| | i have bought it and beaten it. it's an ok game, and it can get addicting too. i would say go ahead and buy it since it's only for 5 bucks.

n/a | ahhh..i remember this game. i was in preschool, and everyday after school, my uncle would teach me how to play Final Fantasy, and how to level up, obtain spells, and this game brings back memories. I am still with Final Fantasy today, (seeing as its my favorite series), and it's all because of this game. You should definatly buy it, even though it is a Final Fantasy for beginners. | ||||||||

| Lord Have Mercy | I actually enjoyed the game for what it was. The problem with a lot of people and their view surrounding the game lies with them putting way too much pressure for it to be just like the other Final Fantasy games. It is different on purpose, and that is one of the things I like about it. It is simplestic and enjoyable. I have not beaten it yet, due to the fact that I both do not own a Super Nintendo anymore and that I cannot find a stable ROM. The latter one is the hardest one, because everytime I get to a certain point in the game, which differs depending on which site I get it from, the game manages to erase the saved files I create upon next start up. I got tired of starting over and over again, managing to get up to the same point somewhere around twenty times, so I just said to hell with it and threw the files away. Maybe I will get the game when I somehow obtain a Super Nintendo. Whenever the hell that is. So yeah. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is a good game, so long as you don't put up a wall of expectations and figure that it will be just like the rest of the Final Fantasy games. I say buy it. Afterall, it is only five bucks. If you have a job, that is pretty much nothing. Even if you don't have a job, that is like.. lunch money or something. Allowance? Whatever you kids are calling it these days.

| | Mystic quest is a great game they made it so simple to try and get people interested in the series. it's sort of like a tutorial game to all of the other FF games. I really liked it though it easy and fun and the ending is good too. Definatley worth $5 in fact thats how mush I paid for mine at a flea market.

| | I've played it and beaten it. It's very bare bones and really doesn't compare to the others in terms of anything, in my opinion. It is a pretty good time waster and something fun to play with, though. I'd buy it for five dollars but I really wouldn't spend any more than that. If you're really curious just go and get it, it's not like five dollars is something that can't be easily aquired again. | ||||||||

| | I own the original game and it was my first final fantasy played. I have to say it is a bit lacking in comparison with the other titles, but it's good as an introduction to the series. I was so young when i played it..hell i dont think i even knew how to read and i still beat it. But for 5 bucks, why not?

| Definitely not 6:10:50 | I liked this game, it was a definitely good game, but was overshadowed by the rest of the Final Fantasy series, which I tend to think is a bit unfair, it was a great game. Simplistic, yet fun, I would definitely recommend getting this game, especially for 5 bucks.

1,131 | Sorry for gravedigging, but there was a link for this in another thread. Was this game an Action RPG with no real battle system where you just walk around hitting things? This is just for SNES, correct? Maybe Square-Enix will make a PS3 library for all the classics.

| Mistress of Succubi | Actually this was a GB game I think. Don't really remember. Maybe it was for the SNES. But yea, think Zelda. Action RPGish and stuff. I played it once. It was alright, nothing to exciting, heh. Edit: Yea, SNES. I dunno why I thought GB. | ||||||||

| | Well, it's true that Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was for the SNES but it certainly wasn't an action RPG, though maybe you guys just didn't play into it far enough. On screen you did have parts where you would use your sword, grappling hooks, and other weapons for exploration. The game did involve some adventure elements like that, in addition to jumping and other puzzles. The battles were turn based like the other final fantasies, though very very simplistic. Maybe you were thinking of Final Fantasy Adventure for the GB, since that is an action rpg? ![]()

1,131 | Yeah, I've played FFA or Sword of Mana. I wish they came out with an FFA3 though....(considering Seiken Densetsu 3) was by far the best. Sometimes though, I tend to think Square just puts FF in a name to boost sales like they did for FFA, FFL, and even this one. MysticQuest is American-Made, correct?

| Mistress of Succubi | Not FFTA, FFA. FFTA is Tactics Advanced, which isn't a Seiken Densetsu. You typo'd, I know. Though I'm not sure if you know you typo'd or not. XD And yes, I think MQ was american-made if I'm not mistaken. Final Fantasy Adventure = Seiken Densetsu 1 = Sword of Mana Secret of Mana = Seiken Densetsu 2 Seiken Densetsu 3 = Secret of Mana 2 Seiken Densetsu 4 = Dawn of Mana So yes. SD3 is technically Secret of Mana 2. Well, not technically. It is. | ||||||||
