Time Machine?

Do you think it's possible to build a time machine...like one to actually travel through time with.

I don't think it's possible, it sounds ridiculous to build a time machine. It would be neat to actually have one in existence but its a crazy idea. I don't think it's possible

I don't know... I mean, it sounded ludacris to created long-distance phonecalls, hovering cars and computers, but it's all been done.

Time travel is more intricate purely for the fact that it's messing with time and space, however, who knows? In a thousand years time it may be.

Personally, I'd prefer a machine that could teleport me anywhere I wanted to go.

Alot of the cool gadgets and gizmos we have today are because they were invented for some movie and somebody decided to build it. However I think a time machine would be one of the most complex inventions ever. I do think it's possible and I would like to think that one will be created some day.

I've always had a theory about time travel. If I were to go west and keep traveling around the world, and I manage to circumnavigate the planet two times taking 12 hours each trip, then I should arrive at my original starting point yesterday.

I think it will be possible in the future sometime. That said I believe the invented time machine will be one way in that going backwards or going forwards in time would be two completely different things. I have the feeling that to go back in time would just mean moving faster than the speed of light so you go backwards that way. As for going forwards through time, I figure that would would mean slowing your molecules down somehow or something similar so that you're as you are now in a predetermined future time. Like the freezers used in some movies.

Either way, we're far from being there now as light speed travel is nowhere near impossible, and even if it was we'd also need the safety procedures to stop being ripped apart by the forces involved. Going forwards in time is similar in that though we could be frozen or something, being thawed through any existing method would really screw with our body most likely resulting in death too.

So I believe it's feasible in the future, just not now.

Theoretically, it could well be possible. Practically.... probably not.

It's stupid to say here and now that time travel definately isn't possible. The understanding of science is constantly changing. They thought it impossible that the world could be round... but they were proven wrong

ok i'll get right on that....sounds like an interesting author.

But i think you would have defy pretty much every sort of logic that we know of and defy pretty much physics and science and other stuff

That'll be cool if a time machine was built sometime later on. I would want to travel to some place that I can have relaxation or something. If someone made that, they would make loads of money.
