243 | lol um why yes it is my good man he is the original keyboardist for the final fantasy games lol the black mages was started up by him if you have msn i can send you some of their stuff if you like lol i have music that they have on dvds and cds that i bought when i was in malaysia so no harm there lol would you some of there stuff.

637 | Yeah, Nobuo is in charge of them. They do remixes of final fantasy music by adding a rock theme to them. I've heard them on AOL Radio before and they're pretty good with a few exceptions. They took FFVIIIs Maybe I'm a Lion and turned it into almost a metal song.

3,090 | I believe there is a similar thread back there but oh well. Anyway I have both the Black Mages albums, some of it is quite good like Matoyas Cave but some of it isn't as good like The boss music from FFVII (I Prefer the original). But like Powerglove it is pretty interesting to see video game metal.

114  | wow. Thank you for bringing this group to my attention. I've got 14 songs since i read this thread and i've yet to hear a bad one. (not a fan of the vocals though) They've got some talent on that guitar. and of course the keyboards. (Thats Nobuo, correct?)

1,075 | Well, indeed, the Black Mages are albums made from FF songs, and then turned into metal/hard rock. And yes, Uematsu-san is part of the band...I did forgot who was the other two people with him, and if anybody else was with them. Wait... (...goes and checks in Wikipedia...) ...well, after checking on Wiki, there are 6 members, one of them being Uematsu, and the names I forgot were Kenichiro Fukui and Tsuyoshi Sekito. I got their first album (well, ripped at most), and the song remakes are quite awesome. J-E-N-O-V-A from FFVII sounds like if they added some jungle background music into it, and they definitely shortened Dancing Mad from FFVI, while giving it an awesome solo at the final part of the song. The second album, which I didn't heard in its entirety, was less good than the original: the version of Otherworld was nice, until the vocals came. Ugh, what where they thinking?
