9/11 Sixth Year Rememberance

Hey Everyone, well today marks the sixth year of the day the literally changed America forever 9/11/2001. Many innocent people lost their lives on that day, some were cut to short, others had things and people to live for. The horror of that tragic day rocked the frabic of living in America, a day like that must never be repeated again, for our friends, our families, and for the new Generation.




I have not lost anyone dear to me on that day but I can feel for the people who lost their loved ones, if everyone can offer a pray for all those families and for the ones that lost their lives on that day I think that would help ease the hearts of families who lost loved ones. 9/11 will never be forgotten, neither will those who have passed, may they find peace. Hold tight to your loved ones, give them a big hug and show them how much you love them today. What are you doing to reflect on this day of rememberance?

You know what makes me mad is i read something like this in the newspaper. ITs becomeing just something in the past people are trying to forget about it and its something you should not forget. I don't want this to just become and date on a book. We should keep it dear to our hearts. Anyways.... thats all i have to say

I remember. I was camping when it happened, along the Cumberland river in eastern Kentucky. Fishing for trout when the very word had been received. A little old lady in a mechanized wheelchair started screaming that they blew up New York.

I pulled my stringer up and sat my three catches in a cooler to be cleaned later and eaten fireside. She rolled up at me and started gabbing how they were destroying New York and The Pentagon and Then the White House.

True or false, I was a little disturbed at the display. I thought she was out of her tree, to be honest. I nodded, quickly at what she had to say. Pulled out of the cold river and went to my van. Packed everything in and headed back to campsite. Passing the checking station, they asked me if I had heard.

"Heard what?"

"The towers are gone."

My mouth went a little dry. And I told myself that it was some sort of bullshit. I went to the campsite. Cleaned my fish and fried them with some mushrooms and cajun spices in tin foil. Opened it, and started eating. My stomach was nervous and it wasn't going down very well.

I went back to the van. Put the key in and turned the radio on. I couldn't find a radio station that wasn't talking about the attacks. I felt sick and vomited up river trout all over the campsite gravel.

I stayed up all night, listening to the radio and calling everyone I knew with my cell phone. I was terrified.

Six years later. It's still a tender subject. Plenty to say about it, but little enough to do and all is done.

I'm sorry that they ever built the towers to begin with...

I did not lose any family on that day, but it was a tragedy for America. I wish I could say that I feel for the people that lost someone on that day, but I do not know the feeling of losing someone in such a tragic event. As for the day being forgotten, I do agree, and I am very shocked and deeply upset. For such an event to have taken place and changed how so many people lived their lives. The people who lost someone on that day have my deepest sympathy, and I hope that the day, and the people will not be forgotten.

I've lost family to the September 11 attacks. I am just really saddened that in my eyes, nothing has been done to avert something like this happeneing in any meaningful way, six years after the brutal attacks.

It's like those in power are oblivious idiots.

I didnt lose anyone on the actual date, but last Tuesday on the 6th anniversary, my aunt and cousin passed.

And since then, things have just sucked, not only am I mourning the terror attacks but now family also, this week just totally sux!

They never know.

And never do anything to prevent them.

I didn't lose anyone to the 9/11 attacks. I still remember that fateful Tuesday morning like it was today. I was on my way to my girlfriend's house. It was about 8:00 in the morning. All of a sudden a news bulletin interrupted the music on the radio and said the that one of the twin towers got smashed by an airplane. I couldn't believe it. I hurried over to my gf's house, woke her up, and turned on the news. I told her what was happening. Then all of a sudden, while we were both watching the news, a second plane hit the other tower on the live feed. It was then and there that I realized someone had declared war on us. Crazy day, that.

Yeah. I still remember...although not too well though.
Actually, I was the one to report this in class. There were people from the Phillippine National Police who were sent there to ensure protection from a bombing threat by the Al Qaeda. Scary, that.

Although I never knew what happened next.
