i would have to say Rinoa. I dunno why people hate on Zell and Irvine because of their limit breaks. You could loop Zells limit forever if you get 11 seconds on the start, and can still finish with a good move. He was the second biggest hitter for my limits, after lionheart, which was too unpredictable. Why does buying ammo for Irvine irk people so? You got a steady paycheck in game, which was awesome, and tonberry has the shop abilities and haggle and all, so it wasnt so expensive, and you really couldnt use all of his ammo up quickly.

Quistis annoys me. She annoys me alot. She's a bit..bland for my tastes, no offence to all the Quisty fans out there. Although I did quite like the Idea for a whip as a weapon, and she was quite strong at times, especially near the beginning. But I still like the others more. Sorry, Quisty.

I've never liked Quistis that much, but I do like a lot of her Limit Breaks so i guess that is the benefit of the doubt. She isn't all bad. =]

My least favourite party member was Selphie. I didn't hate her or anything, don't get my wrong - it's just I like her the least. She's small and can be quite annoying, plus she was the weakest person in my party and I find her limit break to be pretty useless.

Character/Personality-wise: I liked Rinoa, Selphie, Zell, sometimes Quistis....and just maybe Squall....

But characters I didn't even bother to really level up....yeah that would be Quistis and Irvine. Like for reasons already said....Quistis was cool in the beginning but then....I just didn't use her as much anymore after a while. And for Irvine...I hated trying to collect the ammo....it was pointless. >>;;;;

Selphie. She was just too smaller than the others that when she's in the party, I get the feeling that one hit will totally KO her... o.o

I dont like Selphie. Sure, her Limit Break was nice for the first disc, but after I got 100 or almost every magic and I had 100 Megalixers, she was rendered USELESS to me anyways. (Plus, she's waayy too happy.)

*Well i really dont dislike all of the characters in final fanasty VIII,but there are some who are just better right!it really doesnt matter what level or how their stats progress because when theyre junctioned with the proper magic the become strong enough to handle any opponent correct!

*So it goes down to the limit breaks,how much damage their stronges attack can produce,so my least favorite would have to be.....NONE! i find all of them useful in ways and in certain cenarios,they have specific strengths and weaknesses but i like them just th eway they are.individuality!thats it!thats why i like all of them buggers!

She is annoying, whiny, and weak.
Rinoa is pretty weak too, but I'd rather have Rinoa on my party any day than Selphie with her nunchuku. -_-

selphie as she is weak and her limit breaks were good at the start but at disc 2 near the end i would render then as pretty much useless no offence selphie fans(if there are any)lol

Jokes asside, I wasn't much of an Irvine worshipper. Maybe I just had shorter patience for him than others, and I found his limit quite boring. He made quite an interesting character, but I'm not big on using him in battle. He's probably useful at a high level, and with a cheat-sorry, "turbo" controller.

No doubt, Rinoa, Quistis and Selphie

They are the most useless characters, Selphie's limit breaks are not that important ( You can count on her magics

), Quisits has a very normal limit break, Rinoa has a good limit breaks but I dont like her weapon, It takes a long time to hit the enemy and back to her hand

Not fussed on Quistis or Rinoa.

Irvine and Squall were uber hot, so they were automatically in my good books. It did help that they both had good (in Squall's case, awesome) limit breaks, and were both consistently dealing 9999 ...
Zell's limit was awesome, Selphie I kept for consistent levelling up (she was always the weakling), and just becasue, let's face it, who doesn't love to see a fellow shorty whack stuff with a giant two ended fork?? Well, yeah, it's two forks joined by a pretty blue string, but who said we had to get technical?
Quistis ... don't get me started. Yuck. She's stuckup, it looks like she's looking down her nose at you ... "Hi, I'm Quistis, and I will no doubt kick your ass. Have a nice day" ... just didn't do it for me, I'm sorry.
Rinoa ... What is with that pinwheel? I -hate- it. And that stupid dog. I -hate- the dog. I will love anyone or anything forever if they can get rid of the dog. Sure, it could do some nice stuff, but who wants to walk around in circles forever teaching a furball tricks, when Rinoa is going to die before you can ever use them? Hello??

OK, character bashing over. I love this thread. ^^
