Carin, a passionate Kingdom, its flowers bloom trough spring and perish trough the Autumn winds, where the leaves make the montainside glow with a red aura. A romantic town of the peacful nation. The soldiers left that autumn day, heading to the west, led by Caije: The peacekeeper. Most trusted man of the west. Or at least he was called that once upon a time. Trough the harsh painful north wind he headed forward, on the back of his horse he kept that image with him. It was quiet, the sound of horses feet made a small noise. A blade was held by his side for his own protection. He could smell the fear of his own men who awaited his orders. He wasn't sure they would follow his orders anymore, trough the sea of his own bitterness he turned his head back at the Kingdom for one last time. This would be the last time he saw it, he had friends down there, but he was Banished now. Banished for doing what was right. Though there was no peace in the Kingdom anymore, he sat on his horse as a tear had fallen down on his cheek. "General, Let us move on...." A soldier had told him. He said no more words, only led on as they approached the border line. He thought to himself, "The King sure has changed" Hours past and it was nightfall. A camp had been set up beside a large slow moving river. They sat there all in silence amongst the wind, the brave General they had fought rampages of monsters had been torn. He was no longer Brave, only sad. Amongst the river he could only feel his lonliness. "General! General! Where is the General!?" A soldier shouted. He paniced amongst the men and fell on one spot under the pressure. Soldiers gathered around and led the man to the General. "What is it!?" He stood upon his feet and approached the worn out soldier. "Master Caije, Lord Kani approaches our camp, he brings the army of Dark Knights, and I heard...." He paused. "Heard!? Heard what!?" Caije asked impatiently. "I heard the War chant, there coming here, to kill The paladins of Carin!" The soldier wept out. Caije picked up his sword which still held by his waste and looked at the soldiers. "Prepare for battle." The dark knights chant could be heard. Caije stood , not letting fear take him. The other men had given up, they had already said this would be there last battle. The Dark knights let out there final chant before charging at the Paladins camp. Caije lifted up his sword and parryed the oncoming slaughter. The Dark knights had the advantage. Archers had fired upon the paladins. Many fell from there thick steel arrows which tore trough there armour. Caije battled for what felt like hours, taking down one man after another . Suddenly he felt a surge of pain in his spine. He dropped to his knees. He felt his back and could feel the end of a shaft sticking out of him. He stood again. He drew his sword into a Dark Knights torso. He then retreated back to the river's side. He felt another arrow into his torso and fell back wards into the river. Where he was carried off into the night. Last edited by Caije; 01-14-2007 at 01:28 PM..

Inventory | Averaine sat up on the thick branch scratching the back of his head. He did not mind the constant insects crawling over his chest as he rested, nor the rather loud singing of the birds on the branches neighboring him. As the days went by, he noticed more and more men riding and passing his area. He soon started to get feel tired and got chronic headaches. What is this sickness these men have brought upon me? Averaine thought to himself. He also noticed that by every passing day, darkness approached the nearby kingdom of Carin. This troubled him greatly. He had been living alone for almost five years now. Maybe it is time for me to act. Should I always be here in these woods till the end of my days? He wanted to help, but he did not know when or how he should. Some time during the hour of the evening, he saw that a group of Paladins were starting camp by his tree. Hmm? The Paladins of Carin? They unpacked and rested in the area. They have weapons, but they won't be much of a threat if they do not find me. While he began his sleep, Averaine was awoken by the men that had camped at his place. If he listened carfully, he heard the war Chants of the Dark Knights. He could never forget it. The Knights were his enemies now, but he would not fight them unless they found him. Very soon, the two groups began to charge at eachother and started the battle. "A battle between the Dark Knights and Paladins?....But why must it be at my resting place?" Suddenly an arrow shot at a branch next to his right hand as he began to retreat. "Looks like they have already spotted me. I guess I have no choice. Its been a while but..." He drew out his bow and pulled out an arrow. Aiming at a Dark Knight's neck, he fired. He continued this tactic until an arrow shot him down. Falling of the tree, he tried to shoot once more, but his fragile wooden bow and arrow were smashed by a Knight's Shield. Averaine drew his red blade and sliced at the Dark Knight's armour. Though it did not peirce it and he dashed to the side where he sliced off a Dark Knight's head. Pulling out the arrow that had shot him, he threw it at an enemy's face. Averaine sliced through the Dark Knights, but there were too many. He was soon stabbed by a Sword through his ribs. Slicing off the hand that had attacked him, he climbed back onto a tree and caught his breath. Looking to the side by the river next to him, he saw a Paladin being shot by an arrow. The man was hit once more and he fell into the river. Without thinking he jumped down to the wounded Paladin into the shockingly cold river and helped the man. But the force of the river was too much for him and the Paladin's armour was too heavy. He held onto the shoulder pad of the Paladin and let the river carry him. The temperature of the running water was extremely icy and his fingers soon became numb. Averaine quickly spotted the northern shore and pushed to it. Finally on land, and he made a fire to warm himself as the Paladin lay onto a tree. Last edited by Omega OwA; 01-14-2007 at 05:56 PM..

Inventory | The wind howled outside, and a chill caressed the man's face. He bore the expression of a an who was tired and bored of everything. He blinked lazily as another man read a scroll, and finally silence fell. "Are you even listening?" He threw the scroll onto the table and sat down. "I'm trying to tell you why you can't simply kill him, and here you are not even paying the slightest amount of attention!" "To be honest I don't even care. I was hired, I have a job, and I have my target. Thats it. What could possibly prevent this?" He said in a nonchallant tone. He scratched his chin and took a seat by the window. Looking outside he could see the trees and the moon. "He hasn't told me where he hid the...artifact. I need the location first!" "Look, Husdine, you never said anything about retrieving information, all you said was that he was to die, no failure. Thas my job, thats what I do. You're gonna have to get the location now, because he isn't staying in town for long. In fact niether am I, and if you call it off now, you still owe me half." "What? You can't be serrious! I hired your services, and you will do it." "Fine, just as long as you understand that I'm leaving in three hours, in which these events are to happen as follows or else. One, you get the location, two, I kill Juklan, and three you pay me, and I leave. Got it?" "Yes. But don't expect me to be generous!" Huddine looked towards one of his men and nodded. The man left and Husdine rose to his feet. I ust leave now, and attend the meeting." "Whatever." "Oh, and before you leave tonight, what is your name?" "That was a rather personal question. I have none." He looked at the tree, and this ime he loked upset. After he left, he walked through the town towards a large mansion. It was not a great deal bigger than any other house, except it was taller and wider. He walked up to the front door, but was stopped by two armed guards. "Excuse me, sir, but Lord Juklin is currently in the middle of an important meeing. What is your business?" He smiled devilishly as he pulled out his large black blade. "I have come to kill him!" He swung once, and cut both guards in half. He chopped down the door, and entered. Two more guards came, but they were thrown aside by the massive sword. Then there was a man standing before him. "Tare Kitashin. I never thought I'd see you again." The man was old, but strong, and Tare was stunned. "You! I...master!" He knelt down, and bowed. "No need. You are not my pupil anymore. I am honored to see you are still as strong as you once were." He drew an equally large sword and slowly advnced. "Now lets see how much you remember." Tare quickly parried several slow series of strokes and repelled the old man with a simple strike. "I remember all that you have taught me. So now if you'll excuse me I must finish my job." "Oh, I don't think so. I had a change in heart. If you cannot tell me your name, then I cannot trust you. Juklin has made me an offer, and I couldn't help myself. You're the job now. Master Kitashin, kill Tare! I can now sleep easy knowing you're dead. I was afraid you'd be Tare. I feared your eyes. Unnatural. Glowing green." Tare was surprised at the turn of events. He was the target, not assassin, and his own master was to kill him. Only one thing occured to him now, kill all. He glared at the group of men. Even his old master was set against him. He charged, and this time, he wasn't holding back. Tare slashed hi master twice, and cleaved his arm clean off. "I'm sorry master, but, I am releiving you of this world. I do it out of respect." He then impaled his teacher, and looked to the others. "You made me betray my master, my teacher, my father!" He kiled them all. Slowly, and painfully. He tortured them for an hour before he decided they were ready for death. He left the mansion, bloody, and empty handed, except for his master's sword. He found an open field where he stbbed the blade into the ground and knelt before it. "I release your spirit into the wind, may you find your peace. Forgive me. I have betrayed you, betayed myself. I will never rest until I have unleashed my anger upon the earth. All those I meet who deserve death will die, and I will leave a mark of my anger, so that the world will know ?I am here still. A green rose. Emerald of death. Farewell, father."

Inventory | Hours passed trough the night. Caije lay on a low slumped tree where he awoketo see the darkness of night. He felt for his wounds and found he had been healed from the arrow injuries, there were scars but they had been healed. He sat up and managed to move his feet. His armour had been laying on the ground below him. There was a small fire, almost gone out as somone sat at it, he stared at Caije as Caije made his way down the tree. "Who are you?" Caije asked him. "The Land grows darker,....as you may see it is still night at 10 am in the morning, the sun never shines, More monsters coming, Carins econmy collapsing as the Sickness grows, What is Caije the peacekeeper going to do about it...." The man had said. "Who are you?" Caije asked patiently again. "We must be moving, we need to get you out of this Kingdom...." The man said getting up. "What!? why!?" Caije asked. "The Dark Knights, Swarm your lands freely, no one seems to be taking them down, why? Could it be that your king wanted you dead." "No way! No! His Majesty is honourable, he would never sentence me to death!" Caije frowned. Who was he to say these things, the king was acting fairly strange since the Prince went missing. "Your King, your home, is doomed, The Dark Knights need to recover your body, they find out your alive they will kill you and me..." The Man said moving on along the river bank. "Where are we going?" Caije asked him. "Veceda, Coastal village," The Man replied. "Yeah, but...who are you... why did you heal me?" Caije wondered following the man as he picked up his sword.

Inventory | The day had been long for Vincent and the night was proving difficult as well. Stilling on a horse all day looking for a town, village or farm at least is not very comfortable. But still he had to carry on. He had his quest and he'd fulfill it no matter what. With that though, he stroke his blade as if calming it. Not many people had seen his blade and lived. Many died at the hands of the mant techniques he used. Only the masters he had served under knew his true potentional. His thoughts were solely focused on the task a head but in the mean time he had been running through past attacks and defences in his head. He remembered them all perfectly, flawlessly. It was the only thing he was good at remmebering, the ways to kill people in quick and effective ways. He never saved time to show off. Thats a risk in battle which he never took. Just as he was giving up hope of finding anything in the wilderness, he saw a figure in the distance. He approached it and saw it was a man kneeling in the ground with his sword in hand. He carried on closer none the less. Riding up next to the man he asked in his deep, emotionless voice: "Why are you out here?"

Inventory | "All your questions will be answered. But we cannot stay here long. The King seems to have already sent many spies, and the Dark Knights will reach these shores soon. Now, let us go." Caije and Averaine fled through the forest. They reached area after area, but did not slow. They soon made near off the area of Carin and slowed, for they were far from danger now, or so they thought. Averaine led the path, not looking back. Though he could feel that Caije did not fully trust him. He did not mind though. Would he not trust a man who suddenly takes you away from your home, with no questions answered? Crossing over jagged hills, they soon made it almost close to the Veceda Borders. Averaine was glad to have made it this far with no current problems. But as soon as he left his guard, an arrow was shot behind them. Luckily it was knocked off the Caije's armour. The two drew their weapons. Out came a group of readied Dark Knights who rode their horses swiftly, throwing their spears and fearfull lances. Caije and Averaine were only able to knock down one or two until the Knights cornered them into a circle. "Heh, we've got them chief." said one of the Dark Knights. Behind them came a heavily armoured Knight with gracefull weapons and clothing. 'The Head Knight? I should not have let my guard down. Now I've led this Peacekeeper to danger...' "You are outnumbered. There is no way out. Come with us." "No, were not going anywhere.....Right?" Caije looked at Averaine. "Very well. We will make this quick." The Dark Knights raised their weapons and got ready to attack. "Black Arts.....Night falls and darkness widens, the wind flows north and the sun rises..." From Averain's finger tips, black energy began to form and it encircled his body. "OBLITERATE, DECITEGRATE, RELINQUISH." The energy blasted away and the Dark Knight's expressions were wreaking. The attack surrounded the entire group of Dark Knights and soon they turned to a pile ash. "We must....continue...They are still on our path...." Averaine suddenly fell. He tried getting up, but his attack was still too much for him. "Caije the Peacekeeper, I still have but little strength left. Carry me and go past the Borders. Then turn East and move forward. There you will find the Village of Veceda....Hurry, the enemy is still on our path..."

Inventory | He couldnt believe his own eyes. Ash's were all that was left of the enemy. Not even armour was there. Fascinated of the mans power and a little frightened he turned to him. "Caije the Peacekeeper, I still have but little strength left. Carry me and go past the Borders. Then turn East and move forward. There you will find the Village of Veceda....Hurry, the enemy is still on our path..." "You had to burn the Stupid horses, would of made things easier," Caije said as he put the man on his shoulder. The man was heavy, Caije was wounded enough without taking back problems but the mysterious man had healed him. The Least Caije could do is help the man to the nearest Inn. His feet dragged him quickly trough the forest which was still shrouded in darkness. He could feel the presensce of darkness getting near. Paladins had it come easy. He could feel life anywhere. As long as his feelings hadnt got in the way. The mans breathing got heavier. Words weren't spoken to eachother, what was there to say, they hardly knew eachother. "So... What the hell was that back there, you melted like....so many soldiers...." "...." The Man kept silence. "Yeah, you dont answer questions, you only ramble on about the King," Caije stammered as he began to head uphill. "...." "You ok,...?" Caije asked him. "Yes, you bore me," The man said exhaling a long gasp of air. "You better not be checking out my ass back there...." Caije laughed as he got to the end of the hill. "Believe me, not much to look at...." He saw the border. He carried the man on his shoulder trough it. It had been burnt out and the banner of the dark Knights stood upon it. "They walk in freely.....," Caije sighed. He wlaked torugh the gates holding his nose and followed the path East. It started to get brighter. Brighter, it was sunny now, the sky was clear aswell and the sea was in sight. A suburban village was in sight. The largest building was a windmill, and a large dock could be seen as a ferry pulled in. "So where now?" Caije asked. He was worn out. "....inn" The man gasped. "Read my mind..."

Inventory | Caije put down Averaine and they entered the inn. "Should we get separate rooms?" "I don't think I'll be needing one." As Caije entered his room, Averaine jumped out and climbed onto the wide roof of the inn with his last remaining strength. The recurring breezes were refreshing and the moon shone bright. Keeping watch for any enemies in sight, he soon rested upon the inn. Averaine was awoken by the clattering of armour and the sounds of walking feet. Lifting himself up, he got onto the tip and examined around. "Not already..." Averaine blasted down into Caije's room where he was sleeping. Averaine quickly picked him up along with his belongings and took off. "What the-" "The Spies of the King have reached the village. We must flee before they catch us." "We just can't get a moments peace, can we..." The two went off into the tip of Veceda where the boats lay on near the peir. "We will have to leave this country if we wish to be safe. Hurry, help me get this boat going." Caije slashed at the thick rope that hung to the ship adn cut it loose. Jumping on with Averaine, the two released the sail and they were carried off with teh wind into the ocean. On the shores of Veceda could be seen the Dar Knights turning away. The two looked back as the ship carried them. "We will be back again one day." Averaine said. "I guess your still wondering. My names Averaine. As for why I'am helping you, I not quite sure myself. There is food in down in the basement of the ship f you want any. Rest, this will be a long journey..."

Inventory | Tare turned and saw the stranger. Without a word he stood and rested his sword on his shoulder. "I have burried several men, and I came out here to lay my teacher, my father, to rest." His tone was tense, but distant. He appeared as he normally would, uninterested and bored. He looked upon the grave, marked by his master's blade. He pulled a green flower from his cloak and rest it against the sword. "What today has brought me, I cannot give back, and with that I ask you, what concern of yours has brought you to this meadow of gloom?" Tare didn't wait for an instant response, but he looked the man in the face, revealing his luminescent emerald eyes. He niether spoke, nor listened, merely survey. He was finished after a moment, and asked the man again. "What is it that you came here for? I have said my reason, now in turn I must learn yours."

Inventory | Kadence stirred from her dark slumber as she felt the ground sway beneath her. Her eyes fluttered open revealing a pair of inquisitive yet fatigued emerald orbs.Sizzling acids lurched from her stomach and almost escaping her mouth but she forced it back down. Her crimson locks had some how stayed somewhat presentable despite the place that she was sleeping in but Why was everything moving? The warrior focused her vision simutaniously as she clambered onto her feet. She had a hard days work last night and had not slept for days, but that had not stopped her from her usual joyous manner....after the morning that is. Kadence scratched the back of her head as she made her way out of the basement cabins clumsily , reaching for her sword along the way and swinging it over her shoulder. "Damn! I knew I shouldn't of slept on a ship..."She cursed herself as she pushed open the old wooden door. A bright smile crept across her face as she inhaled a breath of fresh air. The ship was moving....but who was driving the ship? She kept her hand along the hilt of her rapier. Was it thieves ,that had stolen the ship? Kadence didn't even know who owned the ship. She just needed a place to rest. "Where am I?...." She moved her gaze to behind the ship. Her jaw dropped. Only a small flickering lights could be seen from the Village of Veceda. Her home. Maybe the guy who stole the ship has some money.... Kadence crept along the back of the ship, inbetween the mirrored stairs and hid behind some crates. Before he carried on he took a quick glace at the grave and the blade resting against it. It looked like a well crafted blade so he asked "Is that your sword or the deadmans?". He didn't wait for his reply, he carried by saying "This perfection i seek is with the blade. I've have travelled far and learned many techniques. Inventory | Kadence surveyed the two men that sat on the deck but soon rising to their feet. Words from their mouths met her ears as they beckoned her fourth. Hey! Come out and face us like a man Urgh...its too early in the morning to be fighting...”She thought and let her fingers run through her hair. "Stealth may be my only option. Hmm, I may have to improvise... The warrior gripped onto her sword tightly as she exposed herself from the shadows. At first, only a silhouette of her body could be perceived as her anxiety planted her feet to the ground. Who were these people? If this was their ship, why didn't they check the cabins? Kadence was glad they didn't, but the result was the same either way so she shrugged it off. It was bright. Too bright. Her hand instinctively came to defend her curious jade spheres from the piercing amber rays. Not only had the sun attacked her by the wind as well. She forced her legs to move towards the pair of strangers despite the gales that pursued her. The warrior let a nervous smile spread her lips timidly and waited for their response.

Inventory | Tare seemed slightly unnerved by the man's request, but after all that has happened, this stranger couldn't have known better. He looked to the blade, then to the man. "The former owner of that blade was my teacher, and the sword shall never be touched by any man, regardless of skill. That sword has been betrayed by the one it taught, so if you wish to test my skill, than be warned, if the student outgrows the teacher, than the lesson learned is death." Tare stood, his sword on his shoulder, but now his face was stern, and ready. He shifted his stance, and prepared for any attack. His eyes scanned the would-be swordmaster, trying to sense the slightest twitch of his form. Tare wasn't sure if what he was doing would be worth it, but in any situation he was glad to use his blade, and looked for every opportunity to sparr, or fight. This new challenger was not familiar to him, so Tare's curiosity grew all the more. He awaited this warrior's move. Last edited by Tare, the Black; 01-18-2007 at 07:55 AM..

Inventory | Averaine squinted at the rising sun. The soft sound of the waves brushing against the wooden boat seemed unaturally quite. If they listened carfully, they could hear the movements of whoever was on this boat. There was no answer to Caije's question for a few moments. Averaine looked up ahead in the horizon, but did not see anything in sight just yet. He then turned away from the wooden wheel and observed the surroundings of the ship. "Caije, why don't you look around?" He told Caije. He nodded and gripped his sword as he slowly walked forward. "Don't be so worried. Whoever is on this ship won't hurt us as long as we don't hurt them. This isn't insane evil were dealing with." As Caije went forth, footsteps behind broke the silence. Out of the back came a women, no older than they were. She gave out a smile. Averaine noticed the rapier she carried along her waist. Caije loosened the grip on his sword and lowered his guard a bit after the women revealed herself. But Averaine was not about to trust her just yet. Inventory | As the giant orange star hid behind some fluffy clouds she glanced at them with her fiery eyes. "My name is Kadence Vyzrel and I was sleeping on this ship until you stole it!" She cried with such a strong voice and yet her explanation sounded so childish. The two strangers seemed slightly shocked at her response as if they expected more of her, like she was a stowaway or something. "Why so early in the morning?!" She mumbled in annoyance and stretched despite the tense atmosphere that was building. It was soon crumbled down and everything seemed much more relaxed. "So..whatcha gonna do? Get me to walk the plank because I was sleeping on a ship that you stole?" She grinned at them with unnatural confidence. Last edited by xXViviXx; 01-18-2007 at 12:12 PM..

Inventory | Vincent took in Tare's words and watched as he took his battle stance. Again he spoke without any warmth in his words. "I did not intend on taking that piece of art. However if i disrespected you, i apologize." He took Tare's stance into mind and brought other battle stances he had learned to mind. He didn't recongize Tare's style so he asked "If you wish to spar, i will gladly accept. But after this would you not mind showing me your blade style." As he finished his last words he drew his katana. Its runes pulsed then settled as if excited by the fight. Taking a stance of his own with the blade held over head. It was as if he was welcoming an attack. He then asked. "Shall we begin?"

Inventory | Caije stood forward and looked at her awkwardly. "Well, we're no better than you apparently." Kadence grinned. "Of course, so why did you need to steal this both in such a Hurry" "Well, I was banished from the Kingdom under treason, I am General of the Royal Paladins, Caije the peace keeper" Caije saluted. "No need to be so Formal, so where are we going on this ship anyway, we already have gotten this far, lets go to Treasure Island. Get loads of treasure." She smiled with greed in her eyes. "No, Im going to find Prince Sarmin," Caije said. "Royalty?" She replied. "Yes, If the king is truly demented then maybe his son can make him see the light." Averaine said. "So where to?" "The Silver lands." Caije replied without a thought. "Thats north-east," "Why are we going to the Silver lands" Kadence asked. "The prince told me somthing, before everything went wrong he told me there were three Relics in the world, one was in Carin, the other in Silver, the other lost for eternity." Caije smiled, history was one of his strenghts. "So the prince will be there, why?" She asked. "I dunno....just a thought..."

Inventory | "So.."Kadence began to make her way up to stairs towards the two men. The anxiety within had seemed to have faded away now and was replaced with her usual firm confidence. “What should I call ya from now on?" She suppressed another one of her warm smiles that could reach anyone’s heart, hoping that she could follow them on their journey. I mean Royalty means treasure, right? Or Rewards of some kind? If only she could get her hands on even one jewel! Imagine how much she could sell it for in her village! Even though this all may not happen but a girl can dream can’t she? "Caije." One of them replied simply. "Name's Averaine" She nodded “I wish to join you on your journey...."The warrior began. Her playful tone was soon turned to a serious one. “I promise you I will not be a burden but instead, strength in battle. Please?” Kadence clasped her hands together,

Inventory | "I don't see the Harm" He smiled as he shook her hand. "My name Is Caije, I was General of the Royal paladin of Carin but......" He went silent as he stared at the Horizen. Dark storm clouds were ahead. The ship was miving towards it by itself as if it was being guided by a mystical force. "Move the ship!" Averaine yelled. He approached the sail and threw it towards the opposite side. It was no use it was still heading towards the storm. "What's moving us....!" Kadence cried. the ship was fastly approaching the storm clouds now. Soon there would be no escape from its wrath and fury that every sailor fears. "Caije! Kadence! Draw your weapons now!" Averaine yelled. They did as instructed and stood back to back. Soon several green blurs were spat from the sea and landed on the boat. Sahagins had boarded the ship. "Could this be.....Krakens wrath...?" Caije asked. "Nonsense, thats just a myth!" Averaine yelled he ran forward and slashed at the Sahagins. Caije followed after and Kadence shortly after. Caije forced the Sahagins off the deck and back into the sea. The ship began to shake violently. Soon many large tentacles were thrown out of the sea and had smacked the ship. Caije pushed himself forward and looked over the Deck. More Sahagins sprouted out of the sea and onto the Deck. Caije turned andspun his blade slashing one of them dead. "HOLY!" He cried. A white light emerdged an engulfed the Sahagins. The shipshook again and Caije lost his balance. If these Sahagins didnt kill them, the Kraken would, and the storm was just ahead. "Any suggestions?" Caije asked in need of a miracle.
