TFF Awards 2006!!! - Nomination round

Although it goes without saying for most of these posts, might I request that when nominating someone, you use their full username rather than names or nicknames? I know that the entire staff and half the forum knows my name is Cesar, but that doesn't mean everyone does. Just a suggestion.



Best staff member - Cain Highwind and Dawezy, two long-time supermods who have done great things for this forum for years.

Most popular - Hmm... Chez Daja seems pretty hip with the kids.

Most helpful - In terms of forum stuff, Dawezy; in terms of videogame stuff, awall.

Most intelligent - awall and Sasquatch are smart guys.

Best lurker - Merlin, because he still lurks while managing to post sometimes. Our true best lurkers read every week and yet don't post for months or years on end, but because of that, they sorta... lurk too much for an award.

Most Old Skool - psiko and Cain Highwind immediately come to mind.

Biggest camera whore - OceanEyes28 and Valentine89 post a ton of pictures. Being a camera whore isn't so bad though, really!

Nicest male - Alucard, when you get past the shady exterior and actually sit down and talk to the guy, he's quite nice. Rather creative and ambitious too. Wish I could be more like him sometimes.

Nicest female - BLANK LOL

Funniest male - Guts has spearheaded some of the most amusing personality changes I've ever seen.

Funniest female - Chez Daja is a funny spamwhore. I mean... person.

Most sarcastic member - Between Bunny and Lover Boy.

Most attractive male - That Ecks kid is pretty hot for a guy.

Most attractive female - Mariko is such a pretty lady.

Most random or bizarre - With focus on random, darkViVi; bizarre would be Guts, but in a good way.

Best roleplayer - Anomaly is someone I've had my eye on lately, and he shows quite a creative mind as well as a good sense of story. Andromeda has always been good, and has only gotten better over these past few years. Excellent roleplaying isn't always about impeccable grammar.

Best Club - I understand some of the entertainment value the Brotherhood of Doom provides, but I've got to go with longevity on this one. My money's on The Old Skool Cult of Kefka, a merger of two of the longest-running clubs on the forum. Sorry, but I'm a sucker for old school.

Best TFF Couple - If we're talking about real couples here, then OceanEyes28 + Lover Boy and Lady Luck + Rufus (Setzer) have my vote.

Now, in all seriousness, I will come back and edit these blank categories when I feel I have a choice for them. Some categories only have one choice thus far, and others don't have any at all. Not all of them are so obvious at the moment for me, so I'll need a little time to watch out for some of these things, neh?

Best staff member - This one is difficult, as all of our staff deserves recognition here. They all do an excellent job running the place and have stuck around here for so long. They've been through the good times and the bad times of TFF, and are still great at what they do. Ladies and gentlemen, since I can only vote for two, let the nominations fall to Cain Highwind and Dawezy!

Most popular - I feel like I'm in high school with this category. Especially because I never had any chance of winning this category back then, much less now. Doesn't hurt my feelings though, kids. LocoColt04 is the most obvious first choice here, because let's face it, he is friends with EVERYBODY. Probably because of the free blow jobs he gives to anyone who places him on their friend list. I know that is why I put him on there. Beyond that, OceanEyes28 is another that comes to mind very quickly. We all like her, and she doesn't even have to convince us with sexual favors.

Most helpful - This varies tremendously, really. There are so many ways to look at this, but I think I'll have to go with the forum-related viewpoint and nominate my two from that aspect. First off would be Neo Necron, moderator of the n00bs and leader of the n00b club. Every kiddie needs a big brother, and he is there to represent the best and worst of us! Second would have to be DragonHeart because of her Role-Player's Guide. After all, it was created to help those new to the forum learn how to fit in as a part of our Role-Playing community.

Most intelligent - Ah yes, the Kazanthikus Award. Since it has been clearly defined that he is ineligible for the award this year that leaves us all scratching our heads for quality candidates. I have the answer, people! When it comes to being smart, Tiffany jumps to mind almost instantly. And you know, once you get past the goofiness, Chez Daja is pretty intelligent as well, in my opinion.

Best lurker - Six months ago this award would have been all mine. I've changed, for some reason. Why I think I should post here instead of eternally browsing is beyond me. When it comes to lurking, DragonHeart has perfected it to an art form. And you know, Merlin is just as good these days with the lurkingness techniques.

Most Old Skool - Cain Highwind is, without question, the definition of Old Skool. And, for those of you who will scratch your head at this other nomination, I'll have to explain my reasoning. Back in the days (THAT makes me feel old, saying those words), rj Flow and I co-founded the Old Skool sub-forum. The fact that it flopped is irrelevant, that man is Old Skool like me. We're just cool like that, you know.

Biggest camera whore - This is so easy now that OceanEyes28 made that new thread. Looking at the links following each name you can see who posts pictures a lot. Obviously that thread-maker gets the first vote. Second I would have to give to cheesevixen, simply because Jet's single-pose doesn't count as multiple pictures. It does net him runner-up, though, which grants him a kick in the balls from Calamity Taco. Contact him via PM to arrange the time and date of payment. =P

Nicest male - There are a lot of nice people here. I do mean a LOT, so picking two guys is like trying to pick a favorite Xanth novel. There are so many to choose from, all worthy candidates, and you hate to neglect all the others that you don't get to pick. But, anyway, I shall have to say Cain Highwind as my first vote. That man radiates niceness. Second would be LocoColt04, just because he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He's had plenty of X-Rays, so we know they don't exist!

Nicest female - Again, very difficult to narrow the field down to just two people. Multiply the difficulty because I don't really converse much with the opposite gender here at TFF…yet. I'm slowly changing that, and so far I would have to say that OceanEyes28 and Tiffany seem to be the kindest kids around these parts.

Funniest male - I love to laugh, which is why this category is one of my favorites. I always seem to smile when I see the signature phrase of "Wuv, yer mom" from Calamity Taco, so he gets my first vote. Second would have to be Bunny because his sarcastic nature is rather amusing to me.

Funniest female - Before tonight I wouldn't have been able to nominate anyone for this, really. Chez Daja, this solo nomination is for you babe! Keep on laughing!

Most sarcastic member - As if anyone has a chance of beating Bunny for this award. There is no point in nominating anyone else.

Most attractive female - My goodness this is some serious competition here. While I must say you are ALL beautiful, the limit is two so I must keep it down. rydia_lover won my vote the first time I saw her signature, back when she was in the Rydia costume. Second goes to Chez Daja, because I love her hair and there is something about a girl wearing glasses that I like. She pulls it off wonderfully well.

Best roleplayer - Again, the competition level is intense for this category because there are so many who merit a nomination. Anomaly impressed me VERY much in the Tournament of Arms, and I was very disappointed that I didn't get to face him in the second round. Going right along with that, Alucard should get the other nomination as a potential winner of the 2006 Tournament of Arms. I look forward to the possibility of meeting him in the finals.

Most creative - I thrive on Creativity, which is apparent if you go read my Tournament of Arms posts. I love a person who utilizes innovation. Perhaps that is part of what originally appealed to me about Anomaly's posts in the Tournament of Arms. But this isn't just restricted to RPBing, because there is also the world of RPing. In that area, Andromeda gets my vote because, if you can filter through all the information in those posts, you'll find a LOT of neat ideas in there.
