Cookies or Scones?

I honestly like cookies better because I've never actually had tea time with all of the cake and junk before, however it sounds delightful.

Well to be honest with you, I love em both! But Ms. Fields Triple Choclate cookie dipped in white choclate is just.. orgasmic

I like both of them as well. I eat cookies more then I eat scones though. I usually eat scones sometimes whenever I go to Starbucks. I like eating the blueberry scone a lot for some reason. Its really scrumptious not to mention.

As for cookies, I like Ms. Fields cookies as well. They're really delicious. I like eating chocolate chip though. Especially if its all chunky and chewy, it tastes so good. I also like eating peanut butter, oatmeal, and sugar cookies as well.

What the hell is a scone? A Snow-Cone? Or is that one of those "not in Canada" words?

If it's the former, then not cookies, because those have eggs in them. If the latter, definately cookies, because they come to my country.

A scone is a buttery english cookie commonly consumed during teatime.

Definatly cookies for me, though I normally call them biscuits since i'm a brit I love baking ones with big bits of broken up dark chocolate and fudge, the dough having some golden syrup in it... my cookies are orgasmic! The local bakery do lovely ones too. As for mass-produced ones, Maryland double choc chip are nice.

I'm not a fan of scones, though plain ones are ok... nothing to amazing though. I'm not a jam fan. Oh, and Jin, a scone is a kind of savoury muffin-esque cake but less fluffy and kind of like bread, but different. They're hard to describe, but theyre normally eaten with jam. Hmm... maybe look it up on wiki...

After seeing a picture...cookies. Definately cookies. Those former snow cones look nasty. Like if the Voyageurs had decided they wanted a blood clot while exploring the new world they'd make that instead of banock. Ick.

Whatever, I just like the idea of scones because they are foreign and different and I am really into foreign foods. Too bad I haven't tried one yet.

Sorry, I'm not a real big fan on cookies. Scones are definitely my favourite out of those. I love them, they are very tasty and easy to make. I don't make them a lot but I do enjoy them whenever I make them. They taste even better with butter on them. Some people have jam but butter all the way for me.

Cookies are nothing special to me, they're not that great. I rarely have them, as a kid I liked them but no thanks. My parents like pumpkin scones and date scones, I only like the plain ones. They are very delicious.

Scones win, but not scones as you probably know them.

Tattie scones, people. Scotland's best kept culinary secret. They completely floor both regular sweet scones, cheese scones, and all kinds of cookies. I'm not really a fan of cookies; they're rubbish for dipping in tea, so they fail to fulfill the Basic Biscuit Criteria.

Find tattie (or potato, to give them their 'proper' name) and eat them, lightly toasted, with a little bit of butter. Preferably on a roll with a slice of square sausage, with either red sauce or a fried egg.

Oh man, I'm really hungry now. No tattie scones, square sausage, eggs or rolls in the house. Sad days, sad, sad days.

I'm with you on that one dude. I'm british and i've never heard of a scone. Still i probaly wouldn't try it anyway. Now with that out of the way, it is clear that my vote goes for the cookie. So many diiferent types, so little time to consume them all before my family gets there hands on them. I don't have cookies with my tea though. Tea is best with a breakfast as soon as i wake up or while wondering round town, freezing to death.

Okay so my problem is that in the U.S.A. scones are like deep fat fried doughy goodness. However if they are different other places then I would go with something else like waffles. Can I vote for american greasy scones or waffles? If so then I wnat some of that! Oh yeah.

That doesn't sound like the scone I know... [I'm Aussie]. Maybe it's different for other Aussies.. But the way I know scones, they're definitely not deep-fried. My mum makes them every now and then, and they're kinda like: Butter, Flour, Water and egg mixed together all fluffy-like and then baked in the oven so they can rise and be eaten.

I chose the 'both' option. I don't have scones very often, but when I do I love them. On the other hand, you can't really beat a decent chocolate cookie. But of course, then you have to spend all that time searching for the elusive perfect cookie >.>

Anyway, both.
