I just read your opening post for the bout, Darkwolf. It is actually better than what I have seen before. Your spelling and grammar are pretty decent and your character's thoughts are portrayed well.

Seeing how your character would evade the traps is something very intriguing. I can't wait to see how Xeim posts her introduction.

Wow... I went to sleep, then work, and I had at least a good full page to read....
Anyways, yes let's get the battle rolling. Itachi, I take it I'm making the first move?? Normally, I would like to introduce my character into the ring first; or rather, have a full post devoted to introductory; however, I suppose I'll land the first blow if you so desire.
Also, I assume it's up to us as to how long our post limit is..? As long as it's between 5 - 10, of course.
Anyways, I'm vouching for a higher number, 8 - 10 maybe. I'll leave it up to Itachi though.

Aerif is the one judging it, so Aerif has to make the setting and the thread (Unless Alexander wants to do it).

I'd do it to quell your hastiness, but I'm not the judge of your match. So you'll just have to wait along with Musicmuse.

If this was a regular casual fight that didn't involve the club, then you're correct, either one of you would have to make the thread, but in the case of the trial for the guild, the judge would have to make the setting.

So.. yeah. Just sit around and wait. There's no time limit, so don't feel pressured.

Personality: Dante is a friendly person, though he usually keeps to himself. He is very articulate and more intelligent than his looks would seem to give off. He has a fierce temper that is difficult to ignite.

Apperance:

Spiritual:Dante stands at an even six feet tall and has a lean body built for speed. The pale figure has short, black hair that cropped on the sides, leaving only the top with about two and half inches of hair that is usually slicked back. Dante has cloudy blue eyes that give off a more serious vibe than he would like. On his left ear, he has a stud in the shape a cross made of obsidian. Dante wears a pair of silver/grey fingerless gloves to represent his rank as a Savateur. He has a rugged looking face with a tight jawline. Like many other Shinigami, Dante sports a black kimono that is usually left open, revealing the white under garment beneath it, and a matching hakama that is held up with a black belt on which his zanpakuto

Gigai: In his gigai form, Dante could be considered as fashionable, sporting a white, full-length trenchcoat that is always left open, revealing the black wifebeater underneath it. He wears a pair of loose fitting white pants that have a two inch wide crimson line spiralling down the left leg.

History: Dante grew up in a rich city, his parents spoiling him right up until the day they died when he was seven. Leaving the large amouts of wealth they had, to Dante's brother Clive who despised him. After his parent's death, Dante went to live with his grandfather who wasn't to fond of Dantes spoiled nature. Dante had been used to waking up at around ten o'clock, leisurely letting a few hours go by as he watched television and enjoying the rest of his day with his rich friends. That all changed after the first morning under his grandfathers care...or rather lack there of. Dante's grandfather would wake him up every morning before the sun rose, and have him working in fields of his farm. Being only seven, and unsed to this drastic change, every morning, Dante would throw a bit of a tantrum. After a while though, Dante began to get used to the hard work and actually started to enjoy it.

For many years, Dante did this; becoming accustomed to working by himself. When Dante turned twelve years old, Dante's grandfather began to train him in the martial art of Karate. Dante enjoyed the training and became very proficient in it. Six years later, a week after Dante turned eighteen, his grandfather passed away. Dante grieved for many weeks as he did his best to keep the farm running. Three months later, the farm was forelcosed upon, leaving Dante with no where to live. Dante had no where else to look, save one person, his brother Clive. Finally gathering up the courage to see him, Dante scraped together all the money he could find and bought a bus ticket. Once he arrived, Dante approached his brother, who, after seeing the change that had occured within Dante, gave him a place to stay. While there, Dante continued his training, modifying the slow art to incorporate less powerful, yet faster techniques. After a while, Clive, who was only five years Dante's senoir, began to train with him. Dante had become quite the fight, his tall frame became quite muscular, allowing him to implement more power with his techniques without losing the speed of the strike. Not only had Dante mastered the art of Karate, he had began training with the traditional Chinese Straight Sword. After two years of vigorous training, he had become amazingly proficient in the art. He had also began to modify this art, incoporating the saya into his techniques.

One night, Dante began to train by himself, doing the usual regiment, when what he thought was a ghost came to him. Taken aback from the appearance of the spirit, Dante could only stand there awstruck. The spirit was of his grandfather. Dante stepped forward and with a bit hope, grabbed his grandfather's shoulder. To Dante's suprise, it was tangible. Dante's grandfather began to speak to him, praising him on his training. Dante continued the conversations with his grandfather daily without his brother finding out. Dante's grandfather advised him to begin spirtual training. Dante took heed of his advice and began to train. Dante still continued his training session with Clive, but they were becoming more and more infrequent. Dante didn't mind, he enjoyed training with his grandfather much more. For two more years, this went on, and Dante had become able to see other spirits, but they were translucent, unlike his grandfather who was completely solid.

Dante and Clive began to train one evening when Dante's grandfather came to him in a panic, explaining that something was chasing him--something called a "Hollow". As soon as grandfather mentioned this, Dante felt the presence of something...evil. All the while, Clive was standing there, watching his brother talk to seemingly talk to himself. Dante, feeling the presence come nearer, made his way outside, Clive and his grandfather following close behind. Once outside, Dante saw the Hollow. It unleashed a hideous sound and came at them. Dante readied himself, but as the beast went to strike, Dante's grandfather pushed Dante out of the way and took the hit, The hollow threw Dante's grandfather into the air and caught him in his mouth. Something clicked in Dante's head, and his temper flared to new levels. Dante rushed towards the Hollow and leapt into the air, unleashing a devastating strike to the creatures mask. The strike created a massive hole in the mask of the hollow, and it stumbled back, dissapating as it fell. One year later, Dante was on his way home from the market when a truck ran a redlight and slammed into him, killing him instantly and sending Dante to the Soul Society.

Fifty years had passed, and Dante had become a Shinigami. He had been chosen his endurance and Hakuna techniques. His Straight Sword skills had increased dramatically and the speed of his Hakuda techinques became nearly unmatched. Relying on his hand to hand skills as well as his sword skills, Dante hoped to join 6th squad, and after a while try to become a member of 5th squad.

Now, as the years pass by, Dante has increased his level of training, including different styles of Martial Arts such as Muay Thai and French Savate. He quickly became proficient in both styles and now incorporates his skills into his current fighting syle of Karate. Focusing on the powerful knee strikes of Muay Thai, and the fierce kicks of Savate, with Karate, Dante has become a deadly force and even more so when he uses Obsidian Silence.

Zanpakuto: Obsidian Silence

Zanpakuto Appearance The Obsidian Silence is a katana. The blade is a translucient black color, and the saya is a light blue color. There is a symbol of honor on the saya on both sides. It is white in color.

Shikai Abilities: When Dante opts to use Shikai Zanpakuto, he becomes able to convert heat, whether it be outside heat such as fire and friction, as well as his own body heat into energy. This allows Dante to increase his speed and strength without worries of draining himself too quickly.

Shikai Appearance: "To deftly strike without hesitation or fear of consequence is the only way to defeat your enemy" With those words, Dante's Zanpak-to changes form, becoming a straight sword, keeping it's translucent color. A barrel style handguard forms, white in color, the symbol of honor in black in the center of it. As for his saya, it becomes a lightweight spiked mace. It's total length coming to three feet, two inches. The spikes extend out from the ball about five inches.


Skills And Abilities:

Reaction Time/Reflexes: Dante has a highly increased reaction time, though it countered by his less than average attack power.

Shunpo: Though intense spiritual training, Dante is able to move at such a speed that is faster than the eye can follow. He is able to go short distances without expending much energy. Dante trains daily to increase the distance and the speed at which he moves. With Shikai active, the strenght of this ability is highly increased, allowing for a faster movement with short distances with nearly no energy expenditure, while long disances are attainable and expends a fair amout of reiatsu.

Shadow-Step: Dante is able to modify a short range shunpo so that it creates a shadow image at the point where he was standing. It is done by slowing the acceleration of the ability, followed by a boost in acceleration, thus allowing his image to be seen for a moment, before fading away. This ability uses more reiatsu than a short range shunpo, but less than a long range shunpo.

Reki-No Han: Dante strikes his foe first with a right-handed blow to the chest, followed almost instantly by a left handed palm strike and quickly ended by a counter clockwise right legged sweep.

Densho-Ki: Dante comes at his foe with a left elbow strike to the face followed by a lightining quick right punch to the chest and ending with a straight kick to the mid-section to knock the opponent back.

No-Ganshi: A set of three ferociously fast left-legged kicks. The first aimed at the back of the foe's knee, quickly followed by a kick to the center of the foe's back and ended with a side kick to the foe's head.

Decadance: Dante comes in with a right-legged straight kick to the mid-section, followed quickly by a vicious set of three punches to the face. The first strike is a left handed straight, followed by a a right handed uppercut and ending with a devasting left hook.

Blazing Strike: Dante unleashes a last resort burst of energy and unloads a fury of fast and vicious punches to his foe's face and body.

Crimson Flash: Dante rushes forward and launches a quick left kick to his foe's face, followed by a right handed straight to the chest and ended with a devastating palm strike to his opponents nose.

Well, I have to say that your profile is pretty spiffy. There's an obvious weak point to your character's style, and I think it's something that I'm going to exploit eventually when I figure out how.

Slim, we shall have our battle trail to 8-10 posts seeing as whenever the judge wishes to end it. Seeing as how you have edited your post , I'll also edit mine it my counter-attack but there is something I wish to ask you about your move. Is the earth you have targeted the bricks of the wall or the ground beneath it? Just something I want to know before I post.
