   | We talking publishers or developers here? I think in terms of developers, one company that I have never lost any faith in: Treasure - In my opinion, one of the greatest developers ever. Have these guys ever made a bad game? or even an average one? Treasure is made up of ex Konami staff who came to be known for developing the Contra and Castlevania series. They went on to create some of the most memorable action and shooter titles from Gunstar Heroes, Silhouette Mirage, Radiant Silvergun to Ikaruga. Other than treasure, I admire a lot of other great developers. A lot of Nintendo's inhouse development companies (as Kirk pointed out), Sega's too, Tri-Ace, Clover Studios (R.I.P.  ), Silicon Knights, Camelot, Bioware, HAL, Level 5, Monolith Software, Quintet (R.I.P. ), Kojima Productions, and Rare (among many)

| I am going to say Konami because although Sqaure Enix make my favourite game series (Final Fantasy) and another Gem Kingdom Hearts, Konami make Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid and Pro Evolution Soccer which all three are in my top five favourite game series of all time I also like Capcom aswell

| My two picks: Blizzard: Starcraft. That is all that you need to know. It's a big plus that (on the surface, at least) they appear to actually care about their customers. They're still releasing patches for Starcraft 10 years after the game came out. Now that's commitment. Despite the fact that they only really care about World of Warcraft nowadays (and the fact that there's been no official mention whatsoever about a Starcraft 2), they're still a great company. Interplay/Black Isle Studios: Two words: Baldur's Gate. Or, more specifically, Baldur's Gate 2, which is (besides Starcraft and FF6) the greatest game ever. Any company that is willing put the evident amount of time and effort that was put into BG2 deserves respect. Oh, and I almost forgot: Fallout, anyone?  | ||||||||

| It used to be Squaresoft, back when it was still just Squaresoft and they still went for quality over quantity. Nowadays though, I consider their output to be mostly mediocre apart from the Final Fantasy series. I wish they would spend more resources on making some original quality games rather than the endless list of spin-offs and remakes. I'll have to go with BioWare. Quality games down the entire line, and so far it does not look like that's going to change in 2007. Quote:

| Square-enix...not only for final fantasy but for kingdom hearts too....and dragon quest that...looks interesting XD (never played it) And Konami for its MGS...simply perfect XD (althought it isnt better than FF...but i guess thats impossible)...and Ubisoft, for Prince of Persia...and ohers XD

| Hmmm.. Let's see here. Konami: For Castlevania, SNES Batmans, and the better soccer games. Capcom: Most of their games suck imo, but I liked Mega Man and Street Fighter. Squaresoft: Final Fantasy until it went overboard with VIII. HUMAN entertainment: Clock Tower. It's one of the scariest games of all time. Nintendo: Super Mario Bros. ftw Rare: Killer Instinct and the Donkey Kong Country games. Sunsoft: For a cool Sega Genesis Batman game. I can't think of any others | ||||||||

Insomniac: For rachet and clank, resistance fall of man. Maxis: For SimCity, The Sims 2 and all of the expansion packs. Retro Studios: For metroid prime. Konami: For Contra. SNK: For Metal Slug. Bungie Studios: For Halo.

| Mostly Nintendo. I've been a huge fan from the beginning of my "gaming experience" with Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, Mario Cart & of course, most of all, Pokemon... Of course, it's always Squaresoft & later on Square Enix. I wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for FF VII. Anyways, it's not as good as it used to be, but whatever. | square enix because of final fantasy.They did a great job.. Maxis for the sims series..the games release my stress and are fun Koei for all the fighting games I bought..I usually play this kind of games when I'm not in the mood.. Konami for its great games..I don't remember all of them since I focussed on ff and the sims.. but Konami's games are fun and good

| I have a few favourites actually! Square/Square-Enix: Obviously I'd say them because of the Final Fantasy series. Without them, we wouldn't have this forum to visit. What a wonderful series FF is. It's so much fun. Maxis: Well I have been a fan of Maxis for quite a few years now. I used to love games like SimAnt, SimCity, SimCopter, SimTower and many others. I still play some of them to this day. They are very entertaining and are quite challenging. They are also the creator of The Sims. The Sims would have to be one of my favourite games, it's very addictive and fun. Nintendo: I haven't played a lot of Nintendo games since I've only had a Gameboy and Nintendo DS in my life so far but Nintendo make some very good games. What would we do without them? Sega: Well they created Sonic so why not?  | ||||||||

| My favorite video game companies are Konami because they have made Metal Gear Soild 1-3 and Zone of the Enders, Square-Enix because of Final Fantasy, Kingdon Hearts, and Star Ocean Til the End of Time.
