‘Lets Play Together!’

Hello friends,

Setzer and I came up with a great idea! Lets play FFIV together! Yeah! Basically we’re gonna start a new file of FFIV and beat the game together. We’ll post our updates on how far we are in the game, ask for help if we run into specific problems. Give our character stats and generally just have fun!

This isn’t a competition, we’re just playin’ to have fun!

So, as of Thursday, December 21, 2006… I’ll be starting the sign up! I’ll keep track of who is playing and your start date. We won’t be starting the game until after Christmas, but you’re welcome to start whenever you like.

And I have it for PS1. So.. I might join this, but I'm currently playing FFXII and Suikoden Tactics. >.>;

I'll use my SNES emulator. I do have the PS version, but the emulator will be more usable at uni when I go back since my housemates will probably be using the PS2 quite often themselves.

Brilliant idea, and although you clearly stated it won't be a competition, i can't help but fear it will still be one. Anyways seeing as how i just recently beat it, i probably will play lightly. I'll probably end up playing so and so to beat it eventually...

Well, I've officially started my FFIV file on my SNES. Wow, I love this game!

I guess I'll just kinda recap on my situation. I've kept all my characters with the same name so far... I defeated the Myst Dragon and the Octomamm... Now I'm starting the Antlion cave! Poor Cecil.

I'll post my team's level stats. I'd post Tellah's but he left my party...

Man, I bought Rydia the "ShortBow" from Baron and it's the biggest piece of crap ever, haha. I expected her to at least be able to hit the enemies... She misses every time! I guess I'd better just stick to magic with her.

Awesome! Great turn out so far. We'll be started in a few days (feel free to start now if you want) But the official date will be soon. Just lemme know the date you start and I'll keep it recorded.

I got my FF IV for GBA yesterday. It is my first file (dah) and time I play it. BUt anyway, I just got Baron Key. I didn't enter cave yet but I'm going to do that. I don't remember my characters lvls but they all around 20 expect Cecil. He's lvl is something like 15-16. That is because he started at lvl 1 after turning Paladin.

But yep, lets play FF IV together.

Whoaa.... SB, you've gone faster than I thought you would. I was under the impression we'd like, do a boss at a time. For example, we'd all fight the Mist Dragon and wait for everybody else to beat it before everybody else moves on or something :S

I need to go on a slightly slower pace than you are, sir! If it becomes too inconvenient I'll break away and play seperately by myself.

Nah, we'd be waiting far too long if we limited ourselves. It's best just to play together without limits!

I'm playing as we speak! I'm currently at Mt. Ordeal, turning Cecil into a Paladin! I'll update my stats.

Right, been playing for about an hour and a half. Just in Kapio, been training Rydia up a bit.

I'm at Mt.Ordeal as well with Cecil too. He's still a dark night though. I barely got there and he's at level 22. Its a shame that when he becomes a Paladin he starts off a level one again. And Polom and Porom are at level 19 as well with Tellah at level 18.

I had nothing special to do today... so I've actually been playing FFIV all day.

I'm pretty far ahead so I wont give out any spoilers until some of you have caught up... But I'll update my levels just so you have a general idea of where I am.

Hmm... Maybe I should put the stats in Spoiler tags... What do you guys think?

NOTE: Whenever I post my character stats, I post them in the formation of my party. You don't have to... but it's just interesting the different way a party can be established. Neato!

Yo, now I have actual lvls. I didn't get much forward yesterday because that water fiend almost owned me. I losed to it because three character of my party died before I had change to attack it. But yep, those lvls.

And now I have run out of money because I bought those armors that cost 4000 to every character expect for Cecil. I'm going to train till lvl 25 before trying again that fiend.

EDIT// I almost forget. Area where I'm going to train if Mt. Ordeals. Because those monsters in cave where you go to Baron castle almost own also me. So yep, here I come Mt. Ordeals to lvl up.

Woah. I actually had a more difficult time fighting the guard before the Water Fiend... Thanks to Tellah and Palom, I was able to defeat the water fiend in a matter of seconds. Just using Lightning immidiately really helped.

Yeah, the monsters on the underground route to the castle were pretty tough... but they give you good experience if you can beat 'em.

My philosophy with most final fantasys is to never run from a fight. You're pretty much the exact level you need to be when you get to a boss.... Well, it at least works for me.

Tell me when some of you get to the Dark Elf. Now that part was annouying.

I've been playin' non-stop pretty much for the last two days, heh. I'm a little ahead but I'll keep the spoilers down until you guys catch up. I'd still love to discuss your progress and any troubles you run into. So far, I've heard a lot of difficulties involving leveling..

I really haven't had any troubles yet... Just keep on fightin' !
