selphie.. she never does much that matters.. and her whole personality is just annoying to me.. theyw ay she tries to be a friend to all... not my type of person i want when wanting to save the world.. if she didnt even have friends in the other garden i may venture to say her character was pointless.. but i wont because i am sure there are soemthings i overlooked..

Selphie was downright useless. She never did much for the story or party. I really don't see why they even had her in the game, there wasn't one part in the game that she was related to in some way.

My least favorite team member would have to be.... Selphie! I mean she has a good Limit Break and all but her power was weak in the beginning. She mainly sit around as a low lvl team member while practically all others were in their 80's. I love her Limit Break, can even kill a boss, but I found her to be a little less useful then what other ppl may think.

Selphie is my vote for the most useless character in the game. She is cute, but she wasn't much of a help in the game, and maybe I didn't give Selphie a chance to level up.

Me too vote for Selphie. Except for her Full-Cure limit option she was not of much help to me. Next to her it would be Irvine, even if he has good limit.

I'd liked to say that Quistis IS useful with her limit (especiallyegenerator, Shockwawe pulsar...etc), only that she could have better weapon.
Zell is fist fighter (I like it) so I choose him before Selphie, Irvine and Quistis.

I thought that Irvine and Quistis were pretty useless. I don't know why people keep saying that Selphie is useless. I thought she was very good. Her best weapon had 255 hit and her Limit Break was awesome because it had Full-Cure, The End, and other really useful spells. I think that Irvine was pretty useless because if you didn't have really great ammo or if you ran out of ammo, his limit break would be completely useless. Also I really didn't like Quistis's Limit Breaks, but I could see how people would think they could be very useful. I guess that Irvine would be the least favorite character.

Selphie is the most useless. She sucked and her weapon sucked with her at least. I just hated her, and she had the most useless Limit Break.

well i'd pick quistis, too depends on how you going to manage her and not only her but for other characters like selphie and irvine... yeah i argee what chaos said her limit break is hard and annoying!!!

Well, I'm going to go against the grain here and admit that I actually like Quistis.

As far as dislikes, Selphie's definitely topping that list. I can't vouch for her battle abilities since I only have her in party when necessary, but damn she was annoying. Almost comparable to Navi, even. Tee-hee! Tee-hee! Tee-*smack!* Grr.

And...she's really the only character I actively disliked. Everyone else I either liked or just had a 'meh' kind of reaction to. I guess I just don't like happy people for some reason. XD

No its not but I have to agree with you anyway.
Quistis is one of my least favorite characters in FFVIII! Come on! Her original limit break ( Laser Eye ) is sucks! Maybe you can make her learn more new limit breaks such as Degenrator, Shockwave Pulsar and Mighty Guard but thats simply not enough to me !

I hated Quistis because I could not go to all that trouble to get her ultimate limit break, Selphie on the other hand was great as she made me laugh.
