Age of Empires 2

So, who here blows the dust off their PC games every once in a while and stumbles on a treasure like AOE2? I just did yesterday and I'm stunned at how I could have forgotten this games sheer epic qualities. Anyway, who here still gives this game a go? If you do, what nationality is your preference?

Personally, I like to play as the Japanese. Their infantry attack speed is faster than most, camps are cheaper to produces so resources are easier to get, plus for naval battles there's not much that can touch them outside of the Vikings.

Well, First of all....I am not a big fan of AOE, But I have to say its a great game.
Also the Japanese are awesome , I agree with you, it is my favorite nationality.

If you want to make a compare between AOE and other strategy games, You find AOE
has the best abilities.

But the problem is I like the modern strategy games such as Generals and Tiberium Wars.
Sorry,It is not my favorite.

I haven't played Age of Empires 2 but I do own the original game. I love it very much and find it to be very entertaining. Not just that but you can learn a lot of things as well. I would love to play other games from the series as well because they have a lot of replay value and you can play them for hours without getting bored.

How many of those games do they have anyway? More than 3? I don't even know! I might have to look it up and check the other games out. I would love to be able to play them!

AOE2 is still probably my favorite stategy game. As far as online play goes warcraft 3 takes the cake, but coquering the world as some of the greatest mideval generals is wicked. As far as race goes I prefer the mongols. Cav archers are my favorite so mongels are the way to go for me. Strike run strike run. That kinda deal.

I love Age of Empires II. It doesn't get old.

I like to play as the Goths, due to the allowance of ten extra troops over the limit. In a game with a low population count, this can really put you over the edge.

Me and my brother were addicted to this game when it first came out. I loved playing it when it was in the MSN Gaming Zone.. and you had ratings. But I tried playing it again recently and it sucked cause there's not a lot of people who play it anymore.
