Which character did you use, Eiko, Garnet/Dagger, both or none? I mainly used both of them I thought that they were both really good. I liked both of their summons and their white magic was really helpful. At first I was only going to use one, but I couldn't decide so I just ended up using them both. Overall I thought that they were really useful in their own way. Eiko was really good with white magic and I used Dagger to summon. So which did you use and why?

Well, since I almost always have Vivi, that only leaves room for two. Steiner usually goes with Vivi for the sword magic abilities, and I did make sure I had at least one summoner. The problem is: which one do I take with me?
On one hand, Dagger has the ability to summon Bahamut, a dragon (one of my favorite animals and summons). On the other hand, Eiko had Fenrir, a wolf (my other favorite animal). Over all, though, I usually picked Dagger. Ark just gives her the push .
Whenever I'd take Vivi and Steiner out, I'd usually replace them with Eiko and Freya, though.

I have them both on my team, usually. I'm a really big magic person. I end up using Eiko more, though, because she has better white magic and I use Madeen all the time. I use Dagger only for Bahamut or a back up healer. Vivi does most of the damage and Zidane...he just sits there. Hehe

You know, I used both of them from time to time. Even though Dagger and Eiko are both summoners and white mages, they each are different. Eiko is the better white mage while Garnet is the better summoner. Garnet's eidolons are offensive mainly. Eiko's eidolons are used mainly on defense exclusing Phoenix, Madeen, and Fenrir.

However, I would have to go with Dagger. I used her more then I used Eiko and she seemed to be more beneficial to my team then Eiko was.

I use Garnet...dont know Y...he has healing spells...and she has the summons.

I used Dagger, overall better Character, but Eiko did have better white magic....iirc

It's been a while since i've palyed this game but i remember using Garnet more since she is more useful than Eiko.

I think they are both equal in usefulness in battle. Eiko is a better White Mage she can use magic that raises your attack, and she can use the Holy attack spell as well(which is equal to Flares power) But Garnet/Dagger/Sarah/ is a better summon she can use ark if you have 2 Pumices it will do 9999 all the time, also odin is bad ass because if Sarah knows the Odins Sword ability if he fails to do instant death he will do damage and if you have enough Dark Matters it will do either Instant Death or Max Damage. But overall I prefer Sarah.

As soon as Eiko came into the game, I used her in place of Garnet. Garnet has many summons, and she also has the Ark summon, but Eiko is a better healer, plus she has two useful summons: Carbuncle and Pheonix. And, considering FFIX where summons do like no damage (lol), I would go with Eiko all the way.

To me it has to be Garnet since I use her alot more than Eiko. Yes Ekio probably has the better white magic but Garnet helped me to complete the game first time round.

Between Garnet and Eiko I used Garnet a lot more in the game than Eiko because by the time I got Eiko as a cast member Garnet's level was already pretty high and also Garnet had a special ablity to gain double EXP.

I usually prefer Eiko, mostly because summons are overrated in FFIX. They seem tobe able to destroy entire cities in a single, swfit attack, but they do minor damage to small foes. Her white magic was a huge help during long battles, I always have a healer in my party.

I have always prefered to use Dagger. She was powerful with the summons and good for healing so I mostly ignored Eiko and used her when I had other choice. The only time that I had a hard time with her was when she lost her voice, she had a chance of botching her spells.

I hardly ever used Eiko. She was pretty useless considering I had Garnet to use for summons and healing. On top of that, Eiko was a little brat and I just couldn't stand how she had a crush on Zidane.

Garnet. Eiko came off as a bit of a brat.

Eiko was annoying and couldn't stand her. I loathe the part of the game where you have to help her prepare food for Zadine and when Garnet/Dagger disappears from the party for awhile and you have to use the brat. I usually used Zadine, Vivi, Steiner and Garnet. I tend to lean towards brunettes and Garnet was closer to my ago so...the choice was easy.

I got away with using neither.

Once i got Doomsday, i equipped everyone with Shadow Absorb armour.

Zidane, Vivi, Freya, Amarant owned.

I tended to use one or the other as if you use both of them together you tend to end up a little weak defensively, also you get through MP ever so quickly, my ether's tended to run low expecially with vivi in the party as well though he wasn't as bad
