Well, to be fair I should've noticed due to the topic title not to mention the topic in the CoA, however in my defense I was just excited about TFF being back up and kinda missed the crucial clues...

I think that the main problem of the recent downtime will probably be boosting the activity on the forums, I don't think that everybody's realised that it's back up and some of the boards don't even have any new posts since July. I know it may be a waste of time but perhaps a little mass-member-email might bring up some activity. Just suggesting

To clear up some confusion... we are still on the old server at ValueWeb. It seems to be stable and not acting up the last few days, maybe they finally worked out all the quirks.

Regardless, I have already purchased a new machine and am in the process of moving TFF bit by bit (gives me a chance to do some needed spring cleaning and updates)... the last part will definitely be the forums. I plan on upgrading to the most recent version VBulletin. I will make sure everything works and tested on the new server before I pull the plug. Hopefully the switch will be quick and transparent. I'm hoping for only an hour for downtime to move the databases.

The new server is nothing but fast. We are moving from a 2.2GHZ to a 3.0GHZ with better ram and more port speed. I'll keep everyone updated, so you'll know when we are officially on the new server.

I am about to send out a mass-email to our registered users telling everyone we are back online and ready for business again.
