2 all: Nice everyone is finally coming back! I guess we can finally get things going, everything has slowed down a lot since Kaitou and Kuradic were away. I guess you guys had a great '06?

Since '07 is in, what new things can we come up with for the club?

To Tidus: Hey Tidus where did Deca go? Maybe I should reply to his RP post from last year, possibly that would gets his attention to get on. What happened? Hope he didn't forget about us.. :3

Well...interests are up and running...I'll cook up the OOC as soon as possible, maybe today if I'm lucky.

@Kai: You better!!!! Arrek was getting bored with all of the inactivity. Feels like the time when he was trapped in the lich's dungeon...actually, that's where the campaign ended. Sorta.

@Tidus: Well, I have absolutely no idea of how much it can be sold. Sorry, man. My best guess is on the <$40 range, though I might be wrong.

And...you might seem to have hard classes, but try to beat repeating Physical Chemistry and Calculus III, plus having Physics II (and the beauty of circuits). Hope this semester's good for ya.

@Suzu: New stuff? Well, I'll cook the RP for ya, that's new. Not many ideas running on my mind right now.

Well guys...I am proud to inform you that the RP OOC has been succesfully made!!! Go and post your character profiles as soon as possible. We shall be starting after I get about 3 or 4 people, so you guys still have time to idealize your characters.

Too bad about Deca...get his lazy seat buttocks in here!!! Well...at least once...

@Tidus: Congrats. Now enjoy your Fable. Steer clear from the Skormites...not the good guys. And make sure to make us proud by having the full Bright Full Plate suit of armor...or it's equivalent...

TGO: Trust me I will. I've played part way through on my dad's XBOX while i was there over the summer. I HATE HOBBES!!! I might also decide to get Warcraft three, but onyl after im done with Fable.

I'm preparing ot post my character right now in the RP. Also I don't think I can persuade Deca to come back. I think he's trying to find his place in the world. Of course I am too, but that's another story.

Also, can anybody help me out with the whole factoring polynomials thing. The darn things are what caused me to fail the college placement test the first time, and they haven't got any easier

Meh...Hobbes get annoying at the beginning, but wait until you get something lke Enflame, Strength lv. 4 and loads of armor...Hobbes get you wonderful degrees of exp. and rise up the chains to about 20. I think I reached 19 or 20 in the chains once. Anyways, what'cha planning to do once you get to play Fable on your PC? A warrior, a nimble guy or a spellcaster? If you have any interest on what kind of character I played, well, it was mainly a warrior with the healing spell, the protection spell, and both area spells (Enflame and Force Push).

On factoring polynomials...that I'm not quite in touch, but usually you can try one of various strategies:

1) Try to see if the polynomial is a perfect square or perfect cube. Perfect cubes are harder to notice, but they usually have easier results.

2) If not, then see if it is easily factorizable. That mostly works on 2nd-order polynomials (quadratics, I think?).

3) "Completing the circle" also works. That means, a polynomial not a perfect square can be "made" into a perfect square. Say, for example:

x^2 + 6x + 3.

If you were to add +6 to the +3, that'll make a +9, and that completes the perfect square. So, if you add 6, and then subtract 6, you can justify factoring by perfect square:

(x^2 + 6x + 3) + 6 - 6 -> (x^2 + 6x +9) - 6 -> ((x+3)^2) -6

...that's as far as I can remember.

I, hopefully, practice it in my speech, actions and manner, every day.

Who better for tolerance than fellow philosophers, thinkers, believers and seekers of illumination? Besides, I am not one to be easily bruised, neither by what is said nor to whom it is said.

I might say, with humility, that I am something of an accomplished writer/poet. I have written published works, both of the poetic and fictional variety, extensive Fan Fictions, a 3.8 Horticulture Major with a Literature minor. I have RPed in the past, though it has been a while.

At any rate, If you would have me as a member, then any service I can provide of any nature, is yours.

Hello fellow members, and member hopefuls.

Sorry I haven't posted my character yet, I'm taking a deadly crash course in computer repair, and must vanquish the viral foe before it reaches the core of my system. (been out buying blank cds, and backing up all that i can in case I have to reformat, and wipe the hard drive.

As soon as my computer is clean again (don't worry I'm using a friends right now), I will post my character, and be ready to go.

OmniTense: You will have to wait for Suzu's ok, or in the event that Suzu is unavailable, T.G.O or Kaitou before you can be accepted.

Pardon the completely non-topical interruption, but this is a Copy & Paste announcement to each of the three existing factions.

The January 2007 Tournament of Arms is officially underway. Please proceed to the TOA forum for information regarding the tournament. At the time of this post, the character and environment threads are not yet up.

I am hoping to get a full 16 participants for the tournament, so dust off those cobwebs and prepare for battle! I look forward to seeing how you've all improved since the last tournament.
