what is better family guy or the simpsons?

Which one would you guys say is better? family guy or the simpsons? i would definetly say family guy is alot better than the simpsons even though the simpsons has been around a lot longer. Family guy is alot funnier cause it just doesnt make any sense what so ever and it takes the piss out of almost every show and the american culture in general. agree or disagree?

Family Guy. The Simpsons were great in their day, but they've consistently gone downhill over the past few years. Tons of non-plot consistent gags or not, Family Guy is ****ing hilarious.

Simpsons all the way! The Simpsons is legendary and every episode is great to watch, dont get me wrong Family Guy is also great but Simpsons just beats the crap out of it

The Simpsons always struck me as stale compred to Family Guy. There is obviously no absolute answer, but as far as opinion goes, I prefer Family Guy. I will admit however, I have not seen early episodes of the Simpsons.

I would say the simpsons because they are funny but I have never seen family guy but to me the trailer for that was silly and stupid no offence lol.

I would probably have to vote for the Simpsons. I have liked them since I was young and I still like watching them to this day. I'm not too keen on the new episodes but the old ones are so cool. I love Family Guy as well but I reckon some of the humour in that is a little too crude for my liking. The Simpson's is a lot more mild and I still find it entertaining. I love American Dad too, I wish they were still showing that here on television.

It is really hard for me to really debate on the two. They have so many good qualities. The Simpsons have been around forever, and they have been on eof the only cartoons to really say that about. I can understand there running out of idea though, and Family guy is something new to come along an take the place. Family guy was a cancelled show, but the best thing about it is that they back up what the characters say by giving you hilarious flashback that are very often comical. The simpson's have just been around so long people are starting to expect what is going to happen an the plot points an all. The Halloween episodes used to be so much more, and that was their top grossing day, but now it has gotten a little to mediocre. Family Guy is a fresh breath of air, and it is a relief to the audience. Now if only they can get Futuramma back in action than we would have a more up to date gamble. The thing is that the Simpson's air every night, and not even the good ones. It is hard to stay that entertained with something that only comes out with another episode every Sunday when all week you have been watching the same things over an over again. People wait for Family Guy, they get more excited about it.

right i would definetely have to say family guy for me that is so funny and plus it has stewie in it, who can't love stewie lol and brian, i own all the family guys and i love every episode and the movie was just great
but simpsons i find that boring and repetitive....
but family guy is always ready for new ideas and they are up to date with all their phrases, jokes and stuff whereas simpsons are a little behind and family guy is so funny they acctually make jokes seem sick but really it comes out absolutely clean. Sure simpsons does taht but not in the funny way that family guy does.... i mean peter is just so stupid you have to laugh at him, lois is just as stupid but in a gentler way, chris is so dumb that he says "i am so hungry i could ride a horse" and then a moment later says "i don't get it" + he has an evil monkey in his closet lol, meg is just a stuck up snob and thinks she is the best at everything but really she is just an ugly stuck up B**ch, then you have brian the dog, he is always hammered and he hangs round with stewie so you know he is stupid he is so sarcastic that it is unbelievable, then last but not least you have stewie the best character in family guy he wants "world domination" and he wants his mother dead. Lois once told him a story that the doctor said he was the happiest baby when he was born then stewie followed by "of course that was my victory day that was the day i escaped your womb" lol he is saying all this and he is only 1 and 2 in the new ones...

I used to like the Simpsons back in the day, i watched it every sunday. I think the Simpsons are getting too old... they have used up pretty much every funny scenerio possible so its time for them to give it a rest. Family Guy is no dought funnier show right now, but give it a couple years and Family Guy wont be funny any more.
