yeah I played them all and beaten them all except the .hack//G.U. series is any good? It probably is but I just want a little insider on it

I thought that the G.U. series was really good. I personally like it more than the first four games. It has better graphics and an interesting story. I was just wondering if anyone is going to get the last game of the G.U. series when it comes out. I think it is coming out on September 10, but I'm not sure on the date. I just recently beat the second game, and I'm really looking foward to .hack Redemption. (I think that was what it was called). So is anyone going to get it when it comes out?

I've played and beaten Infection, Mutation and Outbreak, and have given up on Quarantine, since I can never get the Virus Cores I need at all the right times. And when I get nearly enough, I have to stop using Data Drain, just so I don't "corrupt" Kite's character (or, game over). It's all a bit frustrating, and the fact that I'm Lvl. 77 only makes it a bit more irritating.

I've played Rebirth of the G.U. series, and didn't think it was so hot. Oh, don't get me wrong, it plays fine, I just didn't care much for it. I haven't had a chance to play the second one in the G.U. series, but I might give .hack a chance to redeem itself.

Yes they are like Spiritslayer said. .hack is actually a multimedia franchise. As of right now the series consists of three anime series, some manga, and seven videogames soon to be eight. All of these are about playing a futuristic Online game. So really you are playing a game about playing a game. I personally think this is a great franchise.

.hack has three main anime series right now. It has .hack//Sign, .hack//Legend of the Twilight and .hack//Roots. It also has some OVAs. .hack//Liminality and .hack//GIFT are probably the major OVAs. The .hack//Liminality actually came with the first four games of .hack which I will get into later.

.hack also has six video games already. The seventh one is coming out on September 10 in the US. The first four games were .hack//Infection, .hack//Mutation, .hack//Outbreak, and .hack//Quarantine. These games are all continuations of each other, so you could say they are one game in four.They also came with the four .hack//Liminality OVAs. (The fourth game also came with the .hack//GIFT OVA.) After these another continuation type game was started. (The G.U. games) Right now the first two of the three games are out. .hack//G.U.//Rebirth and .hack//G.U.//Reminisce. The third game, .hack//G.U.//Redemption, will be released in about a week. I'm really looking foward to it.

I'm am not as familiar with the books and manga of .hack I'm sure you can look online for some more info on them.

Yes getting the virus cores in Quarantine was very very annoying! If you are getting too "corrupt" just defeat some enemies without using Data Drain. Anyway if you are having trouble because of your pretty low level you should try leveling up at like a 82-85 level dungeon. You can really gain levels quickly if you go to a dungeon that is quite a bit higher than your current level, just as long as you can survive. lol I think that you should retry .hack//Quarantine. I thought that the ending was pretty good.

Spoiler: Also you get a bunch of bonus characters at the end like Helba, Orca, and some from .hack//Sign. Helba is awesome. Her stats are maxed out because she is a hacker.

I'm surprised you didn't like .hack//G.U. If you liked the original four the G.U. series should be great. I thought that the G.U. series was actually a great improvement to the first four. The graphics were better and I liked the gameplay better. The only thing that I think might not have been better is the story. The good thing is the the story actually picks up in the second game and gets a lot better in my opinion. I'm not going to say why because then I would just spoil it.

I think that one of the only bad parts about the .hack games are that you have to play them all of the same series and even see some of the other series to actually know what is happening some of the time. I usually play and watch most of them, so it isn't that much of a problem for me. Does anyone else think that this is a major flaw in the series? or do you think that Bandai does this so that everyone will have to buy all of the products to get the most out of them?

I've played and beaten .hack//G.U: Vol. 1 Rebirth, .hack//G.U: Vol. 2 Reminisce, & .hack//G.U: Vol. 3 Redemption. I've haven't played the first .hack series yet.

The first 4 .hack games are the exact same game with slightly different dialogue. Same exact dungeons, same skills, same weapons. I got soooooo bored after I beat the 2nd one that I gave up. I really liked the anime, but it was slow and had zero action. The story was great, which was the only thing that saved it.

I spent hundreds of hours playing the first four .hack games.They were a little to easy for me, so that gave me some disappointment.In my opinion, G.U. I liked better.It was more challenging than the first four .hack games.But, if you don't play the first four in order, you'll get confused big time.

I still only have.hack//Infection... I was wondering how long does it take to reach the max level and waht IS the max level for that matter? Plus I was wondering, does the max level of the fields increase throughout the four games? Oh by the way..I got the Item: Imp Badge...I was wndering what is for or does it even do anything at all?

No that isn't off topic at all. Actually it is really hard to get to the max level in the first game. I think it is really 99. I've never gotten that high, but I would presume that you would be able to get that high. You would only get 1 exp per monster so it would take a really really long time to get that high.

Yes the levels of the fields do increase throughout the games. I think that the levels get to 30 in the first game, 50 in the second, 70 in the third, and 99 in the third. I'm not positive, but that sounds about right.

As for the Imp Badge, I think that if you have the Imp Badge and have all the Goblin Armor equipped, you can summon a Goblin, or use some sort of Goblin magic. I hope this helps you.
