 | My guess is that they are meaning two years after FF's release they started working on the game. The world does look slightly similar but I have heard absolutely nothing about them being related.

 | They aren't. FFX was in Spira. FFXII is set in Invalice (The setting of the FFTA game) And I doubt Square-Enix would make another blunder by trying to connect FFX to another game. After FFX-2, they smartened up.

 | Yeah, although the worlds do look quite similar, Saix is right... it's set in Invalice. A completely different world from Spira. Nor is it related to FFX in any way. I doubt thet they'll make anything else with FFX.
