Final Fantasy VII-2: Searching for the truth

[Omega OwA]

"There are too many!!" Ora shouted as teh three were getting surrounded. "I've never tried this before, but its the only way!" Ora said. "Marlene, can I see the materia bag you have?" He asked and she gave it to him. "Alright, we give up." Ora said. Caije and Marlene both looked at him puzzled.

"Just give a few moments before you take us." He then dug through the materia bag and picked out a hand-full. Then he un-noticinlgy dipped them all into his glove. "Hey, you done yet or what?!" said one of them, and they all pointed their guns. "Sure, were done...with you!!!" and Ora unleashed the massive barrage of different materia he had inserted into his glove, blasting them all crazily. Just then, Ora fell to the ground. "Ugh....." He tried to get up but fell once more. "Looks like the overdose takes up a lot more than I thought....."

"G-Guys, a little help...." Caije and Marlene came up to him. "Theres.....a small plane nearby this building that we can..escape with...but I'm not sure we can all..fit."

[Aerif]

"Wait, stop, it's OK, I surrender..."

"The materia please"

Slowly and carefully Marlene took the materia bags and placed them on the floor as the Thug named Carl pointed his gun at Caije's head, despite Ora's rapid fire most of the Thugs still had their guns pointed at the trio and were still alive.

"We'll need those weapons too"

Marlene placed her gun on the ground and motioned to the others to do the same.

"Don't forget the whip!"

"Oh not the whip... It's was a gift from a friend. Can't I just crack it one more time?"

"Alright..." Carl said slowly, "But don't try any funny stuff..."

"Yes well, I suppose you won't find this funny..."

As she had promised Marlene cracked her whip once more but at the same time a green and blue light flashed from the handle. And all the Thugs froze.

"Stop and All magic, it works a bit better than rapid fire materia..."

She picked up the weapons and materia and went over to Ora and helped him to stand up, allowing him to use her shoulder as a make-shift crutch.

She suddenly laughed:

"I thought you where the one who was suppossed to be rescuing us?"

"Well I guess this isn't my thing then." Ora said with a small smile. They all headed towards the door out. "So....a way out......"
They were soon stopped by another thug. "Stop right there punks." "How many of these guys are there?" Marlene flung her whip at the thug and he suddenly froze.

"Wait.....can you unfreeze his head?" Ora asked Marlene. She looked confused a bit but unfroze the head of the thug. "H-H-Hey!!!!! Let me go!!" The thug screamed. "I don't think so. Now where.....is the way out?" Ora asked.

"W-why should I tell you?!" Ora motioned his head, looking at the thug's frozen body as to tell the thug that he was more than half in their control and Caije pointed a gun at his head. "Fine! But I'll regret this.....J...Just take a left, head down the hall, make a right....then you'll see a door."

"thanks." Ora said. And the three followed the directions. They soon reached a large room, but a door to the outside could not be seen. Then all of a sudden, the dragoon Alicia jumped down. "This is as far as you three go." She said. "He tricked us!!"

[Caije]

Alicia laughed at them. The dragoon stared them down and Caije slightly backed away. He smiled but the smile was soon wiped off his face as four figures approached. Carl and three footsoldiers.
"He tricked us!!" Ora yelled confused.

"You didnt really expect him to tell the truth did you!?" Caije yelled back at him. He immediatley drew his gun.

"Haha, "Mr Dangerous" being dangerous!" Carl yelled. The footsoldiers laughed also but still had there weapons drawn at the trio.

"How about you let us go, and I'll spare your lifes....." Caije laughed. He was getting cocky which was usually a bad sign.

"Take a look around Mr. Dangerous, we have you trapped in a corner, and your outnumbered six to three. the odds are against you kid!" he laughed.

"I Never cared for odds" He immediatley snapped out of his cocky humour and put on a serious face. His arm was in pain but he was going to use it to his advantage. "I gave you the chace to Live and fight for another day but it seems you wont survive," He yelled at them.

He leapt into the air as his gun glew a light blue colour. The blue aura fired and surrounded the enemys. He triggered his gun and sent for shots which were all absorvbed by the aura surrounding the enemys.
He fell to the floors and onto his knees. He was in incredible pain now.

Four loud bangs were heard within the aura. The bullets mixed with the aura had turned into four small blasts.
Four miniture explosions were heard. The aura was lifted and the three Goons fell to there knees dead. Carl fell to his knees.

"Sorry boss," He fell to the floor unconcious.

Alicia smiled. To her, she still had the advantage.

Caije was in so much pain he couldnt battle. He would have to depend on Marlene and Ora

[Aerif]

Marlene sighed, now both the men with her where injured. She had no idea on what to do she turned to Caije for advice but he was slouched over from fatigue. She lookde at Ora, who was weak from his materia blasts.

"Well, giving up or what?"

"Hmm... Wait a minute... If I gave you the information that you want will you let my friends free?"

"I don't really see what harm it will do, they're injured and anyway, everybody knows who I am anyway"

Caije and Ora looked at Marlene confused, in order to stop them protesting, she silently whispered to them:

"Don't worry, just wait for me I have a plan..."

Ora and tried to get up. "Well......here...we can use these....though they'll only seal our wounds up, the inside will still need to progress..." Ora said to Caije in a whisper.

He then handed himself and Caije some green cure materia. They cast it upon themselves and were able to get up.

'Now to find out what Marlene has got for the plan'

"Alright. Now for what i want..." Alicia said.

[Aerif]

"I want... I want... Damn, I've forgotten... No, no wait I remember! Alright 'Magic' Girl, into this room please..."

Marlene followed Alicia into the tiny Interigation room. It was so small that it could barely fit a small table with a lamp on top and two chairs. Alicia sat down at one end and motioned to Marlene to do the same.

"Now, I want you to tell me what happened to AVALANCHE in the Northen Crater 10 years ago."

"I... I..."

Marlene bit her lip as Alicia stared at her

"Well?"

"Er... They um.... They stopped Meteor..."

"Uh huh, I was aware of that..."

Marlene couldn't continue, that was all SHE knew, 'I'll need to distract her,' she thought, 'I already know she has a short memory'

Marlene pretended to be messing with her jacket, silently taking a materia orb. She looked up at Alicia and smiled, then crossed her fingers and whacked the materia orb off of the table, which promptly caught fire.

"Aah! Water, I need water!" Alicia said in shock

"Maybe there's some in the room beside us?"

Without thinking Alicia ran into through a door leading off to another room. Marlene took another orb of materia (M Barrier) and cast the spell inside. She crawled underneath the table, protected from the fire and prayed.

Alicia ran back into the room carrying a bucket of water which she poured over the burning table. The fire went out instantly and Marlene held her breath. She just hoped lady luck was with her.

"Wasn't I doing something... Um... Aw crap!"

Alicia left the room with a puzzled look, while Marlene exited through the window trying to stop herself from laughing...

Ki carried her small bag of stuff off the airship. Her smile faded as she walked into the destruction of the New Coral Station. People were spreading out here and there, cleaning up and finding freinds and family among the mess. A few bodies were lying on the ground. "Hurry up Ki. The Inn isn't far." an older man souted at her. She had stopped a few feet from the ship after she had seen the station. She looked ahead and saw that the others had continued and were a ways away from her. "Coming!" She yelled back, running to catch up. She looked back once at the disaster area before following close behind her companions.
She settled into her room. The men she was traveling with had given her a room to herself. She dropped her stuff on the bed. She sat on the end, grabbing the remote and switching on the small T.V. The first thing that popped up was the news. She sighed and was about to change it before she heard them giving a report on what had happened at the station. She stopped and sat the remote down, leaning closer to the T.V. "It has been about an hour or so since the attack done by AVALANCHE. There were casulties but almost all made it through with no harm. We have witnesses saying that they also took one man and Marlene Wallace, the daughter of Barret Wallace, an original AVALANCHE member."
Ki flipped off the television. She shook her head in dismay. Something was up. The AVALANCHE she had grown up knowing wouldn't hurt innocent people. They were only even created because of the ShinRa. With Midgar in ruins and all the reacters destroyed, as well as most, if not all, the members dead, there wasn't a reason for it to be around anymore. She sorted through some of her stuff finding her materia. She popped them into the slots in her gloves and walked out the door. She walked down the hall where the others were staying and knocked. "I'll be back later, okay? I'm gonna look around for a while." A faint voice answered. "Don't be too long. Be careful, kid." She smiled. "I will."
She walked out the door and headed towards the station once more. She planned on finding out what had really happened. She had no doubt that this wasn't the work of AVALANCHE. She walked up to one of the people who was still standing around there. "Um, excuse me. Were you here when AVALANCHE attacked?" A man about the age of his early to mid 30s turned and faced her. "Yes I was. That horrible group had no mercy to any one in their way." Ki shifted a bit uncomfertably at what she was about to ask. "Do you know which way they headed?" He looked down at her curiosly before answering. "They headed to the east. Another guy followed earlier today." She smiled and thanked him before heading in direction. She siliently prayed that she could handle whatever she was throwing herself into.

As Marlene went into the room with Alicia, Ora and Caije were left behind with some footsoldiers and thugs. "You guys ain't goin' anywhere."
After a short amount of time, they both decided to go check up on her.

"Hey!" One of them said, and blocked the door. "Let us pass already." Ora said. "I don't think so little man." "Fine." Ora pulled out his sword and Caije got his guns ready.
Ora sliced a few down and attacked another group with materia. Caije brought down the other half of the thugs and footsoldiers and they all fell flat to the ground.

"Looks like we can get in now..." Ora said and was about to turn the door knob when Alicia went out.
"Hey, what are you imbeciles doing still here!" Alicia said to Ora and Caije. "Wheres Marlene?" "Marlene-Who? Oh blast it." The Dragoon went inside the room again and the window was open. "Argh....!" She blasted a blizzara spell at the two but Ora pulled out some reflect materia and blocked it. "Looks like she just left us!" Ora said. "Lets get out of here Caije!" Ora shouted and ran up the the room, throwing Alicia aside.

"You brats aren't getting away!" she started to run after them.
"Argh. This window is pretty small..." Caije was getting stuck in the window. Ora looked behind as Alicia was running up to them. "Dang!" and Ora pushed through the window and both of them fell out.

"Now where did Marlene go!?" Ora and Caije ran around the area hastily looking for Marlene, Alicia just behind them.

[Aerif]

"Caije, Ora! Hit the deck!"

Marlene tossed a bomb down from the rooftop of the building, as Caije and Ora dived to the ground the bomb exploded and the ground was covered with a thick layer of smoke.

She watched as the boys crawled out coughing from the carnage. As the smoke cleared there was no sign of Alicia, but that didn't matter, her friends where safe and that was all that mattered.

"Up here you guys! The roof, you two need to come up here and help me figure out who these people really are!"

[Omega OwA]

"The roof?" Ora and Caije went to the side of the building and climbed up a small ladder.

"I don't think they'll be telling us who they 'Really' are like this, so..."

Just as Ora spoke, Alicia came crashing out of the remaining smoke and looked up to see the three on the roof.
She ran to the side and started to climb the ladder, her face covered in ash though here armour still not peirced.

"I'm.....coming up!!"

"I don't think so. I could just flip this ladder up, but that wouldn't solve our problem."

Ora took a materia ball and froze Alicia's arms and legs with stop.

"Now, who are you guys anyway?"

Ki ran for a while but she was getting a bit tired now. She slowed down to a fast walk, breathing heavily. Her mind wandered and she found herself thinking back to the time of the "crisis". She didn't know much except what she heard peole talking about. She grew up watching the team AVALANCHE go into the pub known as 7th Heaven. She saw Cloud join them and also watched when after the second mission with AVALANCHE he didn't come back. She was very observant as a child, but when the team left Midgar she found that she grew more and more curious as rumors went around that they were ShinRa's main enemy.
She stopped before her thoughts could go anywhere else. A sigh escaped her as she continued walking. That seemed to be the only thing she could do at the moment. As her thoughts ran around, she began to realize that she wasn't planning on going back as she had said earlier. She was a bit surprised at her self, but in truth these had been her intentions in the beginning. She didn't plan on going back with the others when they left.
She closed her eyes and stretched, putting her arms up then down behind her back. When she stopped and looked up she almost jumped back in surprise. There, a little ways ahead of her, was a building. There were three people on the roof and a woman on the ladder. She moved a bit closer, feeling uncomfertable out in the open like she was. She sighed and settled to waiting to see what would happen before getting involved.

[Iudicium]

Clyde had heard screams as he entered New Corel Town and saw corpses lying around. "What happened?" Clyde asked a man with sweat stains on his shirt. "Who done this?"

"It was AV- AVALANCHE!" The man said .

"No way" Clyde said as he shook his head, "AVALANCHE are good people, they saved us from meteor."

"They were different members. And a young girl is travelling with us, she left a while ago. Please see if she is OK. Oh and her name is Ki."

Clyde nodded at the man and ran off. He was running for about 10 minutes until he saw some people. Three people were on the roof and on girl was below them watching. Clyde immediately knew this was the girl. "Ki, the men you're travelling with are worried about you."
