~ The Hero ~

It is I, the one you all call hero
The one who makes you all wait in row
Inspiration is what you all so eagerly seek
For this hero, for once, isn’t Roman nor Greek

You all are amazed by his shining bravery
As if he had freed you all from centuries of slavery
Afraid to follow in his tracks, if you had to be honest
For you can’t possibly imagine yourself to be so modest

From time to time, you all act as he would so
He passes on his virtues as time would flow
Now you have all witnessed what he can achieve
He showed you all things that you could never believe

He saves the one in need and supports the sad
He helps the people to think and makes them feel glad
He discovers sides of people they thought they never had
He frees the folk of the many lies in which they clad

This hero is common and known to help the weak
So today I hope to find the hero that for so long I seek
And yet again, as I see all that this hero has done and can
I realise that this great hero is nothing more but man…
