Edward's Hide ability

Edward's Hide ability is automatically activated when he is very low on HP, and it alows him to not be attacked for that period of time. But how annoying is it?!?! I mean come on, when he runs and hides, ill usually try and do show that way i can heal him real fast, but i end up wasting a cure spell or a cure item. I hope you can agree with me on this

I try to be fair to all charatcers. But Yuffie, Selphie, Cait Sith, and Edward make it difficult.

Edward's hide ability, albiet annoying, has its up side. It's my personal belief that the less a character is around to be hit, the less he will be hit. It's the same reason I like Kain's Jump ability.

Also, Edward is royalty. You can't really blame him for having extreme paranoia about death. You know, with all the assassination attempts.

well what i did was i raised all my first five original characters and the other five at the end of the game get lvls like your party. so edward was 99 as well as everyone else. it was easy. but he was still a pain wen he was low lvl

He's crap pure and simple. I never used him, hell found reasons not to use him he just sucked. And as for the hide ability, the first few times it was admittebly funny, after that it go aggravating and annoying/.

Same here. He has to be one of the most pethetic characters in the Final Fantasy Series (that you can get on your team that is.)

Well that abilty isn't all that usless. You can use it for a glitch, Just berserk Edward and then use tornado on him. He will be considered hiding but he will come out on his turn and attack. Don't worry he won't get hit by an attack that hurts the team(if you do this you won't be able 2 heal him!)

That isn't really a glitch....it seems more like a hit and run tactic although i must say that is some great stuff. I personally think that a character who attacks with melodic intruments should not be played with. However a real FF fan will give him a chance but eventually still get fed up

There is a time in the GBA version where Edward's hide and show ability comes in handy.

Since I have already beaten the game...3 days after I got it, let me fill you in what I am talking about through SPOILERVISION!

Spoiler: When fighting Lunar Odin in the Lunar Base on the moon after you kill Zeromus and get the credits...yada yada yada. Lunar Odin for some odd reason bases all his attacks on Edward, so he casts these powerful spells, and you can make Edward hide, and Odins spell will completely miss, then make Edward come back and do it over and over while your other 4 characters beat him to shreds.

I liked edwards hide ability and I'll tell you why. I would wait for his hit points to get low and then let him hide for as long as I could. He is so useless sometimes I wouldn't even heal him hoping that he wouldn't come back. I mean come on what kind of person fights with a harp? He doesn't even throw the harp he sings at the enemy. If I were an enemy I would just laugh at him and his pathetic singing.

nuff sead, but at least hes a good singer.

Well sometimes on a boss hes usfull for taking hits and then hide. All I do is cast proyect and Berserk on him and he is an ok guy. But really, he's older than Ryida(I think),Rosa,Kain,Cecil,Porom,Palom and I think Yang and he's still and chicken. All those people i metioned ARNT babys.

I HATE it. All my other characters are dead, he's set to revie them, he gets hit, he hides....grrr.

Yea thats when it sucks, but if all ur people die besides him, he can't hide.
