I Wanna Play This and I Dont

Ok, so I really wanna play Tactics/Tactics Advance but everytime I play the first hour or two of it, I get really fed up because it gets so boring, but I feel I have to finish these games in order to finish my quest to complete every Final Fantasy possible, so please give me some good reasons why I should play this game to try and make me get into it more.

Thanks.

it has great story and alot of strategy is involved in the moves you make so you gotta think and plan. FFTA is easier than FFT so you may want to beat that first or just go right into FFT.

they have a point, tactics has a really rich plot and story it's actually kinda interesting, but it's not that bad once you figure out everything, you can make the battles go easier

FFTA is really good, fighting with millions of different strategies. Kinda reminds me of FF Tactics.

Alright, I sort of had the same problem when I got the games. The thing about the game is it has A LOT of shit you have to learn and the beginning of the game doesn't really explain how to use it. I mean you can do tutorials, but they also take WAY too long. The best way to really get the hang of the game is understanding the class system, how to level up both jobs and your character, and learning the best tactics in fighting certain creatures or other classes. For example, archers are pretty useful against monks and whatever. Knights can pretty much own any magic users. But you get the point. Learn the strengthes and weaknesses of your classes and just try to get use to how to do everything.

It takes awhile to get the hang of as well so don't suspect to learn everything in one or two turns.

FFT was probably the most overwhelming game at first that I played back in the day. It also soon became my favorite FF of all time. FFTA was OK, but I am still hoping for a full fledged console sequel.

BTW, first post!

My first tactic before Hoshigami and Legend of Kartia... The storyline rocks
the jobs are unique. I'm going to treasure the forever...

Ok so I was dissapointed with FFT / FFTA... with all the AI in the game... you would think that they would have a final boss tougher than one of the optional dungeon bosses... but when you log in so many hours (for me it was 7 weeks straight at 10+ hours a day) you would think that the boss would be a hard SOB... not the case... I beat the final boss in 3 hits... 3!!!
So I am slightly / sorly dissapointed with that series of games... but have to give kudos to an old time beginner FF game called FF mystic Quest for the SNES because that is a great game to start the FF experience if you have never played it.

FFT is really a great game. The job system is really good because you can decide what you want your characters to be. From a Black Mage to a Knight or even to a Ninja, its your decision on how you want to raise your characters. The storyline seems pretty decent and best of all Cloud from FFVII is in there as well. The bad thing is probably the tutorials, which are way too long, and you can only travel on a map. Overall though is that I would highly recommend you to play this game.
