I would say no you not to young. If you were a single mom a few years younger than i would say yes to young. But because your responsible and 21 and you have a very supportive husband i would say it's fine.

I would say your defiantely old enough!

21 is a good age, kinda keeps you from drinking so much if your preggers!

But defiantely if you want one, your old enough.

I mean at least you waited, people pop em' out at 14!

I would at least wait til' 18, but 21 is a good age.

But the problem is your may be too youn in a way. I.E. You may like to go have fun and party, if you like to do that a lot, you may be too 'young'.

But I dont know, 21 seems a good age!

As Psychosyd said, the answer is determined by you.

But you asked for our opinion.

So no, I don't think you are too young at all. But then, I actually don't believe in age.. So.. Hmm. That kinda says it, doesn't it? I don't think that there are any particular age limits for having children. I was actually going to have a child in my early teens... 13-ish, I think. Not to cause controversy or anything, simply because I felt that I was ready, you know?

As far as age gaps for the person you're having the baby with.. 21-37's nothing, really. The person I was planning to have a child with was literally twice my age at one point.. I turned fourteen and he turned twenty-eight around the same time.

But as said, I don't believe in age.

So settle for this: No, you're not too young.

From what I understand, you are ready to have a child. If you don't regret your little boy (and I don't think that you do), if you're right where you want to be in life, and if you have a way to support your small family then I'd say you're doing better than a lot of people.

In my opinion, the age 21 is still young. In less than a year and a half, I will be 21, and I know for damn sure that I'm am not ready to have a baby. But that's just me. From what I understand, college sort of prolongs your adolescence. People who go to work after high school tend to grow up faster. The rest of us catch up, but for four more years, we get to act like teenagers. I know a few girls who skipped college, went to work, got married, and were having children by 21. And while they're not much older than me, they are still more adult minded than I am.

To sum up, if you're where you want to be, you should be fine. Being ready is more important than age. Best of luck with the baby and husband (and congratulations).

Well, I agree with THAT idea... to BE 21 is to be young, but its good to have families YOUNG... cuz then you enjoy them when you are older more and stuff... and your son can have the popular reputation of "Dude, your mom's hot"... because he will be like 15 and you won't even be 40 yet... heck, he will be in COLLEGE and hear "Dude, your mom's hot" and you won't be 40 yet.

Thats called smart planning...

Its good to be young, and I am for starting families young.

I don't think that is too young either, it seems to be more common these days where young women are giving birth. I remember seeing something on television here one night where a 13 year old over here got pregnant, now that is too young in my opinion because she was still only a child.

I read on some 'Unbelievable Stories' site where a 5 year old had a baby. It sounds insane and I am not sure whether I believe it or not. Apparently she was having her periods since she was three years old. She had some weird disorder or something, don't get me to explain it because it's too difficult lol. They had a picture of the girl and her son and it was plain weird. She treated her kid like a little brother, probably because she didn't understand what had happened.

Now that's too young!

Anyway, 21 is a fine age to have a child in my opinion but it would be too young for me. Everybody is different and when they believe they are ready to have one, they should. It's quite a good idea to have them young so you can enjoy being with them for longer!

Well, yeah, I'd like to get my family started in my 20s, but I thinking something more like late 20s. Both my parents had me kind of late. Dad was 40 when I was born, and he'll be turning 60 this December. And it sucks, because he still has to get me AND my brother through college. I wish he could be retiring right now. Then again, the two of us have kept him young, and there's no telling how different he would be now if we were born earlier. I think he was ready to have us when he did, though. He's been a wise and supportive father, and I owe him for much of my happiness and wellbeing.

I don't want to start as late as my parents, I know that. I want to be able to keep up with my kids for a long time. And I want my kids to be able to meet their grandparents. But I would like to wait until I've started my career, done some traveling, and enjoyed plenty of life not spent as a mother. I look forward to the time in my life when I can be a mommy, but I'm not at that point yet. And I won't be for some time.

Here is the link for the story if you are interested:

http://believe-or-not.blogspot.com/2...five-year.html

This was back in the 1930's I think. The article has even got a picture of the girl pregnant. Whether it is real or not.. I guess it must be. It's just really disturbing and scary to think a girl that age can get pregnant. I think she had some kind of hormone disorder or something.

Haha, I can't help but laugh at the picture of the doctor. Nice glasses.

It's a private decision... If you want a child, and your partner feels the same and you've talked a lot about it, and planned things, then yeah, I think it's okay regardless of most age.

I think having children when you're under eighteen is pretty ****ing stupid because a lot of younger people end up saying "ageism shouldn't be an issue"... those people are wrong... They seem to feel that children aren't hard to look after whatsoever. When in fact, having a child can be one of the most stressing time in the parents' lives.

I think it's sweet you have a little boy, and I'm happy for you. I can see you're sensible enough to handle yourself and your child... I just think a lot of other people aren't the same in this aspect.

So are -you- too young?

Nope.

Are others too young at age twenty-one?

It's a case of maturity, finance and being ready to take on such a big responsibility.

21 gets more and more normal nowadays, so no if you view it like that then it's not too young.
The main thing about the age though is if you're ready for it yourself. A lot of things will change in your life when you become a mother, you have to change certain habits, got many responsibilities etc. It's understandable if you don't want to have that kind of responsibilities at that age. Everybody is ready for that at a different age, some people won't ever be ready for it.

Peace out
