that anymore. I just don't get on enough, or TFF naturally takes a back seat to me. I think I would rather look forward than behind anyways.

When I get really bored I go back and read my older posts... specifically ones where I was really really high when I posted them. Good times, to be sure. I noticed my oldest posts ceased to be a while ago, as I'm sure all my kindred old fogies posts have as well.

I really do miss some of the old threads we used to have. I often look back at the cleft of dimension. The classic History of FFVII post which was fabulously explained, I miss the talks of intelligent theories of the Final Fantasies, I miss the FFVIII club really bad(I was the club leader for at least on of them and a co-leader of another). I miss talkking about the theories of Time compression.

I actually posted rather n00bishly when I first posted here. I was only 12 years old then and to tell you the truth the forum has been revamped so many times that I doubt that any of my preteen posts are still up. I'm only 17 now that means geez...5 years roughly. Its been a while. I guess I'm kind of considered a TFF vet now though my post count does not reflect on it.

Seeing as how I didn't even break the 100 limit yet, my input is probably non-helpful, but yes I go back and read what I have written, not too long ago. It's amusing to see what was said and sometimes it just reminds me of something I wanted to do, or someone I wanted to off... -blissful smile- Jay-play! But really, it's always amusing to go back and see what you said, in another state of mind and all.
