Hi guys, this is a little project that I'm doing...actually, it's huge. I'm linking all of the final fantasies together into one giant plot. They don't necessarily go in order (except the X and VII sequels/prequels). I would love your ideas everyone! Please if you have a possible plotline connection between any two final fantasy games, I would love you to post it here. NOTE: By posting your ideas here, that means you have given me permission to use it in my project. But don't worry, I will put your name/nickname in my credits section. PLEASE: Don't post negative things here. Are you making it into a game or just a story?

I have a few ideas but not off the top of my head. But there is many connections you could do and reveal about the characters such as their history and stuff.

Well there was a certain plotline connection between vii and ix,I thought so anyway. Zidane and Cloud were similar characters towards the end,after finding out they were both different in a way they both went into a "depression" if you will. They both had connections to the main antagonist. And ffix almost paid homage to vii with comments and music from vii. Towards the end both Villians acted in a very similar way. There is some other things but thats all I've got at the minute,hope it helps!

The only ones I could really see you connecting are I to XI with Garland and of course VII-X for having similar maps and of course the "Shinra" character in X-2. In fact that's the ONLY two games to have an official connection confirmed by Square-Enix (FFX taking place a good few hundred years earlier then VII)

That, and I always thought Cloud's apparence in FFT could've taken place during FFVII...somehow.

Wow good idea,
but it would be hard all the games have different storys, in different worlds, with different lvls of technology, but it is a good idea and good luck with it, ill post an idea if i get one.

I have always thought that Square had some huge all encompassing master plot that linked all the games. I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Consider me at your disposal.

The most obvious thing is the Crystals. Final Fantasy's I, IV, V, and IX all had the Crystals as a main plot point, and if you think about it VI and VIII may have as well. The four statues of the gods in VI may very well have had something to do with the Crystals, and was there not a great crystal at the core of Lunatic Pandora?

Any overall plotline would have to focus on the Crystals.

A few oddities come to mind. I remember a scene in FFIX where Zidane goes into a weapon shop and if you go to the weapons rack you see a sword just like Cloud's and Zidane will say, "I remember a guy with spiky hair who used to carry asword like that," or something to that effect. Just a little something for the fans, or something worth screaming "BLACK HELICOPTERS!" over?

We may never know.

Cid. Yeah, you know Cid. He's in every game. Well they're different Cid's but they're all Cid's. They even have a Cid in Spirits Within. Doctor Cid, Headmaster Cid, Cid and Mid, Cid Highwind, I could go on. I don't know what significance this has, if any, but here it is for your appraisal.

Oh, and don't forget Biggs and Wedge. They've been in a bunch of them as well.

I always thought that the 4 crystals in I,III,IV,V,IX are the same crystals.The crystals first appeared in I by those 4 light warriors then they were held by great nations and were keep changing places to held them because of the events in the games and then some summoner sealed Alexeiar summon in them just like that water snake.FFVII,X and VIII could happen after IX because in IX they learned to used steam that lead to the great cilliozions of VII,VIII and X.VIII first because I don't think it's as anvant as VII and X.Then VII,the first fall of technoclogy then X the second fall of technoclogy.Don't know where II and VI go thought.Maybe VI came after X and first acted as the fall of magic and then acted as the third fall of technoclogy.II might happen ever betwind X and VI.That what I think.
