Login Problems

I have been getting some reports of some login problems. I believe I fixed it, but please let me know if you guys are still having problems. I had to disable a few plugins to get the login to work again, so if you guys see anything missing that used to be here, please let me know that, as well.

Lately, I've had a few problems logging in. I would log in, it would thank me for logging in, then when it loaded, I would not be logged in. A remedy I found was to click the 'Remember me' checkbox.

Well, no Piro, the "Remember Me" box is only in reference to future visits.

The problem was that one or two of the plugins were forcing the page to assume it was a new visit every time you ventured elsewhere. You should not HAVE to click the box in order to stay logged in. You should always remain logged in until you close your browser, at which case the cookie expires and logs you out. Clicking the box prevents the cookie from expiring.

You should really quit jumping to those "joking" remarks when you have no idea what you're talking about.

I knew what I was talking about. But I was just saying that usually people should click remember me anyway. Saves the hassle of logging in all the time.

It just took me about 10 tries to log in...

I got to the screen where it says "Thank you for logging in" and then it automatically redirected me to the main page where i needed to login again...

Kept saying Unregistered after I would log in....

Just lettin ya know...

Yea, I've had the problem recently as well. All I had to do {I run I. Explorer 6.0} was click the box that says "remember me" and I'm good *shrug* as long as i get in :-p

what kind of problems are you guys still experiencing?

Does it say you have logged in successfully then just redirect you to a page still logged out? I am not having the problem anymore, so it is hard to isolate, any specific details would help out a lot. sorry for the trouble.

I got the "logged in successfully but then redirected to page still logged out" thing a few days ago. But, just today, I started getting some rather weird ones. I went in to edit the first post of the bleach post, and when I clicked save it told me I was not logged in. All I had done was edit in a name, so it didn't take me any longer then a minute. Then, after I had edited a post (again it only took me a couple minutes) and clicked save (I was still logged in) I clicked on the link to my user CP and it logged me out...again. Both of the occurences took place in the Bleach club thread, but since I don't know much about these kinds of things, I don't know if that means anything.

Xeim, it's not just you, I have a few problems every now and then, like getting to the redirect page just to be sent back to where I was, not logged in, but the biggest problem I see is that the main page is gone, just a blank page. Most members got in to the forum that way, and not many know how to get back in anyother way, or they think the forum is completely down. I think that's why we don't have as much of an influx of people in the last two months.

Do you happen to know when the main page is going to be up?
