Green Day arent new, they formed in 1987 as Sweet Children and through the years became Green Day.

I hate all new rock bands, they all suck IMO, I cant think of a single good one. Im still living in the 70s - 80s Punk scene and 90's Grunge.

Rush "Permanent Waves" is such a monumental album although most listeners give "2112" and "Moving Pictures" more of go since they are more accessible.

I like all music and there are good new bands tucked away in most of the waste that permeates the music scene.

I love the new rock scene... well mainly the Brittish stuff, i'm not much of a fan of much of the new rock coming out of the states (no offence ment to anyone). The whole new indie and alternative music scene is really breathing life into music again. During the 90s, there were some great britpop bands, though not much happened if the likes of Blur, Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve and Steriophonics are forgotten.

Anyway, the new rock bands (2000 onwards) I like are:

Boy Kill Boy
Dandy Warhols
Franz Ferdinand
The Frattelis
The Futureheads

I wasn't too in on the new one from the Futureheads but maybe I need to give it a go. The Artic Monkeys are weird because to some extent their overrated and their attitudes suck (Or at least at this year's SWSX they did) but I kinda like their music you know.

Kasbian, Arcade Fire and the Zutons are faves of mine.

Ah very cool band, I like their Queen-like interludes. Like Comeback Kid, Stretch Armstrong and Chiodos, a post-hardcore band I have to admit I actually like.

I dunno. I like some of the newere stuff that's come out within the past year or two... or three.. I'm not really sure who long it's been. Bands like A Wilhelm Scream (some kind of punk/metal hybrid... although don't quote me on that. I don't want the metal kids to get angry at me if they aren't metal) The Epoxies (a kind of indie-pop punk band with a chick for lead singer.) are pretty cool.
