beating chaos

okay, i can find nothing on how much it takes to kill him. i am having a heck of a time. think i am getting close and then all of a sudden all of me is dead. what is the key? how many points? any help would be appreciated.

Chaos is easy to beat. His HP is 20,000 and he does'nt have any weaknesses. But he can still be tooken down. In the beginning of the fight, cast any and all protective spells: Protectra, Invisra, and all the Nul- spells you have, namely Nulshock will be good. Some of his attacks are: Blaze, Tidal Wave, Tornado, and Thundaga. Have your Black Wizard cast Saber on your Damage dealing characters as well as Haste to speed up the damage. Have your White wizard cast Healga each time your characters are damaged. Basically is keep attacking him, and have your black wizard cast all its high level damaging spells, as well as keep Saber and Haste on all the fighters, and he should go down in no time.

I let one of my fighters use Giant's gloves in the beginning of the fight too, since the Knight cannot use Blk Mgc like Sabre.

What levels, and what classes are your characters?

Aslong as you have protect rings on all your characters his one hit KO attacks turn into a wasted turn, and if your stuggling have a white wizard healing everyturn.
If you're playing on the GBA version, I'd recomend doing the four added dungeons, as you'll buff your levels and get some mighty fine weaponry.

Here is all I know. This game is totally new to me (did not play on any other system).

I have black and red wizards, warrior (knight) and monk (master). two are level 62 and two are level 63. ? what class i am.

i have protect rings on all. ? four added dungeons. dont' have many Nu-spells.

i have been trying to kill him for a while now and am getting extremely frustrated. think i am getting close to killing him and he cures himself 9999. after that i am pretty much done. not much magic left and at least 2 of my guys are dead.

any additional help would do. have done well for myself, but now i am just totally stuck and have no clue what the heck to do. he, by far, is the hardest boss yet!!!

When I beat Chaos (first time) all my chatracters was at the top level health to the max and on one or two full MP. The best way is to level them up and see how you go from there.

this is my first through so my people were
knight lv 54
nija lv 54
wite wizard lv 55
black wizard lv 54

this is what i did to win seperated it into groups so it was easier to understand

knight/atack/have the highest defense and should have ether sauskes sword or excalibur
constintly attack

nija/healing items/high potions and ethers

white wizard /healing,defence,and attacking magic/nul all,cure3,potera,life,and holy constily cast these

black wizard/flare/constintly cast flare on him and he will fall quickly

have somthing to stop one hit ko's and be ready for him to cast cure3

well, still can't beat this SOB. finally got so ticked off i have quit playing the game. don't know what to do. have tried everything i can think of yet with no results. have tried different strategies, still nothing. think i am getting close and then he cures himself. who knows if i will ever complete this game. never played it on any other game system, just the PSP. guess most people have a leg up on me from playing the other versions on other systems. oh well, maybe one day .....

Hmm, I don't know what you're doing wrong.
All your spells and equipment suggest you should be able to beat him.
As for running out of MP, don't you have ethers, remember you can buy them at the town you get the canoe.
Before you cast damage spells with your Black Wizard get him to haste your Ninja and Knight, maybe also do the optional dungeons for the items, weapons, armour and lots of exp.

don't know if i have ethers or not. will look when i can stand to look at my PSP again. am totally ticked off at the fact that i cannot beat this thing. totally frustrating!!!!! i think it is more like running out of HP and getting killed.

If it makes you feel any better, I can't beat him, either. My main problem the first (and only, so far) time was that I ran out of items to restore MP. Now I'm on my way out, and have discovered, quite easily the hard way, that I have to duke it out with all four Fiends of Chaos again, just to get back! I actually ran into Marilith twice on my way out, but that was only because I accidentally made for the stairs after I took the step away from them.

But I digress. First off, use Temper, not Saber, to buff your characters. Saber will only work on the caster, whereas Temper can be tossed anywhere you choose. Still, when my Black Wizard has Cat Claws and has a fairly high attack of his own, Saber turned into my best friend there. Second, if the Protect Rings are supposed to save you from instant death, why is it that when Chaos used Scourge, it took my Red Wizard and Black Wizard down? Bear in mind, they all have Protect Rings equipped; I checked it after the battle was over. Don't put absolute trust in those rings after all, especially if they do that.

But quite easily my biggest problem was the fact that he used Curaja when I started beating the crap out of him. Now, I'm familiar with Curaja, and so I know that it's a full cure trick. My question is, is there any way to keep him from using it? Or do I have to put up with it and silently curse him under my breath while I beat the living daylights out of him?

You finally beat him, I beat him at like level 60 characters...

I had like A Wizard, Priest, Knight, and a Ninja I think the first time I beat him...

Did the battle take forever or did you get lucky and did he not cast curaja?
