I didn't really know who the person was, or even if it was a character from anything at all, I just tried to get some pictures that seemed good, although I have a new idea for an anime character to replace that pic, thanks for pointing that out Toph, I'll see if I can find a better pic for that ASAP

I will say, though, that I believe the club is set up so that after we are ranked, members of the club will be reviewing all battles and deciding upon a winner (?). I'd imagine that after these trials this would be an excellent opportunity to provide feedback on a bigger scale than we're currently doing.

DH, I actually missed your edit with the banner, so I apologize. I think it is absolutely gorgeous. If I could, I would make you create one for my own character that depicted her looking so damn fine, haha. My critique, however, is that for a club banner I think having one person as the focal point seems somehow limiting.

I really enjoyed how Xiem's was very interesting to look at, provided the name of the club, but still wasn't overwhelming. Basically, for my own part I'd like to see something like Xiems's as a club banner, and then have DH's style as a personal banner for individual characters.... not that DH has time fior that, but you get the picture.

Darkwolf, my critique for you is similar to DH's. First off, I liked the first one better because the club name was more prominent due to the lighting effects. I also liked the close-up and full-body of the characters because it would allow you to see like a headshot -and- action pose for a character... but again, I think unless it depicts a group of warriors it seems a bit too specialized to be the banner for the entire club.

Yeah, yeah...very true Muscimuse. However, this happens to be my first fight. I'd like to know what people think as I go along. I'm not saying grade every darn post as they're posted,that's not how RPBs work, I'm just saying...give me something to work with. I want to improve, and improving, even just slightly, as my first battle goes along...would be great. I joined this club so I could get critisized from the start, not 360 posts into things. Perhaps I got the message of the club wrong.

However, if I did not, then there should be NO expansion of how much feedback we give. We should supply a steady stream of it all the time so that people can do what they came here to do- improve. Every writer has room to improve. Even published authors do. Heck, I found a few run-on sentences in Harry Potter. But that's besides the point. If we're not helping each other improve, then we're just another guild. Just a bunch of RP/Bers chatting about what fight to do next and getting ranked for it. Which, frankly, is what we are right now.

Thank you for the feedback on the banners however. Though, it would definately be hard to incorperate characters into a landscape....especially since the characters woul have to be drawn by someone.

Xiem, looking at your most recent post, I can say that for at least my critique you improved. I thought that the description of your attack included an excellent addition of personal information about Hisaki and his feelings. I guess that's one of the things I value a lot in a writer -- make me care about your character!!

well I've replaced that picture in the banner, although this is a fighters guild, if you just want a landscape in it, what does that have to do with rpb'ing. Also, I put warriors in my banners, and then that's only appealing to one class, what do you want me to do? put in a picture of gandalf holding his sword and staff? oh but then to appeal to as much classes as possible I'd have to have legolas in there and then there'd be complaints about the fact that people fight with just their hands and feet, unless I put in like 10 freaking pictures, it wouldn't appeal to every class of fighter. then where is the club name going to go? (besides the fact that that many pictures would make the banner look like a jumbled mess, and that there would be no room for any kind of background)

Anyways, I just replaced that pic that Toph mentioned with an anime character pic. Then I need to reply to that rpb again because I screwed up in describing something. plus the fact that comments are rare around here, and half of them are just one or two lines.

Anyways, here is the 3rd banner, with lighting effects, I know there's no mages, or people with bows and arrows, axes, spears, or things like that, but whatever.

Xeim, ha ha, don't take offence if I don't comment yours every time I comment. I only commented Red and Musicmuses simply because theirs is a new fight, I apologise. I'll read yours right now and comment away =], I'll have a more in-depth read of it today I think, though, I dont have much time.

25 min slot on a main stage is making my heart pump, im scared and excited to the point that I feel physically sick when I think of it, check out Burnley Community Festival in teh U.K, Innuendo 69 is my band =].

Hmm, I also apologise for neglecting comments on the banners more. I always forget, theres alot to think about in this club you know =P.
Anyway, the banners are all really good, however, I do like Tophs idea of having a certain banner for each grade individually and I'll choose once I see those.
For now, choose whichever banner you yourself prefer. All of them do what I want, advertise the guild and so I am greatful to all of you for making them.

Off to read the fights and add Akira to our ranks.

EDIT 2: Xeim and Darkwolf, your battle (I admit) intergued me from the moment I heard mention of traps. Your constant weariness of said traps keeps my mind focused, this is no ordinary battle and the fight from a distance is both new and strange to me, I have rarely seen this on other site if ever. I'll look forward to how this pans out.

Red and Musicmuse, you battle has progressed most rapidly of all of them and it seemingly has not taken anything from the skill you have been showing, it has been fairly constant and good quality throughout and again I eagerly await the victor. (Nice usage of the fountain by the way)

Toph Vs Grimm, very interesting indeed. I like the usage of special moves more so in this battle possibly than any of teh others as there seem to be more of them being used in more... hmmm... rational places, it seems to smoothly run from one to the other with fluidity and all of it makes sense within the context.

As for the training battle, I only ask that to cease for the sake of it being held off to make the other fights soak up of your idea's rather than a training match. As I have seen many of you have fought this request of mine I have withdrawn it with the choice of the fighters in mind.

Personally I've commented on the banners already so I have no concern in those matters. My concern is, however, for Itachi. What's going on? I'm bored to shit... I just wanna rip someone a new hole and he goes M.I.A.... Ah well, I guess it's time to play the waiting game.


Sorry for not commenting on your fight Xeim, I've been focusing on Red and Musicmuse's.... BTW, what is their post limit?? The rate their going it's gunna be a freakin' novel; not to say there's anything wrong with that.

Erm, that's kind of like having a guy walk into a cafe and asking for the last cookie on the shelf, and you telling him that he can't have it...but then, as soon as another customer walks in....you hand it to them without making them pay because they immediately picked up four other items from the store. Yes. Ranked banners are good. I can help Toph with that if he'd like. Though, DH, Darkwolf and I spent time on the ones we made. There's no reason to scrap them just because they don't have ranks. If you want to do that, then there was no point in offering my help, and I'm beginning to regret it.

As for Itachi, Slim, you best find some sort of random amusing passime, as he loves to procrastinate. We've been waiting on an RP post from him in "Pulling of Puppet Strings" for almost a month now, maybe longer. He's on almost every day, however, so if you're that worried/bored PM him...IM...something of the sort, and hope he responds.

(Also, I'll be amazed if he doesn't kill me after reading that....)

Roughly 6 years of RPB, of which I've had MANY characters, though I've had my main one steadily progress. I've a caster fondness though lately I've been making my characters more focused on melee. Oh, and I've done a school specifically aimed at teaching magic and the different elements/styles. I desire to aim for the Sapphire Ocean spot, as water has always been my most loved element, and the one I consider myself the most knowledgeable with.

Funny you say that -- my roots were strictly physical and remained such for years... I began to integrate magic after a couple of years, but even then it was only lightly done. As time passed, I found myself more and more inclined to create magical characters; perhaps this was because many of my opponents ran the same?
