Staring A New Game...

Ok, so im finally going to get round to finishing Final Fantasy IV for the SNES for once, I usually start it and then totally forget about it but the main reason im creating this thread is to ask fellow FFIV players if there are any secrets I should keep in mind incase I go pass them and miss them, I need to know all the secret summons, weapons, armour, items etc?

Well...the game contains some secrets where you can go through walls to end up in an adjacent room with chests. Don't worry, the main secrets of the game are moreorless side quests...

as for the summons for rydia, i think they are Imp, Cockatrice, Bomb, and Mindflayer. all you really need to do is battle those monsters enough times, and you will get an item with that monsters name on it, and all you have to do is give it to rydia. all i have gotten so far is the Imp lol

unfortunately, the US version of FFIV on the SNES (named FFII actually) does not have those four optional summons (not that I care, I don't find them that useful anyway)

The only thing I can think of is keeping those alarms (or whatever item it is that causes random encounters) instead of selling them. Keep them to fight the enemies that give Pink Tails

well i'd say just make sure that you steal hundreds of alerts while you're in the tower of babil, since you'll never be able to get back in afterwards, and that's the only place you can get alerts

you can also get the spoon dart too, after you get back out of the under world go back in and go to the sylphs cave, then youl see yang then go to fabul and talk to his wife. she will give you a frying pan, then go back to the cave and give yang a good beating, the sylphs offer you there help with the sylph summon call. then go back to fabul and talk to yangs wife again, she will then give you the spoon......the most powerful dart in the game

well, u can get 255 ragnaroks if u use a cheat but i forget how 2 do it.

The sword that Dark Bahamut(Wyvern in Snes version)gaurds. It is a hard boss but u get the best sword in the game(besides the lightbringer in FFIV advance.)

yeah im thinking about getting the gba cuz im curiouse about the thing that you keep other characters, cuz in the snes version you have one party and thats it, you can swich characters around ex: after the twins use stone, thats the last time you get have them in thwe party, for the rest of the game

That suks tho...Yes u should get the GBA version. It has 2 bouns dougens and new bosses. I beat it a lot of times so i know its fun.

the slyph summon must be gained before getting fusoya in your party look on gamefaqs for the requirements

The spoon is a must aswell before u get FuSoYa in ur party.
