Yesterday i got this GB game called Mystic Quest. It's dated back to 1991-1993 & as it seems it is made by Square. I played a saved file & i saw chocobos, a Red Mage & other stuff related to the early FFs. Does anoyne know what it is about? Is it some attempt of a FF game? Because it's made like a merging of Final Fantasy & Zelda, not the classic FF style. (crappy controls, moving around lost, but i can't take my hands of the GB ) EDIT: in the thread title, it says "Mysrtic Quest". 433 | It is supposed to be part of the Final Fantasy franchise. I think Squaresoft released Mystic Quest in the US instead of FFIII because they deemed FFIII would be too challenging or unappealing to Americans. I cannot remember whether that is correct or anymore details on the matter. | ||||||||

5,748   | The one you're talking about is probably a EU version of an FF Legend game or a hack of one. The regular Mystic Quest was a Beginner's RPG with very simple gameplay, almost as if it were made for children. Simple or not, it was still a good game and had easily the best music of any SNES game ever, at least IMO.
