Plenty of people get through life without love. Many people deliberately reject love so that they can go through life without any obstacles.

I would have to go with goals/desires. I just don't think I'd end up being happy if I didn't have some goal I ultimately wanted to achieve.

I do want love.All my life I have never been truely loved by another,and I would liek to experience it.I had a pretty crappy childhood,never felt loved cause of how abusive my dad was.so I grew up moved on,but I want to be loved and I want to love.I am sort of a romantic so yea.

From my experiences, I've noticed that these people usually live very sad lives and only reject love for fear of being hurt or betrayed by it.

Actually, come to think of it, love could be a goal. There are overlapping regions of this question it would seem.

Power is the key for obtaining almost all of this things. In power must be knowledge because "There is no knowledge that is not power". Dosen't thou agree. With knowledge and power the choices are unlimited.

That's up for debate. No matter how much power you have, you can't force someone to love you. You'd be surprised how often that leads people down the path to obtain more power. Compensation is the word.

But to have power alowes thou to have (a high social status in the medievel days) a good money status today. Good money status maybe even a title like lord or count. Very appealing dosen't thou think so. Anyway people fell things like compassion, joy, fear and others.There is no such thing called love. Love is only a mixture of some of those good feelings and of course lust. It is always nice to hear that word "love" but believe me that word always realy means something else. What can we do that is the way of this world.

in life i would like to accomplish my goals. those goals are completing the school im at and going to college. i want to learn how to design stuff like baots and other things. i would like to have my own house and a nice family. and i would like to improve on being someone that procrastinates like i want to stop it.
i want to continue going to the school that im currently attending.
and would like to suceed there as well.

This is a nice thread . I want dreams. I want all my dreams 2 cum true. I want luv too. It'd be nice 2 hav sum1 2 luv. But mostly, the dreams. If u hav as wild of an imagination like I hav, then u know y. I'd like 2 hav goals in life too. My three top goals r:
1. To write a poem like 1 that I've never written before. *I luv writing poems.*
2. To sing a song on stage that I wrote myself. *That's probably just a deluded dream of mine, cool if it happened tho!*
3. To draw or paint sumthin like I've never drawn or painted before. *I luv Artwork too.*

Have you known that feeling for the whole thirteen years of your life? Awesomeness. On a serious note, I do disagree.

Like Lai said, love doesn't have to be something you "acquire" in life to get by. Usually people who feel lonely often, "need" or want to include love in their life by means of companionship.

From life, I would like many assets to make myself either stronger or more able in some ways or another.

I would like to continue feeling love for my boyfriend, and equally receiving it, as I am now in love truly for the first time, and I'd like to be able to feel happiness and all the beautiful things that can come from love.

But I would also like strength so that, no matter what happens in life, I can get through anything without feeling any doubt or frustration at myself or others, and not be bothered by much in the slightest.

I don't have set goals, but there are things in life that I do wish to accomplish, this including a successful (or at least half-way successful) career... And I have a want to mother a child sometime in my life, and raise it with the father (the way a true happy family should be.)

I just want to live happy. I don't need power or wealth. I just want my family and my loved ones, and yes, myself, to all live happily.

If I said I didn't care about money, I'd be a liar. Everyone needs money to live. Damn taxes! ... But being happy with my loved ones is an inexplainable feeling, and that's what matters the most. Material possession just isn't as important as the nice feeling you get inside when you're loved and you love in turn.


So... my wants are... continued love and strength.

Well we're all gonna die and I wouldn't want to live forever and if there even if eternal living was a possibility, but I would want to get love, dreams, goals, out of my life. Well for love, I would want to be with a woman that I care about so much and really means the world to me and would want to be with for the rest of my life. Right now I'm young so really not settling down soon, but when I'm older yeah. As for my goals and dreams, I really want to achieve them by having a successful career in Journalism or Sports Medicine, and making the most out of life because you only get one chance to live, see most of the world, and have a happy family. Power is a good thing to have, but you can easily lose it really quick.

I want my dreams. My dreams of love, power but most of all, knowledge and happiness. Though I find that the more I know, the more I dont know and the harder I strive. Now into third year of university, I find myself wanting to do honors and Masters (which isnt the norm in Aussie) before I find myself a job. Knowledge, I believe empowers you to achieve whatever you want. I know it sounds like 'I dream that I am knowledgable'.. but it kind of is.. Knowledge is power and the power to love. Career, money, everything else will fall into place accordingly.

I seek all the usual things, love, happiness, desires etc...

But it is my dream to fufil my goal of reviving my beliefs (3 birds with one stone, though I voted for my dreams) to a level in which they are accepted.

As many of you may know I am an Asatru Pagan, though I highly doubt much people know what that is about. I aim to one day help in changing this, the Vikings from the North were much more than people who raped and pillaged Europe, the carved out most of Europe and if it wasn't for them they would still be back in the Medieval times (Though the Celts would have probably had a much larger influence latter on had they not been forced to suffer at the hands of christianity)

I want to help seperate the Pagan beliefs out of the bible, the new Testament is pretty much taken off from Pagan folk-lore and labeled with the Jewish names. I also aim in helping to Revive the Celtic Pagan beliefs as most of it was lost and is now manipulated by new-age hippies destroying the folk element from it. I am thinking of starting my own website or at least a blog of some sorts.

Oh I also want to make a Viking based RPG someday (Never had the chance to play Valkyrie Profile).
