Sphere break for perfect ending

OMG, this game is so stupid when it comes to completion percentage. So far I have 46 percent of the game completed and I'm going for the perfect ending. I'm almost halfway there, but I have to beat Shinra in the sphere break tournament. I can't beat Shinra. It's so stupid. I beat a third opponent then go straight to Shinra without getting to save, wasting my time. The first time I played him I got 48. The game's like "YOU SUCK YOU DIDN"T GET 50!" I swear that's what the game did to me. I got the most unlucky of unlucky 15th round. Yeah if you know the game you know what I'm talking about. I got the 1,2,3, and so on option. Yep, I'd like some help with how to beat him. Yes, I understand how the echo effect works and all, but Shinra's such a little homo when he throws in 3 of those 1,2,3, and so on combinations per game. Gah, I hate this sphere break crap. I thought mini-games were supposed to be fun, not just stupid where the cpu has farrr to much advantage.

Basically how do I beat him. I understand Echo, and all that, but any tips are welcome.

try and get the highest numbers in each turn u can, think about ur moves and use as many coins in each turn as u can.

Yeah thanks, I beat it yesterday like an hour or so after my thread. I got 52 and it was like the 14th round. I kept getting all nervous and blew it a few times before that again and again when I was so close. There's an element of luck in the game which sucks. Shinra can use that 1,2,3 crap as many times as he wants which is stupid.
