Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Trailer

For those that might not know, we have been waiting for a Pirates 3 trailer for months now. It was promised back in Thanksgiving and never made it. But now finally, only like two months away from theatrical release the first offical trailer for Pirate 3 is being shown.

It was already shown on Dancing with the Stars, but I did not bother with it. But in less a hours or midnight, the trailer will be put out online offically. It was apparently on youtube, but Disney was being very pro-active and already had them remove it.

So if you want visit yahoo or Disney to see the trailer.

In addition, who's excited for the movie, coming out in May this time rather than July?

They were showing a small clip of the movie on E! as well. I was for a few seconds though but the movie looks really good I must say. Plus, my sister and mom is a big Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp fan so we're probably gonna go as a family and see it when it comes out. There's a lot of good movies coming out in May I've noticed. Definitely one of the best times of this year.

Wow, that looks awesome. I can't wait for it to come out, definitely going to see it in the theater. Maybe not on opening night, but probably within the first week or so of release.

I don't think anyone's going to be able to make another movie about pirates after this. XD

I thought they were making POTC 4 and 5? That's what I've been hearing anyway!

I saw the trailer for this on television the other night and it looks intense. I am really looking forward to seeing it in the cinemas. Not very long to wait now! I will probably go and see it within the first couple of weeks of the opening. It does look very awesome and at least we all know Jack is alive and well. We could have guessed he would have been anyway.

Looks like a lot of fun!

I loved the first move with the second trailing behind not too far, but strangely this movie does not motivate me into seeing it. It looks cool, there's no doubt, but it just have the same feel the first two had. Maybe it'll take awhile for me to actually want to go see it when it comes out, lol.

Well, only 13 days until it comes to theaters now. I don't know about you guys but I'm taking the day off from work specifically for this movie, and I don't remember ever doing that before. Of course, I wouldn't have thought to do so but my best friend reminded me, cause we're gonna go see it together on opening day.

I'm looking forward to it as well, it looks totally awesome. Not very long to go now. I probably won't see it in the first week because the cinemas might be packed. We usually wait until the second week to see movies. I have seen the preview on television a few times and have to say that it looks great. Isn't Keith Richards supposed to be in this movie as well? What a scary thought, I hope he's not going to be snorting other people's ashes. O.o

Can't wait!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing it, too. I'll probably go see it at the cinema with mum. She loves Pirates, too.

I've also heard that this one's alot darker, after seeing an interview with a few of the actors and one of the writers. Just the general theme is apparently heavier and darker. It'll be interesting to see how true that is.

And yeah, I heard that Keith Richards is in it, too. That will certainly be.. Err.. Interesting.

In the interview they also said that although this is the end of a trilogy, they wouldn't completely rule out doing a seperate, fourth loose POTC movie, or even another trilogy. Which excites me ^^

But yeah, looking forward to it. Definitely.

It was a good idea to finish both 2 and 3 of Pirates. cause now we didn't half to wait so long for 3 to come out. 3 looks likes it goanna be frikin awesome. I wonder if it's goanna make more than Spiderman 3? Should be intersting to find out. I also heard that there going to make a 4 also of Pirates.

Well, I just got back from the theater, and I will say that I absolutely loved it despite its shortcomings, particularly near the end where it got rather messy.

Spoiler:

Norrington's death, for example. Contrived plot device to remove him as a rival for Elizabeth's attention, I'm sure. Personally I would have preferred to see him live even though I didn't particularly like him; it just seemed more logical to me.

For being so important, the "haunted shores at world's end" felt lacking. There was no sense of the otherwordly place I'd envisioned in my mind, but that may be my fault and not the director's lol. I will say that the way back was brilliantly devised in its simplicity.

The whole Tia Dalma = Calypso thing was way too easy to figure out. I also think they revealed it too early.

Elizabeth = pirate king? I'm sorry but no. Just no.

The death of the Kraken didn't make any sense. Why kill it when they could have used it to attack the other pirate ships? Another illogical device to remove an obstacle from the path of resolution.

The resolution itself was odd, particularly the way everything wrapped up so perfectly despite the messy situation. I think this is probably because of the aforementioned removal of anything that may have been potential conflict after the final battle.

Jack's dad is creepy.

But that said, I enjoyed it a lot and would definitely see it again in the theater if the opportunity presents itself. I was particularly surprised with how much I like Barbossa in this one. I suppose that's cause we get to see him as Barbossa the pirate, not Barbossa the condemned undead captain of a damned crew, lol.

I can honestly say I am happy they brought Captain Barbosa back. Geoffery Rush is such a good actor; Barbosa also adds on to the humor like Jack Sparrow. Hell I named my cat after Jack Sparrow xD

So of course I am going to go see it. My friends already saw it and they say it's great.
