| Genocide Unfolds, I Forgive All |
Have any of you guys ever had dreams that you have every night, or every few weeks that just keep coming back for no apparent reason? I've been getting this lately. The times that I actually get to fall asleep, I usually have this same dream. Funnily enough, I fell asleep about five times in total last night, thanks to constantly being woken up at a certain point in the dream that seems to make me jump... Anyway. In the dream, I'm in Silent Hill (which is fine, because I think and play Silent Hill excessively, so that's that), but in the dream, I'm walking along, and on the streets, watching me, is everybody that I care about. As I pass them by, one by one, they die away. Some of them I see twice, others I see once. I keep seeing this one person again and again, dying in some new and hideous way. It scares me. I've tried looking up the meaning and it said a load of different things... One said it might be that I feel neglected, or that there's somebody unworthy of trust and that they're killing my relationships with family (that would be my father, if so). Another says that I crave closeness and that I don't feel fulfilled. I don't know which one to "believe" most, but that doesn't really matter here, since it's not a part of the thread. I also have other dreams that I'm losing my boyfriend in some way or another... It makes me appreciate what I have when I wake up, but it still scares the shit out of me. Has anyone else suffered from recurring, and creepy or horrible dreams?

Inventory | Some of my dreams are too sick and creepy to mention on a Forum in case of young eyes that may get traumatized, but I can tell you of a recurring dream I had. I wasn't the normal meaning associated with occuring however, it actually happened once when I was about 7 again when I was 10 and again when I was 14. I mean how random and far apart is that. The first time I had the dream when I was 7 I caused me to wake up screaming, because at that age it was more of a nightmare and then when I had it the other 2 times I was like, what the hell? I've had this dream before and I quickly remembered that night when I was 7. So what was the dream about, well, I was in some sort of Factory, and it was a factory that I think was making letters of the Alphabet. Then what happened was these letter went toward this thing that crushed them out of existance and when this letter of crushed out of existance so too did a part of my body, A got rid of a finger, then B took my hand and so on. The dream was really long as these 24 letters each got crushed and then when the last letter went through all I had was my head and then that was when I woke up. I mean, letters, wtf. This dream I havn't even bothered to look for a meaning because I dunno, I doubt there would be any dream dictionary that would cover that! Edit: Oh and I just wanted to add a second quick dream that I though was pretty funny. It was about me playing an old skool computer game called Tyrian, that I hadn't played in 4-5 years and hadn't even had the slightest thought about it before I had the dream, so after having the dream I found an old PC gamer disc from 1998 put it in my computer and played it. I just thought it was funny that sometime dreams can bring up things that you havn't even had a thought about in years, shows the theory that what you watch recently on T.V. and stuff affecting your dreams isn't nessecarily true. Inventory | Only one recurring dream comes to mind. I dont have it that often, but it's the only dream I have which recurs. I'm trying to get somewhere in the dream. Most of the time I have a deadline by which I need to get where I'm going. I always feel as though I CAN reach that place in the given time, but it's really hard. Why? The muscles above my kneecaps ache. Both of them. REALLY ache, like you're walking up a steep hill. It makes me not able to walk faster. I feel I probably could, but because of the aching I just can't bring myself to do so. Most of the time I am going uphill in the dream, but not always. And sometimes somebody is with me, going ahead but waiting for me every so often. I'd like to know what it could mean. I think a friend who studies psychology made a guess at it's meaning once... but I forgot it.

Inventory | I used to have recurring dreams about nuclear attacks. The earliest one that recurred wasn't as bad as the later ones. It always started with my two old friends and I in a crowd, protesting outside of some kind of embassy building. I always felt as if it was in Russia, for some reason. Then we'd run into the building. We'd run and run and run with some kind of unexplained urgency, panicking. We'd arrive in an office to face a fat man behind a desk and men in military uniforms. We'd plead with him not to do what he was about to do. Then we'd run outside, back to the crowd. We'd grab onto a chain fence at the front of the crowd. Cue air raid siren. Then, two huge missles would launch from the back of the embassy building, and i'd wake up. A few years later, when I was sixteen, they came back. By this time I understood the progress of a nuclear explosion, and what happens and so on. The new one recurred more than the older one, and frightened me more. I'd start in maths, at school. The siren would sound, and suddenly everything would slow down. I'd walk around the whole school in a daze, saying goodbye to everyone; best friend, friends, mother, father. Then i'd walk across a field of flowers and end up the Tech department. I'd take my boyfriend by the hand, and together we'd walk out to the front of the school. At this point everything would start to melt; flames everywhere. We'd like down next to each other and i'd wake up. I remember both so vividly. It's scary to remember them. I really hope I don't ever get them again. That's my only ever experience of recurring dreams though. Mine seem to be very grounded in real life, which is odd. My dreams are always like that. I'm never anywhere I don't recognise, and i'm never with someone I don't know. Nothing mad crazy ever happens. Meaning? I came to the conclusion that i'm shit scared of nuclear weapons, really.

Inventory | Recurring dreams are extremely informative and tend to mean something that requires some figuring out. I've had a good many recurring dreams about my ex-girlfriend, and sometimes I'll have dreams about me fighting someone but for some reason I can never punch. Or there's the dream that feels like someone is pulling me down into my bed, and it feels like I'm awake but I can't move or speak. It all means something, and it doesn't have to be some drawn out mystery with a spiritual agenda. It could be something as easy as a stress you're dealing with, and you want to be rid of it... or maybe you feel like you could be doing better at something but someone or yourself is holding you back from it. Recurring dreams are also usually highly dramatized compared to the actual matter at hand, so it's normal to feel better about it when you're concious. Unresolved feelings, shyness, depression etc can lead to recurring dreams as well. People who have suffered abuse, trauma, injury or loss will frequently have recurring dreams about their painful experience which lessen in frequency and intensity over time. Without a doubt though, 99.9% of the time it's because we're trying to resolve a problem. Stress relief techniques tend to help, and believe it or not a healthy diet and exercise can help. Instead of trying to correct to dream pattern, try to create methods to aid in better sleep patterns.

| Hmm...honestly half the time I don't remember what I dream when I wake up and even if I try to remember it gets all fuzzy just thinking about it though. Is it even normal to forget what you dream? Maybe I'm getting alzeimers or something.....who knows. Anyways back on topic. A few months ago, I had this dream that I was after school and I was like the only one there after everyone had left and I was alone in the library. No one was there. Not even the librarian or the teachers. It was just me and I was doing my homework by myself. Then all of a sudden I heard a noise by the rows of books. I decided to get out of my seat and look around and find out what it was. As I was looking around the books and the rows of where there were at, and all of a sudden I heard a chainsaw going on and this Big Ass Ape started chasing me around the school. I hauled ass and everytime he would almost get near me with that thing...I would wake up. And what's weird was I had somewhat of the same dream the following day but instead of being chased by an Ape..........I was chased by my ex-girlfriend!!! | ||||||||||||

Inventory | I've been having the same dream lately... well, very similar I should say. It's just me driving my friend's manual transmission car. I have an auto right now. I think the meaning in this dream is that I need to ge a manual car lol.

Inventory | Yeeeaaaahhhhh. I have this one recurring dream that's creepy. I'm in Hell, looking for my long lost love. Satan is that chick from evanescence, and she hates me because my love just happens to be her son. She rips me apart several times but I survive because, of course, I'm in hell. There's a club where she stays and I keep searching for "him". I never find him though. And a lot more shit goes down, but I'm too damn lazy to type it all. Anyway. That's what creeps through my brain now and then.

Inventory | I mentioned this before but I often have dreams about going back to School, when I am there I often decide that I am going to take it more seriously this time. The weird thing is my mum used to get these dreams when she was my age, it is annoying and I hope its not a sign to go back to school .Another weird one that I keep getting is that I am on the beach, the tides coming in real close to the houses or cars and just floods the whole are around there. Neither are the exact same even but the basics of it is, do you have a link to the site that can explain what they mean? I have head they mean the exact opposite but I can't really tell. I hate dreaming to be honest.

Inventory | When I was young I had a dream that Leprachaun from the movies were chasing me in a condo we used to rent which was horrifying. Only I had it just when we stayed there so I won't count that. On the other hand every so often as in a couple times a year usually I have this bizzare dream for whatever reason. I'll be sleeping...like usual and I don't even really dream I'll just get this feeling like I know what's coming and I hear a massively loud scream from a woman. Like horrying, and I always wake up freaked out and hate it so much. It could be from Max Payne the video game cause in one part you hear a scream very similar to it...but I have no idea why I have this dream. Damn I hate that one.

| FapFapFapFapFapFapFapFapF apFapFap | I have recurring dreams often, but they usually don't seem to last that long. Some are more nasty than others. When I was younger I always used to dream about chasing an owl carrying a giant kite, and my friends falling into the drain. One I had for about a month early this year was myself suffocating in a smallish, plastic cube, with a ghost. It was another really vivid one, I can still recall the feeling of my lungs losing air. I was in a box, and it looked like I was alone, yet I could feel another presence inside there with me, and I was suffocating as all these faceless people around me [us?] watched. I usually woke up as I died. Lately I've been having another one. It's only been going on for about a week, but it still creeps me out a bit. I woke up crying the first time I had it. In it I'm a little kid around 7 or 8, and an ex- girlfriend I had been in a really horrible abusive relationship with is an adult. And I'm standing there looking up at her and she's hurling all this abuse at me, and I keep trying to butt in to tell her that I love her, but then I change my mind and try to tell her I hate her, But I can't because I'm only a little kid and she keeps on talking. I can't do anything, So I jump off the roof of the building we're on. It's probably the worst recurring dream I've had, because the wounds still really havn't healed from that relationship. I've had plenty more horrible dreams, but I'd be here forever if I listed all of them. | ||||||||

Inventory | I have three reoccurring dreams. They've all been coming rather frequently for about 4 years...don't know why though. One is rather graphic, and I probably shouldn't get into the details on here, but it deals with my loved ones being killed and strung up from the ceiling of my house... The second is that I am walking through my house, and I run into a giant turnip (though sometimes it is a radish). I am generally unresponsive until I find out it is a man-eating turnip. At that point, I run out onto my front yard into a pit, surrounded by bleachers containing all of my friends. I then am given a pool noodle (you know, those long foam cylinders...) and am forced to battle to the death. Unfortunately, I usually wake up before I find out the end... The third deals with a group of my friends and I being trapped in the mall. In our attempts to escape, two of my friends get eaten by a man-eating dwarf, and another is eaten by a baby dragon that he's attempting to pet.

Inventory | I have this one recurring dream where I am always confronted by this extremely hot chick (weird thing is, she's so damn hot but I can never actually remember her face)...to make a long story short, I usually wake up with wet squishy undys in the morning. ![]() I also have another one where I am standing on a cliff that hovers over a mountain ridge. Strangely, this mountain ridge looks exactly like the one that was behind our house when I lived in California. Possibly this is due to me having been much younger, meaning I percieved things as considerably bigger than they are, but the ridge is massive and the cliff extremely high. Anyways, I've seen this ridge more recently at an older age and can only say that's it's nothing like I remember it; it's not even that steep unlike in the dream. Anyways, in the dream I run towards the cliff and just basically jump off, like some kind of dimwitted moron jumping to his death. What then happens is kind of hard to put into words, but during the freefall, I peer down at the ridge as water slowly seems to materialize out of the ground until a whole ocean is covering the place. All the while as I'm falling, I have the sensation that this freefall is indeed reality and my body usually also jerks and shit (usually my legs will jump up as I jump from the cliff, which I am somehow able to feel despite still being in the dream). It feels so real in fact, that the anxiety of my impending death usually takes a hold of me and I plummet evermore downwards into the sea of water at the bottom. With each falling meter, I come closer and closer to the water, until I'm about to make contact with it, when...BAM! This sleepy muthafuckah wakes up and decides he needs to lay off the midnight snacks a bit! Shit if I know what this dream means, but I've had it on and off since I was about 8 or so. Last time was probably about 4 or 5 years ago...I figure alcoholic intoxication is keeping me from having anything but a hangover in the morning nowadays. ![]()

| Genocide Unfolds, I Forgive All | That recurring dream I had is long gone now. For a while, after we split up, I had recurring dreams about my ex, which usually involved him being a lot nicer... I'm glad those stopped. Often, I'd see him and my current boyfriend talking or being fine with each other which is friggin' weird. Dunno if that was because I know they've met before. Whatever, I don't have those dreams anymore. I often dream about my deceased hamster Sari, dreaming that she was dead, but when I put her in my hands, she'd spring back to life and only my other, still living hamster Jari and I could see that she was alive. I've also dreamt about my sisters' hamster dying and me holding the little thing, calling her Sari rather than her real name, Dory. Other dreams... I often have different dreams about my boyfriend, but it's not really recurring. It's more of a welcome surprise when we "dream meet". xD | ||||||||
