Yep any Final Fantasy(prefably VII) fan should buy, borrow, download this. It has amazing graphics you could say, almost lifelike and the film offers a great story with your favourite characters to lead you through it. Buy it.

I wouldn't suggest that. Advent Children directly links from the videogame, so those who have not played the videogame won't understand it as much. Also, If you watch the movie before playing the game, the important aspects which the movie concludes, and the connection of Sephiroth, Loz, Yazoo, Kadaj and JENOVA is unclear, as is he relationship of Aeris and Zach. I know someone who saw the movie before playing the game, and believe me the game had him confused as he kept recalling the movie. I had to explain a hell of a lot to him!

As for the movie, I enjoyed it. The graphics were beautiful, and the TURKs added great comedic affect to the story. I prefered the words in the Japanese version, as they had to change much of it in the English version for correct lip-sync. I didn't feel the storyline was incredibally strong though, and the new villains annoyed me at time, especiall Kadaj screeching "mother" like an annoying little spoilt brat mummys boy! I did enjoy the filmthough, and liked how the ending of the movie carried straight from an improved version of the final hidden scene of the game.

Why not? It doesn't mean you have to be gay or I have to be gay it just means discrimination is against the law!

i downloaded the movie last night... it was cool and i enjoyed it.. i've seen it about 10 times lol.. any way , u wont enjoy the movie unless ur a ffantasy vii player.. you should have gone through the story,or at least know the outlines of it.. so if ur a ff vii player.. go on buy it..
other wise DONT!! you will find it meaningless and boring.. which was the case for my cousin he kept swearing for wasting time downloading such a rediculous movie..
i liked the movie.. especially that part when tifa challenged loz.. and the part where cloud killed the summoned monster.. i donno the name .. and the part when aeris appeared at the end.. and thx once again to square soft for doin their best to please us

saw a cheap copied version of the film at my mates house, LOVED IT. Then bought the DVD as soon as it was out, watched it 11 times within the same week, LOVED IT EVEN MORE. Seriously, i can't stop watching it. The only thing that annoyed me was the bits with Aeris, and the ridiculously flowery music. It just....seemed pointless in the end. But other than that, i just.....it's the best movie in the WORLD!

Graphics - 10/10
Storyline - 9/10
Music - 10/10 (got the soundtrack)

I don't know how you can watch it over and over again, the replay value of this film is well... nothing. It's over-hyped but the extras that come with it are worth it I guess. The action took years to make so you can appreciate the effort that's gone into that but I don't think it should have been made in the first place so I'm going to be biased anyway...

Yeah, the extras are great. But when I told a friend that I was gonna get it he told me not to because the Japanese voices are better than the English. But I disagree, cause I don't understand Japanese so I can't tell if there is any emotion and all the male voices sound the same.
But I wish it was longer and the other characters (Barret, Cid, Yuffie etc.) were in it more, they were only there at the end (Except for Vincent and Tifa). And if you speak English but don't speak Japanese, buy the English version cause you can tell if there is emotion/expression and you don't need to read subtitles.

P.S I've got a FF VII: AC club called 'The Silver Haired Men', you can join if you want to discuss the movie and do some RP and RPB.

I only bought the film yesterday and watched it last night. I really liked it! At first I was rather confused about what was going on but I started to understand it gradually as it went on. I thought it was really entertaining and it was packed full of action which I loved. I thought all of the characters were great and the voice acting was pretty good. I might watch it again today because I loved it! Cloud is rather cute too LOL.

Was anyone dissapointed in the ffvii film advent chldren?

Was anyone not dissapointed by it? i thought they made it to mainstream and american, it was a kool movie dont get me wrong but i just wish that they had done it better and given it a better story line then the one that they used. I would of liked to know a bit more about Clouds past and how he has some reference to the soldier Zak didnt really get that much info about him in the game. Also i was hoping that the battle between Cloud and Sephiroth would of been a bit better more kick ass sword fighting moves than the ones shown. feel free to agree or disagree with me

My only thing was I wish some of the party characters like Yuffie, Barret, etc. got more showtime. Aside from the battle with Bahamut you really don't see or hear much from them. All that aside I thought the storyline worked well and that the battle with Sephiroth was pretty kickass in its own. Any fight can be cooler by adding to it but I think it sufficed. The battles were very fast paced and kept you into it I thought. I don't understand what you mean by too "American" though. It was made in Japan and then dubbed over in the U.S. so I'm kind of confused at what you mean.

I liked the movie. But it could have been better. Plus they never explain how Cloud got Geostigma. I also wish they would have told more baout Cloud's past aswell. Him, and Zake. How far apart in Soldier they join from eachother. Stuff like that.
