MSN / Windows Messenger Help

Ok since I was given my computer its had this one problem and its really starting to annoy me with Windows Live Messenger everytime it starts up the resolution of my computer changes from the 1024 resolution to the 640 resolution and my graphics driver doesnt even let me reach that myself I've tried looking on the options and stuff and tried installing MSN Messenger 7.5 and it still does the same stuff has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it????

Uhm.. It sounds like something on your end. I've never had any problems like that, nor do I know of anyone that has.

Either it's your graphics card (which I'm highly doubtful of), you have a bug/virus, or your GUI (Graphical User Interface) is screwing up.

Logically, it could only be those three. Despite the...odd nature of this, merely take it to your local computer whizz shop, and tell them what's wrong.

Worst comes to worst, it'll cost you £30. But that's only if they need to replace something worthwhile.

I know that the graphics card is often not supported by other things and I can't change it either since its a Laptop that I use

I'd love to take it to a shop to find the problem but shops round here are stingy with money so they'll probably charge me anyway plus i'm only 14 so me having £30 in the first place would probably shock me more than anything since I never have money

I'm fairly sure its not a virus since I have AVG and it cures everything ....I hope

Well, taking your first post into consideration (which I SHOULD have done before), your laptop is fairly new?
If so, you'll still have warranty on it. Take it back to the place of purchase, and explain your situation. Chances are, if you have your receipt, you'll either get it checked for free, or get a replacement.

hehe problem number 2 lol my Grandad was the one that gave me the laptop so there is no warrenty anymore since I think he threw it away and i'm guessing its past its warrenty
