Doom

Gotta say I love the games! I have never plaed the orginal Doom but I have with the others. Doom 3 is my favourite. The graphics create an eery atmosphere to the game whilst the older games made it feel like they belonged in an arcade. What do you think of the games?

The game is very classic and showing true First-Person Shooter.I never understand the storyline though but what the heck. The series are so classic i played all of it when I was younger than now. It's good to try them out.

I never tried Doom 3 though but ever since I saw the movie I desperately finding the game.

Doom 3 is really good! Very very creepy. Especially when you are encountering monsters in the pitch black

All DOOM games are true classics, infact if I don't remember wrong DOOM was the very first FPS ever to be created, if not Wolfenstein 3D was the first one. Anyway I have played them all and love them all (the movie is awesome too)^^

DOOM: I was utterly hooked on this game, I remember back in my high school days everybody was talking about how awesome DOOM was, and it really was awesome.

DOOM 2: I had this game on both my ancient PC and my PSX, it rocked.
Me and my friend completed the entire game in a night at his place (that was the PSX edition) on the hardest difficulty (where the monsters respawn) that was awesome!!!

DOOM3: Unfortunately I haven't played this game very much but it's just as awesome as the rest, walking aroundin the dark getting attcked and shooting naught but air (I'm not very skilled with changing to the flashlight)

Anyway DOOM OWNS it did over 10 years ago and the games still OWNS today. YAY!

Doom 3 was really disappointing. There was far too much emphasis on graphics and not enough on gameplay. The game wasn't scary or unsettling, since the "scares" came about by sudden appearances of enemies rather than creating a genuinely creepy feel to the game. The gameplay was bland and I was unable to play more than an hour at a time because I just got too bored. At the end of the day, it's not a terrible game, but given all the hype surrounding it before release it fell short of my expectations. Distinctly mediocre, in my view. There are far superior FPS games available for you to buy.

Doom 3 is okay, it has awesome graphics though it's pretty much just another Doom game but with souped up graphics. Personally I'm a fan of the first 2 Dooms, less graphics more Imps. Haha those games have awesome music too in the simplistic way. NEDM. Mut overall great series of games except Doom 64 that sucked in every way possible. Overall though Doom's very good.

I don't mind the Doom games. I only like the classics, 1 & 2. I haven't played the newer game, I also haven't seen the film. I have Doom 1 and 2 on PS1 and it's fun to play. My brother used to play it when I was younger and I used to sit down and watch him, I love it! I also love Wolfenstein 3D, that's an awesome game.

Doom tends to give me the creeps sometimes lol, especially when I was younger. The noises in it used to scare me. Overall, it's a good game. It has nice gameplay and I like the man's face when you pick up a weapon LOL. He looks cool.

I completely agree with Winter. It was way too over hyped, graphics were way too focused on, and it wasn't that scary. Not the same could be said for F.E.A.R. or Condemned: Criminal Origins, really proper spooky shit there. Actually I believe that as a modern version of a classic FPS, Quake 4 was way better in every way imaginable.
