Firstly why bother posting that, its futile.

I think Harry wont die, for reasons i cant remember, i tried posting on here last week i think and it didnt work. Mainly though the fact that Harry Potter is a childrens book and kids like 5 are having it read to them. I know i wouldnt of liked...Superman to die or something when i was young. There were loads more but ill edit this post later.

I'm sure DD knew he had to die for something to happen. He wouldn't have put himself in a position like that without a good reason.

First of all... Just outwardly saying "I hate harry potter books, and the main character should DIE so they can't make any more" is a rediculous response to the thread. This is going to be the last HP book, regardless of whether he dies or not. JK as said in the past that she doesn't want anything else to do with HP, and will be moving onto newer things. As for those people that are just on the "dislike-Harry-Potter" bandwagon, maybe a serious readthrough would do you some good? if you've already read through the series.. why don't you like it?

Anyway... enough with that. My view on the matter?
Possible spoiler, I suppose:

If harry ends up being a Horcrux (his scar, perhaps?) it would be almost impossible NOT to kill him off. If he's not, however, I believe she wont kill him off.

My girlfriend has a theory, actually. It stems all the way back to book 1. It deals with the giant chess game they played, and how Ron "sacrificed" himself so Hermione and Harry could go forward. She seems to think that this points to a Ron Death, but who knows?

I highly doubt harry will die just because its a childrens book. I think however that the Death because he is a horcrux is a good idea but if we found it out early in the book then he wouldnt die, just because she tends to make us believe things that arnt true (sirius is evil for instance)

Y'know, Jof, I actually wouldn't think of Harry Potter as a kids' book. I think it's for any age. We've already seen some things in the Harry Potter books that aren't TOTALLY focused at children. I'm sort of hoping he'll die, though. He was cool in the first few books. Now he's just a moody fag. >_>

I don't hate Harry Potter. I actually love the books and the movies. I have all the movies in DVDs and I've read all the books. I don't know if he will die in the end, and I don't really mind so much.

I agree with Chez. The first books were really good and I loved them. However the last books, especially the 5th and the 6th were...too much. I don't know...I just didn't like them so much.

Yes, Jof. I agree with you. I never thought that Dumbledore would die, especially by Severus Snape. I'm not convinced that Snape is bad, though. Just think of it. It's the perfect plan. He kills Dumbedore and everybody thinks that he goes with Voldemort. The dark side will trust him again. I don't say that it's true, but it could be that, right? Also, if this is true he could protect Harry. Well, eventhough I don't want to say that, I believe that in the end both Harry and Voldemort will die. I just hope that the last book will be better than the 6th one.
