Most Powerful Character

Anyone have one character (from ANY rpg) that stands out among the rest as being a total powerhouse? Somebody who is RIDICULOUSLY powerful?

My answer was simple: Orlandu (FF Tactics)

Even when he first joins you, he is lightyears ahead of anyone else in your party. I could put him into battles by himself and he would be able to win almost no problem at all.

i have to agree with you there. Orlando is just completely insane and his class is the best, strongest, cheapest class in the game and with the excalibur he has haste with maked him even more deadly. The moment u gte him u basiclly beat the game so ya i would have to say orlando cid lol

*Well this is a unique thread,i like it this would really mess people up.id like to keep it alive and debate with others.sadly it has only one reply,maybe it got lost with all the new threads poping out!

*ok when we say "powerhouse" one person immediately comes to mind...SEPHIROTH!!!no contest here huh!hehehe well techincally you can control him for a little while so hes still a character right!

*the reasons...duh???did you ever see him fight?hes ultimately the baddest swords man who ever walked the gaming planet!he masters elemental spells to the max and he has an orthodox skill with the sword,what more can you ask for?

*Sephiroth may come to us as the ultimate soldier but he also has some weaknesses,first hes alone,he cant accomplish some things alone.second he can be outnumbered and outwited with a proper strategy to bring him down..probably a million warriors will be just enough to wear him down...but not kill him!hahaha

*a powerful chaarcter is driven by a purpose,Sephiroth is driven by revenge and a lillte bit of insanity!this is a lethal combination!especially when he vows to cleanse the world of humans and creating a world where only ancients live.

*Knowlegde is power,Sephirpoth is no dumb ambre,hes not the ultimate soldier if he didnt know a lot of tactics and information about his mission of his craft!he seems to be calm but always ready,steadfast and prepared for what may happen,this is a sign of a true powerful being,not like others who brag and shout out a challenge from others.Sephiroth is no fool and youd be a greater fool to challenge him.he has even the power to summon ancient monstrous weapons to fight for him!now thats what i call a pure powerhouse

*i would leave the rest to other Sephiroth fanatics and worshipers...

Lazlo/Hero IV from Suikoden IV in Suikoden Tactics. He's the average level of your party, sure. But his rune kicks major ass. He can literally clean house in the Obel Ruins if you have him tag along with you. And also, he can't die. Only withdraw from battle. So that's a major plus. He's considered a storyline character as well.

in game strength?

i would have to say squall, irvine and tidus. dealing multiple max damage in one attack. which makes it easy to defeat a monster.

overall strength?

squall cause he was able to lead the group. eventhough it ment losing his life he will still try and complete the mission.

Squall lost his life? At the end of the story it showed a party to celebrate Ultimicea's defeat, and Squall was there. Anyways he was far from the strongest. The monsters in FFVIII are the weakest monsters in the series.

In my opinion, the strongest character would have to be Auron. Even though I don't quite like FFX I still recognize that he is one of the strongest if not the strongest.

the monsters were also based on how powerful the characters they will make. i think its still not clear if squall died or not. you're exagerating if you say he is far from the strongest. oh well thats your opinion. don't really care. ^^

just shared my opinion. don't get all hyped bout it.

What do you mean its not clear if he died or not? It shows him at the very end kissing Rinoa.

Anyway...Im gonna have to go with Auron...cuz he pretty much had to decide for himself when he would die. Can't get any stronger than that...

The only ridiculously overpowered character I can think of offhand is T.G. Cid. That amount of power compared to the rest of your characters is just unreal, man. I didn't even use him my first time through because he made the game so overwhelmingly simple - just equip him with his Excalibur and run around and Holy Explosion everyone to death, and use Night Sword if you need healing. Damn, dude.

Sorry if you thought I was attacking you or your opinion, I didn't mean any offense. Anyways, as Viator said Squall didn't die, it shows him at the end.

no problem. i just shared to you one thread that i red from this forum. they were talking bout if squall really died or not. and most of them said they did'nt know.

anyway, in ff x i will also go with auron. with his tough guy attitude and nice attacks.

I agree with you Cyrus. Orlandu is definitely one of the most powerful character's in any videogame I've ever played. He's got Excalibur, Good Armor, and is a Holy Swordsman!!! He has Holy Explosion, Dark Sword, Night Sword, etc. and his attacks are really strong compared Ramza or anybody else in your party.

Another person I have to say is Beatrix(FFIX). She's really strong and always knocks the shit out of your party everytime you face her. She has Shock, Holy, White magic, and has good defense and strength overall.

There are a two I have in mind. First Orlandu. He was an awesome character and once you got him you pretty much beat the game with just him. He is that good. He can heal himself with Dark Sword. He can heal his Mp with Night Sword I believe. (I don't know why he would want to. He doesn't need mp to do his attacks.) He is powerful all around plus he has Excalibur which gives him auto haste which is a big plus. Another character that comes to mind would have to be Fou-lu from Breath of Fire IV. You get to use him multiple times and he is super strong especially when you get his later dragon forms. He comes equipped with the best weapon and armor and at a really high level plus he is also the last boss. I think that he was really strong. He also survived the Corranade which could destoy entire cities. I don't know how that one guy defeated him even if he was really weak at the time from just waking up. I could have kept destroying his monsters for a long time.
