what type of music you like

I am all about classic rock like the beatles, led zepplin, pink floyd, the doors, etc. I am also a fan of grunge like Nirvana, the smashing pumpkins, and 80's rock like the guns and roses and ac/dc. I also like some odd bands like the violent fems and Elvis.

i like rap hip hop and R&B music. THE BEST SINGERS are 50 Cent, Snoop Dog, Usher, Ludacris and will.i.am. I also believe that Lordi had a wonderful song at the previous Eurovision but i haven't heard other of their songs

I love Smooth Jazz, Soft Rhythm & Blues, Korean and Japanese Pop, and Oldies. I personally like Marvin Gaye, Grover Washington Jr., Keiko Matsui, BoA Kwon, Utada Hikaru, Eri Nobuchika, and Teena Marie. There other artists whom I like, yet their numbers are too many to name.

Damn, how'd I miss this thread?

For the most part, I'm a tried and true metalhead. However, I'm extensively ecclectic and will give anything a run-through at least once. Bands I listen to normally include stuff like 311, Daft Punk, Dead Poetic, Spineshank, Tool, Dir en Grey, Gackt, Slightly Stoopid, and even Duran Duran on occasion.

I'm a listener of Indie and Alternative Rock music myself. I like how each band is much different from one another (although there seems to be an increase in Libertines wannabees, such as The View). A lot of bands in the Indie genre use deep situations and lyrics, but encase them in something plesent to listen to with great rhythms and melodies. Maximo Park and The Editors are prime examples of this. I'm a huge Bloc Party fan, as they have clever meanigful lyrics as well as great musicianship. I don't like all music in these genres, as I do not like the much-hyped about Libertines and the children-bands of them, Babyshambles and Dirty Pretty things. I do, however, like a lot of the music i this genre. I grew up listening to the likes of Blur, Oasis, and The Stone Roses, which I think helped me to become a fan of the music I do like.

I also like classic rock, as my mum also got me into Led Zeppelin, Jimmi Hendrix, Iron Maiden and Metallica from a young age, as well as punk bands The Sex Pistols and The Clash. I thank my mum for getting me into real music instead of S Club 7, which many of my friends were into when they were young. I like most forms of metal, however i'm not so keen on death metal. Iron Maiden, Metallica and Soulfly are my favorite metal bands, and Iced Earth are ace too.

I hear almost everything! but my all time favourite band is Offsring! Punk is the best (NOFX, Pennywise, Ramones...)! now i've been listenig to arctic monkeys (great stuff)!! but i also hear linkin park, nirvana (who doesnt like nirvana), sex pistols.. i listen to a lot of new stuff and old stuff, its hard to say everything!
