The Land of Shadows

Jak had been riding for the best part of the day when the mist engulfed him. It was an extremely thick mist, he could barely see ten feet in front of him. He dismounted Burakku, and started leading him along the cobbled road. There was something strangely un-natural about the mist, it sent a shiver down Jak's spine and it was making Burakku, who was normally very calm, nervous too. Jak half-suspected it to be the work of some form of sorcery.

It was the perfect end to what had been a thoroughly miserable trip. But then, Jak hadn't ever expected it to be enjoyable. After all, when your travelling to the joint-burial of your mother, father and older sister you hardly have high spirits about it. If one good thing had come about it, he had finally accepted their death and been able to mourn properly for the first time.

After walking in silence for some time, he started to smell the most horrible ordour. What made it even worse, it was one he recognised and he therefore knew he was approaching a habitation of some kind. For the smell hung around every habitation in the country. It was the smell of the disease they had rapidly spread through the land killing off over half the population before they realised how to contain it. Almost every doctor and white mage in the country had died of the disease or were dying of it. For when they had gone to treat the patients they had soon become infected themselves. The land of Kumori had never encountered a disease like it before, for it was spread through the touch of skin. It was this disease that had killed off his family, and it was this disease that was the reason for why he was wearing many layers of clothing, glothes and a face mask, exposing as little skin as possible. It was dark times for the land of Kumori, very dark times.

As he approached the first of the buildings he recognised and remembered it as one of the habitations he had passed through on his journey to the temple. Unsuprisingly there had been no activity. Since the disease, most people had isolated themselves in their homes, starving themselves instead of risking being infected by the disease. But this time it was different - he could just discern a figure in the mist ahead.

"Who goes there?" Jak recieved no answer, but the figure began to travel towards him. The figure moved in a strange, shuffling way, as if they had trouble using their body, but they moved suprisingly fast. As they can came closer Jak was able to discern that it was a man, but there was something about him that put Jak on his guard. His hand automatically went to the black sword Awai, his fingers closing reassuredly around the hilt.

"Who goes there? Name yourself!" he cried again, still recieving no answer. The man simply continued to shuffle towards him. Jak could see some of his features now. The man's skin was pale, dry and cracked and Jak could see strange boils around the man's neck and on his hands. Jak's worst fear's were realised - this man was diseased. That explained why he was exposing his skin as well.

"Do not approach! You're infected! By the King's orders, you must remain in quarantine!" The man continued to shuffle foward. Jak took a few steps back. Burakku whinnied and tugged away from him. Now Jak could see the mans eyes, and there was something very strange about them - they were completely black. That was not a symptom of the disease, Jak was sure of it. He had spent along enough at his family's besides, thankfully never touching them, to know the symptoms well enough.

"Stay back! Do not approach!" but by know Jak knew it was hopeless - the man couldn't hear him. There was something very wrong - the boils indicated the man was reaching the last stages of the disease - soon he would be dead, he should not be able to be walking about like this.

Suddenly, the man lunged at him. I reacted instinctively, pulling out Awai and slashing the man across the chest. Blood spurted from the wound, the man staggered back, but then, to Jak's amazement, the man recovered and lunged at him again. Jak couldn't believe it! He should be dead, or at least greviously injured. Jak swung his sword, lopping off the man's head. Then he turn and ran, swinging himself up onto Burakku and charging away, making as much distance between the man and the habitation as possible, but he could not escape the mist.

Sutoomu woke up from a meditative state. He had been sitting there, focusing his thoughts for a few hours now. Slowly his mind came back into focus. Once this was done he opened his eyes and let the madjust to the light. Finally he stood up, looking around the room and stretching. The room was just as he had left it. At the moment he wore his comfortable house clothes. He went to his closet and changed into his only other type of clothing, which was what he wore out and about, and on missions. After he was done getting dressed he walked over to a chest that sat at the foot of his bed. Sutoomu pulled forth his leather armor and weapons, laying them all out across his neatly made bed. First he put on the armor, strapping it to his chest, back, sholders, shins, and forearms. Then he tied his tool belt on. Last he donned his twin kodachi. The short swords were strapped tightly to his back. After he had finished he walked out the door. As he exited he grabbed his large black cloak and put it on, pulling the hood over as he left the room. He walked out of his house into the busy street.

Fully hidden under his cloak, he walked down the street, watching people. He made his way out of the city. He walked out along the walls, just enjoying nature and remebering how many times he has had to climb this wall... to many to count. After a while he wandered back to the gate. He sat up in a tree about one hundred yards away, watching all of the people who went into the city and taking note of anyone who looked important.

Murasame Gengji Gauntlet

"I haven't tried that before"

Vann decided trying to shoot an arrow by using his teeth was something he had never tried. He laughed to himself in amazement of what a great idea it was considering his arm could during a heroic battle be severely damaged and unable to perform any movement.

He looked for a target. There was an tree up ahead. Ah, mother nature! How very convenient. Simulating as if one of his arms was immobile, he prepared the bow and the arrow one-handed. He then bit the back part of the arrow. The feathers had a terrible taste. He had never realized that before, even though he had been an archer for oh so long. He then tried to pull the arrow back ignoring the awful taste of the plumes. Once he thought he had pointed the arrow to hit right on target, he opened his mouth and voila! Before he could see where the arrow went to, the string hit his lip, made him release the bow instinctively, somehow managing to get whacked in the face with the bow.

He rubbed his face, teary-eyed. "Ouch," he complained. "That wasn't very heroic." He looked around, saw that there was no one, picked up his bow, and whistled his way into the city.

It's been a while..

Solace strolled through the deep woods outside just outside of the city, letting the leaves create patterns over her visage with the ribbons of sunlight. She pushed away a branch and came to a small clearing with a grave in the middle but...she noticed that it had been dug up.

Her eyes blazed in anger as she looked around for a sign of the culprit.Solace glanced back to the grave wearily and sighed before dropping to her knees.

"I'm so sorry....."She whispered guiltily as tears began to flow.

Droplets left her cheek before becoming dew upon the emerald grass as she mourned for her dear friend. A horrific stench peirced her nose before a dark shadow was casted over her trembling body. Solace wiped her tears away and got to her feet before landing her gaze upon the familiar stranger.

"Can I help you?..."

The stranger held no answer and only shuffled towards her. He seemed to have caught the diesease but should be dead considering the state he's in. She jumped back and looked at the figure more carefully now but found that it was her friend himself!

"Avon...is that really you?..."

Her friend only replied in silence. She was shocked but even more when he tried to strike her. Solace jumped away and left the area with only a trace of her tears. She could not face this reality. Solace ran back into the city and hid in the alleyways as she wept.

Sutoomu sat in his tree for hours, just watching hte poeple. Rich, poor, old, young, all kinds of people. He did notice one who looked particularly urgent. She burst out of the forest and darted into the gates. He was somewhat surprised but did not care enough to follow her.

Soon he got very bored of jsut watching people so he dicided it was time to cause a bit of trouble. He hopped down and got a large hand full or rocks. He got back up to her perch and waited untill there were a group of kids going in the gate then threw one of the rocks at one of the gate's Guards. It hit him hard on the side of his helmet and he glared at the kids. Sutoomu laughed to himself then threw another one at the same guard. This time he got mad and started yelling at the kids. This kind of thing seemed to happen to him a lot... Sutoomu got bored a lot... After about aminute of yelling the children's mother came up. A rather large woman and the guard Sutoomu had chosen just happen to be rather small for a Guard. He stood straight for a while but soon cowered before the woman who was now screaming at him. Sutoomu, the second gate Guard, and all of the children were rolling with laughter.

Once Sutoomu had finished his laugh he hopped down, and dropped all of his rocks but one. He would have one last bit of fun. He walked back through the gate an just as he passed the Guard, who had just been scared out of his wits, he threw the last rock at the back of the mother that was wlaking away. She stopped in her tracks and turned around, face bright red with anger. She stomped over to the Guard and proceded to beat the life out of him. The other Guard ran over and tried his best to keep her off of him without getting beaten himself but in the end, his screams of agony could be heard all down the street. Sutoomu roared with laughter as he walked back to his home. It would be interesting to go and see that Guard again in the morning.

Sutoomu did not particularly like walking in the open so he usually took a few alleys to get home. As he paced down one that he passed through every day he saw a girl crying behing an empty barrel. It was the same girl he had seen run so rapidly through the gates a while ago. He could not help but wonder what was wrong, and in his opinion, there could be no harm in at least asking. He walked up to her but staying a good distance away, so as not to frighten her.

"Excuse me miss. I saw you run into town earlier and you looked quite distressed. Is there anything I might be able to assist you with?"

He knew he might not look all that comforting, hiding his face under his hood so he rached up, lowering his mask first then his hood, revealing his pale face and long hite hair.

A gust of wind blew strongly against the figure standing atop a giant rock. His black cape wrapped around him, and his swords sheathed on his back. He held his helmet in his hands and his red eyes glistened in the fading sunlight. He looked around at the land and saw trees swaying, but one area was still. He frowned at it, and jumped on his horse.

"Linsa, lets go check out that area. Something can't be right."

The two rode off swiftly down the hill into the vast forest. The rider and his black horse were a blur as trees whipped by them, and the wind seemed to try and keep up. He saw the strange disturbance ahead, and he held tight to the blue hilt as he scanned the clearing. All that was noticeable was an abandoned wagon. He slowed the horse down, and hopped off. He drew the blue blade and searched. Upon entering the wagon he spotted an old man sitting in the center smiling.

"I knew you would come. I was hoping you would arrive sooner. More like eight years sooner."

"Father?"

"Yes, Kuro. I watched you and your brother from this very wagon. I could not have left to see you. I...I am sorry. I did all I could, but after giving birth your mother died. I was then sent away in exile. All zavex were. We were thought to be the carriers of the disease. Only one man knew the truth, and instead he exploited our background and made us seem like we were the ones who spread it through out the land. Now I have it, and here is where I have been exiled to. You should try to figure out where it came from,. and see if there is anyway to cure it."

"Father, I...I'm not sure I understand. Eight years ago You left on the king's orders. Some erand. How is it you were exiled?"

"Did you not listen? There was a stranger in the village, and he spread rumors about our people, and soon many of us got sick, and we then were infected with the disease, and others contracted it from us. So we were then exiled from the kingdom. You're on thier list, but you haven't yet become infected, have you?"

"No. But mother died from it. I left after that. Six years ago. I was found by a monk and I lived with them for four years and then left to travel. I never thought I'd see you again."

"Well, I'm far along now, and soon I'll be too weak. The disease is spreading fast, and I can only warn you, keep yourself away from the eastern borders. That is where this plague has already strruck. The west may be safe, but try to fight it, find a way to heal this disease."

"How?"

"I'm not sure, but you must find a way. Our people are being blamed, killed and shunned. We have no one to turn to. You are one of the last few who are not infected. The Zavex tribe has been quarentined, and no aid or medicine has been sent. I want you to find out why, and find a cure. Save our people, now leave, I am still sick, and if you get it, our hope will die. Now leave me, I must rest."

"Sleep well father." Kuro left, and mounted his horse. He bowed to the wagon before riding off. His eyes were bright, and as the horse galloped he kept his gaze straight. He was not focused on where he was going, but on what he had to do.

Solace glanced upwards to the soothing voice that came from the dark figure. He removed his mask and revealed a friendly face with chalky locks that curved around his face. She quickly wiped away her tears and choked a sob before slowly answering: " No. No one can help me...."

Her trembling whispers left a white mist to leave her dry lips and disperse into the atmosphere. Solace got onto her feet again and leaned against the wall, whilst looking back to the main streets. Her gaze gradually locked back onto the stranger and narrowed her eyes.

"But even if you could....why would you care?..."

The ninja left the words settle which left an awkward silence between them as time progressed. All she could think about is Avon.

It's been too long....

Platina Shield Ancient Sword X Potion

The moon gleamed bright orange over the small village of Sare. It was a farming village. Only as big as six houses. There were maybe eleven inhabitants at the most. Suddenly the moon was covered by clouds. Then the moaning started. It crept from a hill only a few yards away. Black figures could be seen clumsily making their way down the hill. There were atleast twenty of them. The moon came out from behind the clouds and showed an awful sight.

Bodies full of the disease were walking down the hill. But they were past the final stages of the disease. They were all dea. A rustling from the village showed all of the inhabitants. They were forming a cicle around a figure in the center of the tiny village. It wouldn't be long before the dead men and women made it to the town.

Then all of a sudden the crowd departed and the figure walked over to the edge of the town. The figure appeared to be male. When the moon shown on him you could make out the figure. He was wearing almost all green clothing, including a green cape on his back. He had a black oaken staff clutched in his left hand as he waited.

The bodies finally made it to the edge of the little town and a miraculous thing happened. The man raised his right hand and the nearest figures were suddenly afire. They fell to the ground and slowly burned to ashes. This made all of the other figures stop immediatly. The man when the moonlight shown again appeared to be about the age of fourty.

Magi Kuntas the third walked into the mass of dead bodies and with his right hand, set them all afire. When his job was finally done he walked back to the little village. Once there he was greeted by cheers. "Yes, yes you are free of them for now." You could hear Magi saying. Suddenly he turned around and marched off. He was on a mission and had to help others...

A cold breeze was blowing over the city walls. Clive stood proudly atop the walls, taking in the scenery. The guards on the walls left him alone, they knew that if anything went wrong he could take care of himself. After a while of standing and thinking about a few obsure ideas. Eventually he left, exchanging greetings with some of the guards. He went back to his quarters in the keep. He dressed light, not expecting anything important to happen today. He walked to the library to do a bit of studying. He nodded to the librarian and walked to the group of books on miliary philosophies. He ran a finger over the spines of the books, looking for any that he had not already read. He could find none so he left.

Heading out onto the street and into the crowd. Although there were many people around no one got in his way. He did tend ot have a commanding presance. He walked to the blacksmith, browsing his array of weapons. He saw nothing of interest and soon left.

Today was turning out to be a very boring day.

" No. No one can help me....But even if you could....why would you care?..."

"I am not sure. I believe that everything happens for a reason and therefore there must be a reason I found you here. If I am wrong then oh well, what was the harm in at least asking?"

Sutoomu took a few slow steps closer to her. He was genuinly curious about her situation and for some odd reason to help. He was out of work for the moment and thought that by helping this girl he could find something to help pass the time. It was a slightly selfish thought but he would also be helping her so he did not feel bad about it.

Sutoomu had been heading home for a bit, just to get lunch, it was about that time. Perhaps she would like to join him and discuss things there. He thought it over for a moment and shrugged. 'Why not?' ,he thought to himself.

"I was jsut heading home for a bite to eat. Would you like to join me? If you will not let me help you with the reason you are crying the least I can do is offer you a nice home cooked meal. Well maybe not nice, I am not much of a cook. What do you say?"

He sis not usually entertain guests but all of his items that could get him in trouble were all kept locked up in his room, all she would see would be a cosey little room for living and dining.

Solace looked down to the ground and gathered her thoughts before answering. She never did get a chance to have a decent meal. The girl nodded gratefully and gave him her name.

"My name's Solace..."

It was strange that she could trust him so quickly when she usually didn't trust anyone at all but he seemed friendly enough. She tried to push away her thughts of her brother for a second and foused on what was happening now but it still echoed in the back of her disturbed mind.

In the cold dark, foul stenched hospital where the patients lay in the grotesque beds over-flowing with the deadly germs of the disease. Lunar, the seven-teen year old white mage travelled from every corridoor with the patients lying. She was a young girl who was surrounded by dangers that were awaiting to spread to her vains. She was a nurse white mage working at the hospital to try and heal the souls that had been damned with the disease. But today she was there to see her family. Her family were touched with the disease one day when Lunar was at the hospital working one day, which is how she wasn't affected. Each and every house hold member of her large family were dying, leaving Lunar alone ad frightened.

Lunar walked over to a bed. But it wasn't just any bed, it was where her dying twin sister lay. Her name was Winnia, and she exactly like Lunar exept she had green eyes. It was the only difference in their appearence. Winnia had been in the hospital for three months, and was ready to die.
Lunar covered her skin so she wouldn't catch it. Today was the day when Winnia had to die, which is why Lunar was paying her full attension to her. Her thoughts clouded her mind as the doctors slowly killed her, with authority (sp?) of course. Lunar closed her eyes, as she couldn't watch her twin sister's life be taken. Her thoughts were...

"My sister, a peice of my heart, taken away from me...why?...This disease is spreading...causing more pain every day...I have to stop it..." Lunar thought quietly and determined in her mind.

Winnia was carried off on her bed by completlely covered nurses to the graveyard that lay a few yards beyond the hospital. Slow, painful tears slid down Lunar's face, the pain in her heart was too much to handle. But more was to come, her mother, her father, brothers and other sisters were all still dying, and soon to die completely. Lunar wanted to save them, but her abilities were not strong enough, she would need to train her magics ten times as hard, as the disease was too strong for her.

Lunar then grabbed a newpaper off the shelf in the staff room, where she read shocking news. It was about a strange event happeing in the graveyards of the towns, but no-one could tell exactly what, newsreaders and reporters were crowded around a graveyard last night trying to figure out what was happening, but no results were found.

"Grggh, this thing's getting worse. I can't take it anymore!" Lunar cried.

Her anger raged within, but only brought more tears to her eyes just thinking about it. As vulnerable as she was, she threw the newspaper down on the small table in front of her, and solemnly stared out of the window and at the grave yard. Her mixed feelings flowing through her vains. What was happening? What was so strange?

Jak rode for a very long time, putting as much distance as possible between himself and the village. He rode fast, for Burakku was also eager to be away. It was not long before he was completely lost, he slowed down to a canter. He was still surrounded by the eerie mist, but it was thinner here. It was starting to get dark though - he could not see the sky through the misy, but he assumed this meant night was approaching

He decided to head for a small group of farmbuildings that he could just make out through the mist. They appeared to be abandoned, he shouted out a few times, but no-one came. He headed into one of the barns, pushing the doors open heavily. There was always the chance that they would be more.. more.. he wasn't quite sure what it was that the man had been. He had been alive.. yet dead. He was curious as to whether the man had continued on going after having been beheaded...

Jak made himself a bed out of some of the hay bales in the farm and eventually drifted into a troubled sleep - he dreamt he was running through the mist, being chased by walking corpses. Suddenly, he found himself face to face with his family, but they too were dead.. yet somehow they walked towards him.. their eyes were completely black and their was blood foaming out of their mouths.. they lunged at him.. and he recieved a sharp poke in his stomach. He awoke suddenly, realizing the poke had not been a dream. There was an elderly farmer standing over him, poking him with the butt of his rake.

“My name’s Solace…”

Storm bowed slightly, commiting her name to memory. Sutoomu was not good with names but for some reason he thought hers was one to remember.

“My name is Sutoomu. A pleasure to meet you.”

He smiled and motioned for her to follow him. He led her down a few back alleys then to one side path the led to his home. He turned as he opened the front door to his house, sweeping his hand in gesture for her to enter.

“Welcome. Forgive me if it a little messy, I am not used to having company. I will get right to work on lunch, make yourself at home.”

He knew that these words were easier said than done but it was all he could think to say. Sutoomu moved quickly into the kitchen after dropping his cloak by the front door. He tied his hair back and started pulling out anything that looked fresh. He found some bread, a jug of tea, and a few things to make soup. He started a stove fire to heat the soup. While that was getting ready he set the table, laying out plates, spoons, and cups on his old wooden table.

As soon as everything was ready he brought it all out onto the table, pouring the soup, setting out a bit of butter for the bread, and the jug of tea.

“Lunch is served.”

Sutoomu stood nervously by the table, waiting for her to come sit. He stood by her chair, holding it out for her. If they had been in public he might not have done this but it was his own home, he thought it needed to show as much hospitality as possible. While he stood he wondered what he, a killer for hire, was doing serving lunch to stray girls. He believed that everything happened for a reason but at the moment he was having a very hard time pondering what that reason would be. Hopefully all would be revealed in time.

Solace followed Sutoomu to his house like a lost child and stood in the doorway, admiring his home. The walls were warm maroon while the fireplace set a bright amber upon them from the fire. A oval shaped table was infront of the fireplace while Sutoomu held out a chair for her to sit on. Solace came inside and let her skin melt upon the warmth that embraced her. She sat down and thanked him.

There was soup, a jug of tea and finally a few peices of bread. A lucious aroma met her nose which made her mouth water. She removed her masamune from her waist and placed it on the chair beside her, making sure it was close by. She never did part from her rapier.

She glanced at Sutoomu's shocked face,as she placed her giant weapon there. Solace let out a small smirk as she realised why he had looked so suprised. A 'fragile' girl crying in an alley with a powerful and magnificent masamune. Solace was not herself today for the shock of every had gotten to her but usually she was calm and hardly spoke at all.

Jak looked up at the elderly man. He was wearing the attire of a farmer, so Jak assumed this must be his farm. He looked about 60, with thinning, white hair. He still looked in quite good shape for his age and moved with apparant ease.

"Consider yourself lucky that it was the butt of the rake I poked you with, not the other end. Gave me quite a shock, you did, when I came to get some logs for the fire." He indicated a pile of logs stacked neatly in the corner.

"I'm sorry" Jak replied, "I had been travelling for a long time and I was very weary. I had got lost in the fog and I desparately needed somewhere to shelter"

"Hmm.. well I'll forgive you for that. These parts aren't as safe as they used to be.. there's even rumours going round of corpses climbing out of their graves and walking around.. not that I'll believe it till I've seen it with my own two eyes." the old man suddenly looked grave, he looked Jak up and down, then his face lightened "Now did you say you were lost? Where be it that you're a-heading too?"

"I'm returning to the Capital after a journey to the temple at Shinoyama for the burial of my father, mother and sister. They were killed off by the disease"

"Ah yes.. the disease.. there's something unnatural 'bout that disease.. same goes for this fog.. from what I've heard it's been spreading through this land... hasn't quite reached the capital yet.. but it will soon. Anyway, if it's the Capital you're heading too then I can help you on my way.. I go there myself to sell some of my produce.."

He led Jak out of the barn and pointed to a patch of trees that he could just make out through the fog.

"See those trees? Just pass them, you'll find a small road. Turn left and follow it and soon it'll meet up with the merchant's road that goes straight from Kurahagi to the Capital, turn right onto that and you'll soon reach the capital"

Jak thanked the farmer for his help, then he pulled himself up onto Burakku and rode off towards the trees.

Upon entering a seemingly deserted town, Kuro dismounted Linsa, and walked through the streets. He soon felt strangely uncomfortable, and whispered silently to his horse, "You should probably find a copse with wild berries. I don't want you to face my problems." The horse whinyed and he let her go. She galloped out of the town, and into the woods. He smioled faintly, and sighed.

He paced outside of the nearest pub, and finally decided to enter. When he sat down in a stool, the bartender studied him, and when Kuro removed his helmet the bartender yelled.

"Hey! You're one of those sicklings! A Zavex warrior! I don't want your diseased hide in here! You'll infect my customers, get out!"

Kuro had heard many worse insults, and wordlessly got up, and put his helmet on again. He left the pub in a silent rage. "I'm not even infected. I'll never understand it. But I have to try and stop it. My people need help, and no one can prevent me. But if I'm unwelcomed here, it will be most difficult."

Sutoomu sat, eating in silence. He was very surprised when Solace had set aside a sword. He had not figured her to be a fighter at all. But thats what he gets for assuming. He normally never underestimated people but this time he had slipped. If she had been an enemy then he would most certainly be dead. He ate only what he needed, saving the rest for her or for later. Sutoomu was not the kind to waste anything unless he absolutely had to.

"May I ask where you got your hands on such a weapon?"

He was not sure what to talk about but since she had now revealed herself to be at least something of a warrior then they had something in common and something he could talk about. His weapons were fairly simple and could have been made anywhere, not decorated with any symbols or any sign of special significane. Her blade on the other han was beautiful.

"What are the readers talking about? The graveyard looks perfectly normal." Lunar thought quietly in her mind.
She gazed out of the window, with a covered face so that she wouldn't get infected. As she stared, she could see the tombs that had been neatly carved with words. But there was a grave that was emty, and it was prepared for a corpse to be burried in it's depths. Then, the nurses who had taken away her sister, Winnia, came slowly and silently strolling through the graveyard, whilst carrying a coffin. Lunar knew who it was. It was Winnia. The flowers that crowded the wood of the coffin were sufficaing from the infected air, and lost their bright colours and turned a brownish colour. They placed her in the grave, with respect and care. Lunar was still crying. She mourned the dead greatly.

A few minutes later, after Winnia's buriel, Lunar walked out side to see her twin's grave. The words engraved onher tomb read:

"Through the light of heaven that god provides, we will always remember the blessed soul of Winnia Moon."p>
These words echoed in Lunar's mind. She soon become uncontrollable, something inside her was pushing, but Lunar was'nt controlling it. It charged her to raise her hand up to the thick material covering her face, and slowly remove it. It told her to hold her breath tight, and then quickly let go to inhale the air, when suddenly, someone from behind her was able to stop her. They had saved her life.

"What was controlling me? Maybe this was what the news reporters were talking about..." Lunar thought once again, after regaining control of her actions.

Her blade was a soft aqua colour that seemed to emit a tender glow. She nibbled on the bread she was given and dipped it in the tomato soup before bringing it back to her lips. It was delicious! Solace began taking bigger mouthfuls but not enough to seem rude.

"May I ask where you got your hands on such a weapon?"

She turned her head towards Sutoomu and stopped eating for a second. Solace looked distracted by the question and answered it simply.

"A friend"

She was quite blunt about it but she had to be really.Solace couldn't help it. She continued to munch on her food and refused to meet his eyes as he stared down on her.
