Mother gets fourty years for child abuse.

CINCINNATI, Ohio (AP) -- A woman who molested at least one of her five children and prompted four of them to have sex with each other has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Robin Kraft, 26, had pleaded guilty in June to two charges of rape and four counts of child endangering. Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge David Davis on Friday imposed the maximum sentence, saying Kraft should not be released from prison while she can bear children.

Prosecutors said the children have been psychologically harmed.

"These children were not beaten, there were no cuts or stabs, but the way these kids act now after living with this woman requires prolonged treatment to be normal, if ever," said Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Mark Piepmeier.

Prosecutors said Kraft and her husband, Paul Kraft, 32, sexually abused their four sons and one daughter, ages 1 to 6, in 2004.

In March, Paul Kraft received five life sentences on five rape charges and 96 additional years on 12 charges of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor. He is ineligible for parole.

Prosecutors say Paul Kraft encountered an undercover Secret Service agent last March in an Internet chat room called "baby and pre-teen sex."

In an online exchange, Kraft offered to rape his 3-year-old daughter live on the Internet if another person would do the same so Kraft could watch, prosecutors say. The agent contacted Hamilton County sheriff's deputies, who arrested Kraft at home.

The children were placed in foster care. They had limited language skills at the time, but developed enough to tell authorities what happened to them, prosecutors said.

Does anyone know or think they know how someones mind would work while doing this? Its just SO WRONG.

Whats even worse is that you worry about how many other people are out doing this, the father was said to be in an internet chatroom called "pre-teen and baby sex"

Also, I'd like to know what everyone thinks about the U.S laws and courts.

Its good to see sentences like that handed down. Nowadays, a lot of sexual offenders get a slap on the wrist and a stern talking to.

How could one say they are bad? You sort of need them. They do some things right, some things wrong, some things ahead of its time, some things deep in tradition. The courts have been the more progressive sector of government recently, and for that they are probably the best run branch as of now.

I bet you the percentage of children being molested 20-30 years ago has most likely doubled in the present era, so don't be surprised at mothers or fathers sexually abusing their children for sake of either insanity or greed. The problem is it has grown so much greater than before that it's pretty much difficult to stop. No one ever notices this happening either until the last minute when the child will already be changed in the worst ways. If anything, schools should run check-ups without parental consent and seriously crack down on this. It IS disguisting, it IS wrong, it IS destroying the youth of our future for a trivial inch of pleasure.

Hell, you turn on the TV and watch it everyday, especially the news, I'm sure you could find some case of child abuse or children/adults coming out of the shadows and talking about their child abuse.

As for the U.S. Laws, it works decently until some rich asshole gets 6 super professional lawyers and brings your ass down. The system is so easily persuaded with greed. And the jury is filled with biased or replaced with others who were bribed. You need a huge ass sword to defend yourself in court nowadays (and metaphorically speaking). But yeah, a lot of offenders get off easy because of their lawyers...it's pathetic.

I think the law should take a very harsh approach towards these sick, sick people. There's NO excuse for this crap. Those children may never recover from this...but I really hope they do.

I read it and I just felt sick, it gets me worried to have children. Theres no way you can watch your child 24/7 and I wouldnt want to nor should I have to.

Personally, I think its stupid that the U.S courts sit and give someone 96 years in Jail for something and then say another 100 to add onto that. No one is going to live until they're 100 lets face it. Especially in jail.. Although at the moment I feel as though they have it pretty easy.
I just think.. Is sitting and rotting in jail really enough punishment for sick people like this? And not just talking about child molesters.
I know theres the death penalty in some States and Im kind of open minded about the whole thing. Yes they deserve a huge ass punishment but I think, again, death is just too easy.

You want to hear something disgusting. An australian mother drowned her children, ages 7, 5, 3, 2 and newborn, one by one in the bath tub and now might be getting released after only 5 months because she claimed insanity because she thought she was saving her children from Satan.....now is that totally screwed up or what??? She should be in there permenantly!!! As a father of two, I believe that to be the justice system letting us all down!

This shit makes me sick. Pleading insanity doesn't mean they should be let free because of their "supposed" troubled minds. Makes you wonder where the father was during all of this. Then again, she was probably a single mother -- the children -- all probably by different men.
This whole child sex thing is a little unnerving, though... it's such an awful thing and nothing much is really being done aobut it...
As irrational as it seems, I think torture systems should be bought back to anybody proven guilty of murdering/sexually assulting/etc, another human being, no matter what gender or age.

As far as the U.S. Court system goes, the Department of Corrections should have the same rules as the Federal Prisons. In a regular DOC, any inmate can get out early for good behavior providing he/she isn't sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. In a Federal Prison, all inmates must serve every day they were sentenced, there is no time taken off for good behavior. Also, in a Federal Prison, inmates are not allowed outside for any reason with the exception of going from building to building. I use to work within the judicial system transporting inmates, so I have seen many prisons and know how they operate. IMO, instead of giving all these judges and States Attorneys hugh salaries and raises, how about building more prisons and keeping these animals in the cages they belong in!!
