Haha, I wouldn't. But I was just saying. I'm not one that's for suicide anyhow.
Nor blasphemy. Or would being Agnostic fall under being Blasphemic? I wouldn't know because I don't really take the time to look these things up.

I just picked Agnosticism because Agnostica sounds cooler than Christmas and it was the closest thing to my beliefs.

Tonight, I come to you not as a Phoenix Knight nor as an Ambassador.
Tonight, I come to you as the organizer of the Tournament of Arms.

I have an idea. Due to the mass amount of animosity between the clubs as of late... why not fight one another where it really counts -- the official battlefield itself, for the title of Champion of Arms?

The latest thread to grace the TOA forum has all the information any inquiring minds may need. Vital information, at a glance, is that your organization will need to be willing to supply its four best fighters for the tournament come January. If you are interested, feel free to hit up that discussion topic with any questions or concerned. I hope that all four organizations will be willing to participate. There is much time for practice, should you need it.

(I know this is definitely something you all will want to have, should you be interested in participation. I would really enjoy seeing an SoI team in the tournament.)

I like the idea. Unfortunately, it may be difficult for us to gather four able members, and I don't want the club to opt out and be replaced by another. Of course, January is quite a whiles away. I'm sure we'll manage.

TGO and I need another sparring match.

Actually, I'm sure you can. I remember one or two saints who followed a life of impurity before redeeming himself late in his life. As long as the person is truly willing to repent, he will be forgiven, I suppose. I don't know about suicide, but I believe there was some long painful process of relinquishing one's self of mortal sins.

Well, that's the idea. January IS a long way away, and even if your club goes in and loses, it's supposed to be fun all the same. It'll just give one organization bragging rights over the others for a while, but it's something to pass the time.

Besides, who knows? You could always come out the victors. Life has a strange way of favoring the underdogs. There's plenty of time for training, no?

Thanks!

Thanks for allowing me in the SoI. I haven't had a chance to check what's been going on for a while so hear goes. As T.G.O. stated my answers were a bit lacking so here is the expanded version.

1. Yes, without a doubt. Saving a family the grief of losing a loved one is one of the kindest things you can do for a human. yes, my family would grieve, but they would eventually come to understand.
2.Yes, I'm a little green around the edges but with instruction in such things as RPs, I will be able to do well.
3.I don't realy practice any particular religion. However I do believe there is a power higher than myself and I try to serve the greater good.
4.Yes. Respect and understanding can be a hard thing to come by these days, but from what I've seen within the club it will be no problem.

By the way I saw a side discussion of what hell is. I believe the hell is simply a place where you are seperated from God. That is what I have gathered from the Bible.

Excellent. And maybe...we just might have our third member for the SoI RPB team. I'm not forcing you or anything, just threatening to take your soul away should you not cooperate.

TGO, since you should be getting back on your computer by now (curse your absence during weekends), I'll go ahead and create a sparring match RPB thread between you and me without your consent. I hope you have the time. (Character link).

That sounds pretty freakin cool. As stsated in my answer to question 3 in the intro, I'm green around the edges. I have absolutely NO experience in way of RPBs. But I learn quickly and have been told I have a talent for writing, so after I get the gist there shouldn't be a problem. In fact I'm writing a paper for mythology while I'm typing this.

@Anomaly: How about a sun-sized light bulb? Or an X-Box-size lightbulb? 'Cuz, remember, there's gargantuan, there's colossal, and...

THERE'S X-BOX HUEG!!!!!

...erm, I assume you might not get the joke, but that has been a long-running Internet joke.

Anyways, good point, the one you posted. Indeed, the intentions of the writers, or the translators in that sense, were probably to focus on the aspect of a fearsome God, in order to describe the need for respect. By fearing God, we would eventually respect him. Of course, the definition of fear these days has changed so much, that what in that moment was known as fear may no longer be what we consider fear.

When I was explained about that concept, the concept of parental respect, parental reverence, and accepting the decisions of our parents, as a way of understanding.

@Piro: You might repent for your deeds in the last moment of your life, but only he knows if the atonement was real or not. Humans may hear from the words that the person repented, but his heart may not have truly repented.

Also, you consider yourself an Agnostic...in what sense. I have only the foggiest clue about it, as a person who simply does not believe in what any religion states out. If I had a better idea, perhaps I'd be in a better position to answer. And, I would like it to be your own vision of Agnosticism, not the general definition.

@Tidus: Welcome, then. I expect to hear a lot from you. Feel free to express what you believe, and hope we can learn from you, as well as you learning from us.

@Kaitou: Is that your new character? 'Cuz, I was kinda wondering...would you allow me to use another character, a one-use character at that? If Cesar hears this, I'd like his opinion on the matter. I'm trying to see if I can use the ranger I was using in a D&D campaign, a kinda half-werewolf.

Have you even thought of what you say? You are setting us in a very tough situation, and probably forging an alliance before the ToA even started. 'Cause, of all things, you wouldn't want the BoD to gain those bragging rights. And, as far as I have seen, my style and the Masters' style is one you tend to disapprove... I just don't want to think about what if they managed to win... You wouldn't be able to withstand their biggotry, and the entire forum might get overannoyed by their ranting. It's like a recipe for disaster...

Yeah, I wanted to create a character more appropriate for the 'Light-side' SoI team. Feel free to use whatever character you desire.

Yes, I think of what I say. I know that saying "even if you lose" might sound a bit downspoken, but it was supposed to have more of a reverse psychology effect. "Well now we'll just have to prove him wrong" was more of the response I'd hoped to gather from that, perhaps garnering more interest from the other members as well. Guess not.

As for the BoD having more bragging rights, no, I don't want that. I mean, not that it really matters to me one way or the other, but all the same... If Alucard wins his fight against Psiko, then they'll have FOUR members who have each won a tournament. That's a lot of members. Though two of those "victors" technically never won -- it was from a tournament which never saw its end, and was declared a tie/victory simply because the other judges had all disappeared and blah blah yada yada... they technically only have one true tournament victor at this point in time, and that's Guts/SATAN/whatever his name is now.

As for us "disapproving" of your writing style, that's completely untrue. You ALMOST emerged victorious in your fight with Psiko. It was a long debate, I promise you that much. The only thing that gave him the winning edge was that his writing was a bit more coherant -- there were times during which some of your writing conflicted itself or became vague. He was more precise. That's it. Period. You didn't lose because you're a bad writer; you lost because you were out-written. That's when you go back and out-write the other guy next time.

And since you mention Anomaly, same went for him and Overdriven. Tough, tough decision to make.

I know you've been waiting forever for me to give you an in-depth report on precisely why you lost, and I'm sorry that I still haven't gotten around to it. But, if you want the skinny, that's it right there. He's just been doing it for years longer and has more experience. The more you write, the better you become. That's all there is to it. Be just a little more detailed and keep better track of the visualizations of the scene, and I've got no doubt in my mind that you can win the next tournament. To be entirely honest, I kinda had you pegged to go to the finals in this one. I wanted to see it happen. I happen to rather enjoy your writing, whether you care to believe that or not.

@ everyone else: The actual conversation in that TOA discussion thread has changed drastically. I know Kaitou has seen it already. I'm thinking of dropping the club thing simply because there are more people complaining about it than there are people supporting it. Between the posts in that thread, the discouraging PMs in my inbox, and the messages I get outside the forum, it seems like the majority doesn't want the club-based tournament. Too many people would "miss out." It's technically still up for debate, but the newer ideas seem to have almost complete support thus far.

And as for this, I've no objections. Could be fun.

I've actually read your ToA thread, TGO. I have to say ..quite impressive. My chances of winning our sparring match are minimal. But hey, it's all in good fun and practice, right? I'm sure I'll learn quite a few things from this.

I rather like the newer ideas myself. The club-based tournament was still a great idea though. Perhaps you're still willing to hold that small tournament? Or maybe just have the club leaders sort it out between each other.

Well, coming from you, it didn't exactly give that kind of motivation. I agree with you that we're the underdogs. The club has not touched on RPing since a year ago and our membership is minimal. I did, however, want to see what we could do should we try, without winning as the goal.
