What is Quinna!!??

Can somebody please help me here!? My friend has this game, and its really good, but I've got one question....

What the hell is Quinna!?

She's (I'm assuming that its a she) is the weirdest playable character in the game. And where does her tongue go when she closes her mouth?

Quina is a Qu. That's pretty much all the explanation you get from the game itself. Quina doesn't really have any story in the actual game, it's (they even call it s/he in the game) just kind of there. The only actual plot it has is opening Fossil Roo. That's it. The rest is just dumb little scenes that are mostly irrelevant.

Yeah...I don't like Quina. At all.

Quina also has another plot. When it goes with Zidane to the Earth Shrine when the party splits up into four groups of two.

The only reason I used Quina was frog drop while fighting Ozma.

I enjoyed having Quina around...I feel a lot of hostility towards Quina on these forums haha. Who did not like catching frogs?! And when he tries to use threats towards certain bosses in the game (earth shrine boss, etc.) it is just hilarious and not threatening at all. By the way I'm guessing Qu's don't have specific sexes since they refer to it as a s/he. The species might be hemaphroditic.

Yeah ive found that Quina is probably the weakest character out of the entire FF series, but strength isnt everything, you can get alot of good stuff from cathing frogs, plus another plot is that s/he reminds Vivi of his Grandfather and if ya look closer it connects the 2 characters to complete how they all meet and why they are fighting together, etc..... why quina even wanted to join in the first place, plus s/he likes to eat alot

Quina is a Qu...a race that lives only to eat.
Quina joins Zidane because with his traveling she/he can eat some food she could never see (on her continent),because Quina has the eat abilty.

I love Quina! I call her a she. Mainly cause she has like garments underneith when she falls over. She makes me laugh the way that she talks and the way that she want to eat everything. I got all her skills and best weapon. Shes is very usefull! I love Quina!

Whether Quina is a guy or girl is a mystery, a mystery well left alone.

I just think of Quina as a girl b/c of what she wears. She's part of the Qu family and looks exactly like all of the other Qu's. She looks similar to Vivi's "grandfather."

Other than that, all I know is Quina was my worst character, despite some good blue magic here and there.

Quina seemed to be that pointless character in FFIX that they just put in there to fill room on your roster.... Either that or they just didn't have time to give s/he a story or he/r own. Anybody else feel the same way?

Quina seemed really cool. And I know they did call it "s/he", but its a mystery for sure. I really like using its blu magic though.

Quina isn't a she or he, it's an "it," the story behind quina is that it is related somehow to Vivi but not by blood, Vivi's adopted grandfather was the leader of the Qu's, Vivi's grandfather died many years ago and Quina and Vivi grew up together however not either one of them know this though, don't ask me why cos I dunno. That's all I know really about Quina

I love Quina.
She is a cook and so am I, maybe that's why.
Or maybe, because she actually does what she wants, whenever she wants to do it and no one is going to stop her.
She knows the importance of friendship, though, and, even though she does what she wants, she still tags around and helps her friends out.

As you can see, I consider her a she, she wears a pink overcoat and slippers and a different hat style from the male Qus.

I wish the game would have the option to visit wherever is that the Qu tribe lives, you only get to see three Qus, in the whole of Gaia, even though they mention that they are a tribe, they must be somewhere, I wonder why they didn't get a location.

Meh, i'm kinda indifferent when it comes to Quina. It is capable of decent damage and learning blue magic is pretty cool, but if you're using it for physical attacks, it is the most random amound of damage I've ever seen in a FF game. So it's only good for blue magic i think, some of which is decent. Frog Drop was mentioned, but other than that matra magic, mighty guard, and white wind are some good spells to learn which can make it valuable. As far as the question of what Quina is....i don't really know. Just make it eat stuff and you'll be good to go.

I refer to Quina as "he", because the Qu who is with him at the beginning tells You "to take good care of him".
I liked his simple thinking because that sometimes made the other characters realise some things they could not see thanks to their "more complex" thinking.

Quina, a Qu from the mrashlands, A gourmade chef, First seen in Alexandria castle in the kicthens got people saying what with the big fat lard. Also She(I refer to her as She) was a part of the Festival of hunt, she is reffered too as Qu or Marsh creature,

Quina was a ueseful party member, very good for offensive magic, white wind was good and she was a pretty useful character. She loves food and there are many good qualities about her. She help Eiko cook aswell, very humorous character, better than most character relief actually,
