LEGENDS OF THE SWORD

Story
The world of Itonus is a dangerous place, filled with creatures of all shapes and sizes. The worst of these creatures is Man. Forever engaged in war over selfish things, they tear the world apart and bleed Her dry of Her life force. War is common talk amongst the people.

One such war was so terrifying, that the Gods themselves punished the Humans, completely annihilating the warring parties. Ten years have passed since the end of the Last Great War. All that is left from the war is a massive gash in the earth were the Gods ended the last of the wars.

But peace doesn't last forever...

The kingdoms of Artemis, normally a peacefully realm, and the Empire of the Seven Sins have been in constant dispute and on the edge of conflict for the past 9 years. War was imminent with the assasination of the Prince of Artemis. Accusations point toward the Empire but they denied any involvement.

Even worse, the Princess of the Empire was murdered also, the Empire declared war on Artemis.

In between these two states is the small kingdom of Luca. This kingdom will be the battlefield for the battles to come...

Rules
~Follow standard forum rules.

Kingdoms
The Kingdom of Artemis: the Artemi are a strong-willed people and vie for peace whenever possible. But if war is their only choice, they are a formitable foe. They have the strongest naval fleet of the three realms. The Artemi capital is settled on the end of a penninsula, water surounding it on three sides, making it the most strategically sound capital of the three kingdoms. The Kingdom is ruled by the King Deste.

The Empire of the Seven Sins: despite the name, the Empire is actually ruled buy seven powers: the Lords of the Seven Sins. They are a most terrible lot, an order that dates back to the creation on the world. They are leaded by the Lord of Pride. The other six are the Lords of Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Wrath and finally Envy. Their capital is centered near the hellish Mt. Hellfire, an ever active volcano that covers the Empire's realm in thick black ash. It is said a Great Fire Wyrm is nestled inside the mountain's heart. The Imperial Army has the strongest land attack force and have the strongest machine aerial fleet.

The Kingdom of Luca: the Lucan realm is home to the dragonkind. The dragonkind are Human/ Dragon entities. They can shift their form from either Dragon or Human and anywhere in between. The Lucans are a proud people and powerful. They have the strongest magical might and strongest non-machine aerial fleet: the legendary Dragon Riders. The Lucan Kingdom is a beautiful land, lush with wide open plains with are rich with wildlife. Their cities are the most beautiful in the world, crafted from white stone and marble. They are ruled by the Dragonking Bahamut. the Lucan capital is settled in the dead center of the kingdom, it has strong walls that even their most powerful magic spell could not break through.

Magicks:Level 2(Fira, Blizzara, Thundara, Aerora, Watera, Darkra, Blinda, Stona)
Abilities:Is proficient in both magic and fighting with his blade. Can fuse his magic with his sword for a short period of time.
Bio:
Being born in the Kingdom of Artemis, Jojo's father was known as a great knight who had powerful strength. Being General to the King, he was well-known and had great swordsman ship. While his mother, who was a great mage. Studied magic since she was young. She's was a mage who helped the poor and fought for whats right. She gave birth to Jojo during the war. Both Jojo's parents wanted him to learn the ways of a warrior and the ways of a mage. So he trained at the age of 4. He had the perfect life and wanted to make his parents proud till his town was under attack.

One night the town of Artemis was under attack by the wrath of the Gods. Bloodshed was everywhere. Jojo's parents fought to protect their Kingdom. They fought hard till Jojo's father was beheaded by a God-like being and his mother was hung in the forest of Artemis. Jojo wanted revenge and wouldn't stop one day till he got it. So while living on his own, he went to the academy that his father had went to in order to become a great warrior. And also attended the Magick of Wonders to become a great mage. Jojo studied hard and finally graduated from both schools. Now on his own and realizing what he wants, he ready to start on his journey and fight now only for his parents, but for his Kingdom as well.........

Doughboy, a few thoughts on your profile. For starters, what kind of weapon is the "Sword of Sorrows"? Is it a Longsword, Shortsword, Broadsword? What does it look like? And being that you are Mounted Cavalry, you should have a lance or a spear also. Same thing with the shield and armor, what do they look like? Any distinct indentifications? And your abilities are also a concern. They are for only physical abilites, such as strenghts and weaknesses. You can keep those spells but put them under Magicks. Here, use mine as an example:

Abilities: Is a great attacker. He can also use his dragon abilties in Human Form, which is not an easy feat even among the elder of the Lucan Clans.

Bio: Bek is a son of the Angelus Clan, one of the more influential clans in the Kingdom. Truth be told, the Angelus Clan is the only clan with a direct blood link to the Dragonking Bahamut. This makes him a very honored and respected member of the Lucan society. Bek was born with amazing capabilities already, it is said that he was blessed by the Gods. With rumors aside, Bek is a very skilled fighter. He trained since he was little in both the way of the sword and in his Dragon Form.

It was not since the founder of his Clan, the Red Dragon Angelus, that such a powerful Dragonkind was born. He has his weaknesses like all mortals though. In his days as a youth, he has made plenty of mistakes. Bek has skill in sword melee combat, making him an elite. And as of all Dragonkind, he has a few powerful magicks, too. Bek's heart is to his King, he has no use for any lovelife or anything as such. He is a soldier.

Bio: Marth is the son of the Artemian Elite knight Gillford & the Lucan high priestess Effy vaan der Zall,the outcome of a forbidden romance between a human & a dragonkind.That is the reason he is not accepted in any Clan or the Dragon Riders in the Kingdom,the fact that he is only half dragonkind.His abilities lesser them the others,he cannot fully transform into a dragon-he transforms in a semidragon-human being,but that is his initiative to train more & more,so as to show everyone that he is not to be taken lightly,for when his anger explodes,there's no one who can stop him,no one but the love of his life,Lilyth Agma Quisto,a young Lucan priestess.

Although Marth is loyal to the King & to the Lucan laws,he prefers doing things his way-going on missions alone;he isn't the typical Lucan soldier.He doesn't even live in the Capital,but in the forests like a ranger.When he is needed he'll fight the ones menacing Luca,though he has trained with the Artemian elites(the only thing his father did for him),though his relationship with the Elvin is quite good.Marth is a traveller since young-never stays on one place,a man who despite being young & immature,has experience in various battle types,both with weapons & hand to hand.Skilled in making friends in his travels with those who can help him when needed,he has friends he can count on on all the reaches of Itonus.What annoys him the most is that although the Dragonking himself is aware of Marth's potential(being sort of a new species with new,unique powers) he never supports him,he doesn't see him as a soldier who would die for Luca,he never counts on him or allows him to enter the Dragon Riders.

A long spear with a 15 inch long blade, made from elven wood from a Lucan forest.
Other Equipment: A silver breastplate engraved with devine and intricate patterns and curves, hangs tightly about her and only comes down to her belly button. Silver and gold Gauntlets with leather inside, a sun is shown in gold on each. Elbow armour also made of silver. Leather belts and straps that hold her swords and armour to her. Wears all black underneith with golden trims and intricated curved patterns.
Magic's: Healing arts passed down by the elders, some fire magic knowledge.
Abilities: Extensive knowlege of close combat with light swords and a strange relationship to horses that helps her ride.

Bio: A seemingly unimportant member of Lucas cavelry, yet well known in the field, Is asked upon for battle strategy when in densly forested areas, due to her knowledge of nearly every forest around. Was forced to leave her village when It was destroyed during the war ages ago, moved to Luca in hope of a new start.

Was taken in by a strange family that believed her long golden hair and bright blue eyes were a blessing for her and treated her well, so she has very good manners yet rarely speaks, sings alot to express herself and what she feels.

When introduced into the Cavelry she brought her own horse, named 'Reuben' and has ridden him since, although she is near 300 years old, which is young for her kind, she only looks 18 and so says she is that age to almost everyone, apart from people she trusts.

Is extremely loyal to Luca, hates the Imperials the most as it was them who caused the destruction of her village. Treats all from there like an enemy, like it was their fault.

When not on duty she spends alot of her time in the library and so has a very high intelligence and knowledge of battle techniques and sword combat movements.

Bio: Miyo is a man grown and raised in the Imperial city of The Empire of Seven Sins. After witnessing hi mother and fathers death he set out to train and kill the Seven lords for killing his parents. He travelled across the world and soon heard of the war that was soon approaching and he realised that this was his only chance. To make those damn sin lords pay.

He searched for the city of Artemi hoping to live there and fight against the imperials. Instead he is captured questioned and imprisoned. Living the past weeks in there he plans his escape and now is time for him to make his move.

because my character lives by his own life and thinks as anybody who bosses him around should be killed. And he doesn't like the way the imperials treat others

Maviente (a pair of guns that she always use to protect herself,She usually use only one of them but in critical times,she uses both..The gun is light and easy to hold but deadly dangerous..They were named after Maviente,Ciel's best friend who died in the war.)
Rod Of Wind (a magic staff that's given by her mother,daughter of the god of wind.Made by magic and the power is yet incredible.It can create storm,tornado and can make the user fly.)
Water Toy Gun (She loves to splash water to people.This isn't really a weapon.Made from 100% plastic.The gun is big and long.It can contained about 2 liter of water and it's heavy.She sometimes use this to distract people)
Other Equipment: Marbles (normal marbles kept in her big pouch..she hardly use them and they're made from gem and a little combination of water and fire magic..the process are really complicated...she always play with them and make them into beads but when the marble hits the water,it'll explode in 15 seconds..Ciel is pretty careful with them..She uses her magic,water to use them in battle.)

Her father and mother were both traveler but they stopped traveling and built a house in Saviene.A baby girl was born.She became a beautiful little girl and is friend with another girl named Maviente..They lead a happy life.Ciel learned how to use guns from her father at the age of 7(such a young age).She's a really fast learner.She used to help her father kill foxes for food.Her mother died when gaving birth to her..Maviente's mother sometimes teached her and Maviente how to cook as she's a great cook.At her age of 8,during the great war,her father joined the army but the reinforcement bring back a dead body of him.Ciel's mother lost her hopes to continue living and she died of sudden heart attack.Ciel was in deep sorrow but Maviente calmed her.Maviente's father was forced to join the army.Maviente's mother was killed in the war.Maviente was full of hatred and she wanted to avenge.She went to the battlefield and was chased by Ciel,who was trying to stop her.Maviente died however since she's too short and a soldier shot her right in front Ciel.Ciel grabbed one of Maviente's gun and shot the soldier.She took Maviente to a safe place.However,Maviente passed away when they reached the place.Ciel took Maviente's gun.She has decided that she'll forget her past.So she's now adventuring the great Artemis on her airship named Syberius..She wonders if any army would hire her..She's bored and thinks she need an entertainment that might be fighting?
