~ This Feeling Inside ~

Take a second and listen to the words I recite
For I have experienced something that sent me in to flight
My mind was dazzled and I was at full strength
But this state of ecstasy was only of short length

What can I say; I don’t want to let it go
But it’s not my choice to make; it seems I have to grow
Now I’m back in the desert, the desert filled with sand
I’m searching for wisdom, but I’m left with just some grains in my hand

I want its full entity back, because this here is a hard task
The answers are within me, so I shouldn’t even bother to ask
I want this warm feeling back, this feeling inside
Now I’m confronted with myself, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide

I know I should have no fear, I know I must have faith
For this feeling I cherish has been ever so great
Yet, if I should lose it, may it be for the best
But I hope to retrieve it soon, until then I shall not rest

Who am I kidding, there’s nothing I can do
Yet I can’t ignore my instincts, for I know they’re not untrue
I feel so helpless, as I’m being swept away by this tide
I’m amazed by this feeling I have, this feeling deep inside…
