What's your favorite game company and why?

i like Sony Computer Entertainment and Square enix because they are good in improving the graphics, offering good and interesting games and has a lot of advanced features... nothing i just like them!!

I would have to say nintendo cuz I play a lot of games taht Nintendo made. I can't wait for Brawl either.

i have to go with square enix just for all the awsome rpgs they have gave me the pleasure of playing over the years

The last 5 -6 posts were all bordering on spam, i won't warn any of the current posts but any more in this thread will see straight warnings, keep that in mind before you post. I mean how hard is it to write a few lines on why you like a game company.

Square Enix, Nippon Ichi, koei, and Jagex.
Square Enix - Well, they took the RPG genre, and pushed it to its limits, and far, far beyond. Every single game by them I have played has been full of brilliant ideas, characters, locations... and generally anything else that can be found in any game. They manage to make RPGs feel like classics, yet also brilliantly new and different, at the same time.

Nippon Ichi - What can I say? I love Tactical RPGs. And Nippon ichi's are funny, adictive, and they draw you in. The characters are believable, and unrealistic at the same time. The gameplay too is very good, although the graphcs in their games...

Koei - Mostly for helping make the Nippon ichi games. But I must say, I do like some of the Dynasty Warriors games.

Jagex - They have only made one game, Runescape, as far as I know. And I am a big fan of it. It is one of the few MMORPGs I have played and enjoyed, mostly because there is so much to do.

Rare,




Dosn't it speak for itself, not just have they released more games then most other companies, but every single one was awesome. Seriously can you think of a rare game that was less then a 9/10, I can't. Conker's BFD, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Banjo-Tooie, Jet Force Gemini, Diddy Kong Racing. I mean come on. Recently however they seem to have slipped in quality, obviously the golden age of Rare was the N64. I can't help but wonder if the creative stuff was fired when it was taken over by microsoft. Look at how much worst they've gotten since then. I was hoping the true Rare would be around forever.

When it comes to turn based strategy games he made the best one ever made (Civilization) and he made many other very good ones.

UBISOFT for naruto rise of a ninja and ghost recon advanced warfighter 1&2
STEAM/VALVE for half life 1 and 2 and episodes and all them other fun games
2K games for BIOSHOCK
BUNGIE FOR HALO, HALO 2 and HALO 3 and soon to be HALO wars

The ones i would say that stand alone are

Square Enix- because of Final fantasy
Konami- Becuase of games like Metal Gear Solid
Ubi Soft- becuase they are easly the most underrated game company ever and cause they make splinter cell.

there are alot others that deserve attention and some that dont.

squaresoft /square enix - simply because i havent found many games published by them that i havent loved. good storys, graphics have always been up, always push the envelope, plus game play is almost always natural and simplistic.
